I have a number of questions on British culture, society and so on, as well as polls out of curiosity to post. Where do you want them? On this general page, or under the subforum 'Britishness'?

Before I forget though, what is a 'boffin'? I read the term in another British thread.
"They call me a boffin because I'm good in class." was the remakr, I believe.

Alright then.
I am struggling to pass French right now, so it'll be a while before I get my questions up.

A boffin is a nerd, except that a nerd necessarily has no cool friends. A boffin might, but probably doesn't.
Also, nerdism is mostly to do with trying hard and having no social skills.
A boffin is more to do with ability than effort, and sometimes even implies a sort of effortless ability.

Sir_Catherine Alright then.
I am struggling to pass French right now, so it'll be a while before I get my questions up. If it helps, I speak French nearly fluently... so if you wrote them in French I could translate smile
