Okay, for a long time now I've been hearing quite a bit about Gothic Lolita, but I don't know what it is... other than anime/manga related. But I do know that despite my immense searches I only keep coming up with gothic lolita clothes and that annoys me. So I put my question here in the anime guild.. ^_^

Well, gothic lolita clothes ARE the original reference. That's why it kept coming up in your searches. That's where the phrase first came up, as a clothing style.
*cough Hot Topic cough*l
But, as far as anime and manga are concerned...
Gothic = Gothic style
Lolita = of or pertaining to young girls
In other words, a series that involves young girls in gothic style clothes. There's an anime series out in Japan called Rozen Maiden (or something like that), where there are lots of young girls wearing gothic style clothes.

LOL...What hole have you been living under? Seriously, go to your local mall, and peek in a Hot Topic (they're all over the place). Look for the Victorian style clothing in the very small sizes. Gothic Lolita...

I've managed to enter Hot Topic one or two times now but not really long enough to look, mostly because it's one place that I don't wanna take my mom into (she's not into the gothic style you know and kinda does still have influence over what I wear...) and it's my mom that takes me to the mall so...
