anyway, favorite or best matches you've ever seen, i'm gonna start off with something a little out there.

I'm usually pretty bad when picking favorite matches, just because there are so many and I know I would overlook something that is far more worthy than whatever I end up picking... with that being said, I think I can name a few.
Steel Cage Warfare
The blowoff of a feud a year in the making. Not only was this a fantastic match with all men working the cage stipulation classicaly. I would put up this against the WARGAMES of old. And the story... my word... The story behind it was so far off da hook, it's in da boat. Starting back to the beginning of Generation Next when Alex Shelley teamed up with Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, and Jack Evans to climb to the top of the roster, to Austin Aries' mutiny upon winning the ROH World Title, leading into a great Alex Shelley vs Generation Next face turn(which features another favorite match of mine, Austin Aries vs Alex Shelley (Manhattan Mayhem) ), immediately switching back to classic heel Shelley as he joined The Embassy of Jimmy Rave, Prince Nana, and Abyss. Brilliant stuff, great match, and classic cage wrestling. Good times...
Bryan Danielson vs Steve Corino
What may be my favorite Bryan Danielson title defense, I have no idea why this match is so easily forgotten as just another defense. ....oh, right. Japanese Imports... none the less, while this match may not have had WORKRATE FROM HELL which seems to be the only reason matches get rated above ***3/4 these days, it has Corino bringing us some classic old-school wrestling(which I may prefer to his XTREME ANTIX people are so fond of) and Bryan Danielson bringing us some.... well... bringing us some classic Bryan Danielson. Everything about this match just flowed so well, including a great ending stretch, and even invented the legendary "YOU'RE GOING TO GET YOUR ******** HEAD KICKED IN~!~!~!" chant(which I would have followed with "CHANT OF THE YEAR! CHANT OF THE YEAR!").
Steve Corino vs Doug Williams 2/3 Falls
Best 1PW match ever. Best 50 Minute Draw ever. And since no one here can correct me, best British Wrestling Match ever.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock (Wrestlemania XVII)

Jaguar Yokota vs. La Galactica, all the matches I've seen between them and all the ones I haven't as well. Technically they may not be the best matches I've seen...or even close on some accounts, but they were pretty great. Maybe even super great, but that would be breaking insidefabe.
