So, whoo. I just got the Special Edition soundtrack, it has a bonus disk with a few covers and Danny Elfman's demos of a few songs, so I just wanted to make my first offical comments.
Tracks:
1. Marilyn Manson - This is Halloween - Oh, heck yeah! This song is uber-amazing.
2. Fiona Apple - Sally's Song - I'm biased against Fiona Apple, but that aside, I think she would have done better with Oogie Bogie's Song
3. Fallout Boy - What's this? - All together, not horrible. The singer makes Jack sound kind of girly, but he almost captures the emotion in the song.
4. She Wants Revenge - Kidnap the Sandy Claws - Want to hear a version of the song that can put you to sleep? Here it is. I normally really like She Wants Revenge... but somehow, it just sounds like the singer is a really bored schizophrenic.
5. Panic at the Disco - This is Halloween - Eh... it's not bad... but I'm not sure why they would have This is Halloween twice... It's simply not as good as Manson's version.
Danny Elfman -
6. Making Christmas - Danny Elfman makes me giggle. It's just amazing what he can do with his voice.
7. Oogie Bogie's Song - OMG. I am so glad they hired Ken Page. I love Danny, but he is soooo unintimidating in his Oogie voice.
8. Kidnap the Sandy Claws - Someone at Disney Records was really confused when they were making the list of songs... because it says This is Halloween.
9. This is Halloween - Which was switched with Kidnap the Sandy Claws. ^^

I've heard the Marilyn Manson This IS Halloween....I don't like it <_< But I like the movie version, i FINALLY got to see the movie...it was on cartoon netowork the monday before halloween

Hah cool soundtrack! I've heard Marilyn Manson sing This Is Halloween. It was pretty cool but he did it like the movie does it...*shrug*
