The battle system is round based, of course. 1 Round equals 1 action, so if you have multiple actions in a round...then all of those attacks together equal 1 round.
When you hear the term 1D6, 1D8, etc....this is referring to dice.
1D4 = 1 four sided dice
1D8 = 1 eight sided dice.
2D6 = 2 six sided dice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The battle system is fairly simple.
The first thing either player does, is role a 10 sided die. The person with the higher role goes first (this is called initiative.)
You will role your attack or defense and try to beat your opponents role. You first role your die, then you add any bonuses you might get for race or class, and then you see who's role is higher. If you hit or beat an opponent's defense role, then your attack succeeds and you role for damage.
If you do not succeed in beating an opponent's defense, then this attack is declared dodged.
Magic is done the same way. You role your magic attk. dice, then you role against your opponent's ST vs. Mgk. dice.
That's pretty much all there is to it.
I know the character creation section looks confusing, but if you read carefully, it's really not all that hard. I urge you to give creating your character's stats a try, and if it's too hard, then let me know and I'll do it for you. If you can do it yourself though, you'll better understand your character. Read all the posts that are stickied in the Character section for different aspects of the Character creation process.
ALSO BE AWARE!!!
I have added a stats section to all the character profiles that already exist. Just fill in the blanks. It's not too hard.

Sounds good Elven. That's right, Kitsuno won't be here for the next 6-8 weeks. His reasons are very reasonable, if you'd like me to elaborate then PM me and I'll explain.
