Sunlight shies down upon the mansion; Ace stretches and looks at the birds fly over head.
Biff: You ready?
Ace: Mhmm…
Biff drives alone in a car smoking a cigarette.
Biff (thinking): She’s finally better… she did it… we did it. No longer will depression loom over her. The real dreaming starts, there will no longer be any nightmares.
Biff remembers Ace hugging him in the garden.
Ace: She’s gone, I’m free! No longer will I cry out for her anymore!
Biff: What happened?
Ace: Heh-heh, she moved. But I feel great Biff!
Biff takes a puff of his cigarette back in the car.
Biff (thinking): Ace’s first love was with the same sex; forbidden to the girl’s parents… I guess when you love someone, nothing else matters… Max…
Flashing back to Ace crying on the floor, Biff hugs her.
Ace: She left me like I made you leave him…
Biff sighs in the car.
Biff (thinking): Truth, I wanted to stay with Max but it was just so suddenly that Ace called… I couldn’t think of not coming… I can’t wait to be home.
Biff drives past a sign that says “You’re Now Entering the Warp to Mahou.” Ace laughs as her cat, Leo, nuzzles her.
Ace: Beating the depression, one of the greatest feelings I’ve experienced.
Ace pats Leo’s head.
Ace: And now it’s time to help others.
Leo: Meow!
Rain pours down as Biff enters Camdene; he lights up a cigarette and looks at the car’s clock. The clock reads twelve. Biff catches sight of a girl sitting on a bench out of the corner of his eye. He stops the car.
Biff: Why… do I feel I like I know her?
Biff gets out of his car; the rain drenches his hair as he looks at the girl.
Biff: Scarlet…
An older Scarlet sits crying on the bench; holding her wrist in a handkerchief. She looks up with her rabbit ears drenched.
Scarlet: Biff?
At Biff’s apartment complex; Biff carries Scarlet wrapped up in his overcoat up the stairs. He pulls a key out of his pocket and opens up the door. Biff carries Scarlet into the bathroom; closing the door. Later, Biff wraps gauze around Scarlet’s wrist.
Biff: What happened?
The bathroom lights hum as Scarlet remains silent and trembling. Biff embraces Scarlet and she starts to cry again.
Biff: What happened when I was gone?
Scarlet: Our lives ended…
Scarlet lies in Biff’s bed while Biff stands out on the balcony smoking. Tears roll down Scarlet’s face.
Scarlet: Karma…
Biff sighs and flicks his cigarette off the balcony.
Biff: What the hell happened...
