Fairy Godfather and Faevan stand nervously by the doors to the restricted wing of the library. Faevan runs her hand through her short hair, sighing.
"I should have never let her go in there..." She whispered, frustration edging her voice.
"It's not your fault. You didn't know." Fairy Godfather pats Faevan's back in reassurance. "None of us could have known. We'll get her back, you'll see. As soon as Ms. Buffy arrives..."

Pushing through the doors of the restricted section, Buffy and Eragon smack right into Fae and FG. Flailing backwards, Buffy falls on her butt with an 'omph!'
Helping his mother up, Eragon looks around the room. "We saw the attention posted on the front gates of the library. Where is she?" he asked, trying to look around the pair before him.
Buffy moaned, "Where's my baby?" She sobbed quietly onto Fae's shoulder. Sniffling, she tried to get her emotions under control. "Illyria dissapears, we run out of coke, what's next? World's going to end?" she said as she began sobbing again.

Faevan Sighed as Buffy sobbed into her shoulder, looking at Eragon with a sad expression.
"Buffy, Eragon, this is my fault." Faevan pulled back, looking Buffy in the eyes. " A few days ago, Illy came in talking to me. She wanted something to do, so I gave her what I though was a journal to write in." Faevan feebly reached into her backpack, pulling out a book with what appeared to be blank pages. "I should have never given it to her."
Fairy Godfather stepped forward, placing his hand on Faevan's shoulder. "This is a book of shadows...literally. Each word that is written onto the page allows the book to slowly capture the person who writes in it. It takes their greatest desire and warps it, using it to lure the owner into the shadows." He took the book from Faevan, opening it up to reveal the blank pages. Dim shadows of Illyria's handwriting were evident on the pages. "We have until these markings fade to get her back, or she'll be lost to us."

Staring into Fae's eye, Buffy smiled. "Not your fault sweets. You couldn't have known." With a sigh, she hugged her friend fiercely.
Eragon stepped foward and took the book into his hands. Running his fingers over the dim markings, he watched in horror as some of the letters began to fade. "How are we going to manage to find her?" he asked like a scared child.
Wrapping her right arm around his shoulder Buffy shook her head. "I don't know, but we have to figure out something..."

"We know where she is." Two voices, almost in unison, rang out behind the doors. Fae jumped, pulling at the knob and flinging the heavy door open as far as she could manage. There, on the other side, stood two figures. One. tall and lean, seemd to be the masculine member of the pair. The other was a bit shorter, and Faevan guessed by her long hair that she was female. But that's all she could make out. While the two figures were obviously there, and three dimensional, they were also dark as shadows. Not one feature could be seen. "You'll need to follow us to find her." The female spoke, then faded away into nothingness.
Faevan just stared, not knowing what to think. I was just hired to do the posters for the Library, I don't know anything about these things...
"Tell us what to do." Fairy Godfather stepped forward, facing the remaining shadow.
The shadow nodded, pointing to the book. "All who wish to follow, write your names on these pages. It's the only way to catch her now."

Before the strange figures could finish their sentences Eragon stribbled his name in the book. Buffy quickly signed her name beneath his.
Pushing through Fae and FG, Eragon stood before the figures defiantly. "I may not be a Jedi yet, but I will be as brave as one. Show me the way!"

"Very well, young one..." The shadow chuckled. "And is there anyone else who wishes to go?" As he spoke, Buffy and eragon began to fade away into thin air. Faevan swiftly pulled out a pencil and scrawled her name below Buffy's.
"I did this, and I'm gonna help fix it." She stated defiantly with a nod.
"I'll stay and mind the book." fairy Godfather offered. "Travel savely."
"Very well." The shadow murmured. "Stay close and when you wake up, do not move until you are jouned by one of us."
"When we wake up? What do you mean?" As Faevan spoke, a tremendous wave of nasuea broke over her, causing her to fall over to her knees. The shadow placed a hand on her head, soothing her. You'll pass out for a few moments. Don't worry, the sickness passes quickly. Faevan looked at him weakly before falling into darkness.

Feeling as if her body was losing its mass, Buffy watched as the world grew dimmer and dimmer. She instinctivly grappled for anyone or anything, but her fingers passed through everything. The world grew dark and she quivered in fear.
Next to her, Eragon stared defiantly towards the one who called him a young one; not in anger, but just because he seemed to become clearer, more defined. He felt sick to his stomach, but he quickly dismissed it. Lucikly, he didn't sleep through the 'Body-over-Mind" classes or he would have passed out by now. He just kept on staring.

Eriol ran towards the restricted area, slightly worried in spite of himself. He'd thought that Eragon was overreacting at first. After all, it was such a girly thing to do to just vanish. But if everyone was this worried... well, maybe there was something to it after all.
He was so wrapped up in his thoughts, he nearly crashed into Fairy Godfather, who was looking over some strange book. "What's that?" Wait, that wasn't important! "And what happened to Illy? And Eragon?"

Fairy Godfather looked up at Eriol.
"They've gone to retrieve Illyria. She's in here." He stated matter of factly, holding up the book for Eriol to inspect. "Would you like to join them?" He asked, a mischevious smirk on his face as he held out a pen to the young boy.

"Ugh...!" Faevan opened her eyes, looking at a pair of shadowy feet. "What the...
"Here, take my hand." A melodic femal voice spoke to her as a shadowy hand was thrust before her. Faevan blinked a few times befre accepting it, noticing that she could see the faint distinction of fingers. As she took the hand, she saw that she was just as shadowy as the other woman was.
"What heppened?" Faevan asked, looking at the woman, noticing the outling of facial features barely.
"You're a shadow like me now. That's all I can say Faevan." The shadow turned, walking onwards down what seemed to be a hallway of nothingness. "Come on, we need to find the others. Eragon is probably worried to death."

"She's in what?" Eriol blinked. "Oh, it figures all ya'd do is say somethin weird." Still, that was no ordinary book, he could tell. Frowning, he thought for a moment, then snatched the pen away. "Gimme that," he muttered, scribbling his name hastily. "Let's just get this done."
As soon as his pen left the paper, he started to feel woozy. "I dun... feel... so..." His vision grew more and more blurry, until everything finally faded into black.

Opening her eyes, Buffy shrieked as she saw nothing. Absolutly nothing. No...wait... I can make something out. she thought. A room perhaps?...
Looking around, she noticed Eragon and Eriol were close by. But they seemed odd. Their bodies were dark and almost transparent.
"Eragon?" she asked, timidly. "Here mother!" he called out to her, rushing to her side.
She held on to him tightly; she was quite afraid of the dark. Just infront of the trio stood an impatient looking male figure. He almost seemed to be chuckling, but she dismissed it.
"Where to now?" she asked.

Eriol looked around confusedly, and almost immediately wished he hadn't. "Wasn't I just.." Not bothering to finish the thought, he shrugged and started moving. Worrying about where he was would be pretty silly, if he was looking for Illy.
Much to his relief, he spotted Eragon and Buffy nearby. "Eragon!" He ran towards them, feeling a bit unnerved by the unending shadow around them. It even seemed to invade their bodies. "What IS this place?"

"Follow me..." The male shadow was back, and more visible this time. He stood before Buffy and Eragon, offering them both a hand up. He was still faint, but now they could make out the outlines of a robe, along with some facial features. Shadowy blue eyes looked kindly upon them as they got up. "Illyria is close by...but time is short. We need to hurry, but one more is coming first. I think Faevan and my sister have already gone ahead. We'll wait for Eriol and then join them."

Faevan walked in silence next to the shadow.
"Who are you?" She asked quietly. The shadow simply chuckled.
"I'm suprised you don't recognize me. But then again, i am kind of hard to see, aren't I." The shadow flared up a blue light from out of no where, and faevan gasped as she saw the face of her companion.
"But how? Why?" Faevan's eyes were wide. Teh blue light disappeared, and the shadow continued on.
"Now is not the time. We have to hurry."
