What can sage be used for? My uncle sometimes burns it before he eats, but what are it's other uses? Does anyone have any in-depth information?
Btw, my uncle is greatly attuned to the Native american blood within him.
P.S.--Info on mint would be nice, too.

-- Sage is very good for sore throats, as well as preserving certain foods and giving them different flavours. It also is seen as the "immortality plant," because it is said to ensure the consumer long life and cure all diseases. I believe it is sometimes used as an aphrodisiac, as well.
Now Mint on the other hand is used for cough, flu, respiratory diseases, and stomach troubles. It is believed to also ward off drunkenness and protect people from the evil eye. Yet again, it is sometimes used as an aphrodisiac. --

The drunkenness cancelling effects of mint have never been proven, really. But for colds and respiratory, it's wonderful.
(P.S. Ishtar! Yay!)
