My beloved kitten, Smudge, died in my arms this morning. I've shed well over 100 tears for her and more yet to come. I even had to stay home from school today. How do you deal with death? and please be nice, this hurts enough without people telling me that I should get over it because she was only a cat.

i honestly don't know... i'll probably just say to think of all the good times and stay strong. i know it's hard to lose a pet like that but there not going to live forever. also, if you have a really good friend then maybe they'll listen. that's all i have to say, and i hoped that helped...

I've been thinking about everything we did together. I know she wouldn't live forever, but she wasn't even 2 months old. I can't really talk about it with my friends, I'd start crying and I hate it when people see me like that. What you've told me helps, but I have a long time before I'm over it, and even then I'll probably still get upset...
