INTRO

Okay, here's a little background on you:
You are the Controller of this demension. You are the life breath of this world. You keep this plain of existance alive. You are everything you want to be. If you wish for something, you've got it. You're created by the top angel, to run this dimension. There are many of your kind, some light a.k.a Lights, some dark a.k.a. Darks, that fell when the angels and Lucifer fell. Your sister Krystella is dark. You are light. You are also the strongest of your kind. Krystella is the second, but is trying to destroy you, and become strongest. You are not allowed to interrupt the fate of your worlds. What's supposed to happen must happen. You're in charge of many. You only have one soul/heart/spirit that is hidden in a different world, therefore you cannot die, for good. you are simply taken out of that world and another replaces you when you 'Die'. Simple. Your powers wax and wane. Sometimes you are stronger than other times. Sometimes the fall drops you to almost powerless. Fortunately your power highs and lows are the same as your sisters. You're people are from a dimension called Atlanti. Your world branched out through gates into other dimensions, each was a city in each dimension, called Atlantis. You are what is known as an Atlantian.

Here and now you are:

Reila (ree-ell-ah)
Female
24 yrs old (apparently)
5'7"
slim figured

your eyes and hair change colors when you want them to. you have a fancy for wings. You don't care anymore if people know who you are since your sister has already discovered you. But you sent her packing, tail between her legs, off to lick her wounds. You are currently residing in a house high on the tallest mountain in the world. You live simply, and take care of people that are not in the Dire-Fate. People in the Dire-Fate are those whose fate will effect the world directly. The Kage are the only ones who know where you reside. You have many friends who are creatures of other worlds that live with you. A small wyvern, Lidelia is the only one who actually stays with you. You have no parents here, but you have the memories of your host body in the other dimension. You can reproduce, absolutely normal children. You fell in love once, long ago, but outlived them both. Your son died young, and your husband was slain by your sister a year later. You can sing wonderfully, and tend to borrow songs from other dimensions.

enough boring talk, onto the story!

Chapter One! Un-Fated Interference!

It's in the pre-dawn hours and you're out walking in the cold air, a long white almost elvish dress flowing over you. Lidelia is gliding high overhead, her pale white pearlescent hide glittering. Light seems to float around you and flow from you. You glide silently over grassy meadows and through silent woods. As you come to a stream, you sense a presence nearby. It's a young boy, about the age of 11. He has white spikey hair and is sitting by the stream washing his face. His nose was bleeding and he was sniffling slightly, rather angry. You approached him slowly. "Child, what has happened to you?" Your voice was light and mystical. You had been too long away from people to be humanized again. The boy looked up at you and stared in awe. "Child, close your mouth, it is unbecoming." His mouth snapped shut. "Now, tell me, what has happened to you?" He stuttered for a second, "Well, m'm'lady, I uh I got i-in a f-fight, and got a little, uhm..." He wiped the back of his hand across his nose, and it was covered in blood. You chuckled and tapped the end of his nose lightly. The bleeding stopped instantly. Taking his hand you dip it into the water and wash the blood away. "You should be carful of the fights you pick," You tell him and smile. He grins sheepishly and nods, "I will." You stand and help him to his feet. "Now you should run along before you are missed." He nods, "Thank you ma'am." He ran off waving. "You're welcome, Hatake Kakashi." You smiled, "Such a cute child. He's a lot in store for him." You turned and walked back to your house as Lidelia settled down on your shoulder. "You know, the child did win the fight?" You nod, "Of course I know. But he will not win the next one, when they ambush him because of this fight." She nodded with a slight rumble in her chest, that was the wyvern equivalent of a chuckle.

Present Time
You're now living amongst the people once again, moving from village to village as you pleased. You had just left the village of Sound, being a singer they enjoyed your company. But a darkness there disturbed you, and you moved on. You approached the Hidden Leaf Village. As you crossed through the gateway, guards just stared and let you pass. Lidelia chuckled and looked at you from her perch on your shoulder. "They always look that way, don't they?" She'd only been with you for 12 years now. You nodded, "Yes, they do." You both made your way to the Hokage. Once you found audience with him, he was quite happy to see you. "Ah! Lady Reila, how wonderful to see you again! May I ask why you have graced us with your presence?" He bowed low. You smile and shake your head, tired of the bowing. "Well, really Hokage, we've just drifted in, looking for a place to live for a while." Lidelia nodded her head, and took flight, landing on the window ledge. "Well, My lady, truthfully we have just the place for you!" The Hokage was excited and waved at one of the men, who ran out of the room, returning soon with a map of the village. "Here is a rather large place, just built, but the owner passed away. You're welcome of course to occupy it for as long as you wish to." You glanced at the map, the place was large, but welcoming to anyone. It was centralized for both the village and surrounding area's. "It looks alright to me," you confirmed. "Then as soon as you wish, you can move in M'lady." You thanked him and turned to leave when there was a commotion in the hallway. The door burst open and the Hokage's grandson tumbled in. You took it as your time to leave when the boy started up a racket. Outside was another boy, older, with blonde hair. He smiled up at you, "Heh, sorry 'bout the kid." You chuckled as Lidelia glided out of the room and landed on your shoulder. The kids jaw dropped and his eyes got wide, "What is that!?" Lidelia hissed at him, snapping her beak like jaws, fangs flashing. "This is Lidelia, Naruto." He blinked, "Whoa, how do you know my name?" You chuckled, "I know a great many things." He just watched me for a second, then something seemed to click, "You're Lady Reila!" He bowed his head. "I am," you told him as a girl with pink hair ran up to us. "NARUTO! We're gonna be late! We're getting assigned our Sensei today! Oh! M'Lady!" She bowed her head as well. "Ah, Sakura, you've grown," you commented, remembering her from one of your previous visits to the village a few years ago. She smiled at you, "Thank you M'lady. Oh, Hello Lidelia." Lidelia bowed her head and trilled a greeting to the girl. "Now, you were saying something about being late? You should hurry along," you ushured both kids away. They bade you farewell and left. You turned and walked out to the house that the Hokage had allowed you to use. The front door was locked so you phased through and unlocked it from the inside. "Well, Lidelia, find yourself a room," you told her as you looked around. The interior was plain. You found the place had seven rooms. More than most. One bathroom, 3 bed a living room, and a room that doubled as kitchen and dining room and there was an empty room. Plus the foyer. You walked to the back bedroom and found it to be the largest. Lidelia had settled into the other. "Well, this looks like a nice place, and will do well," you commented as you sat down on the low bed. The matress was soft and you sank into it quite easily. "Nice, but boring," Lidelia said as she glided in and landed on the bed beside you. The matress was soft enough to give way under her and she tumbled forward, "Ah!" You watched her and chuckled, "Brilliant." She hiss and snapped her jaws at the blanket and struggled around a bit her wings flapping oddly until she righted herself. With a slight huff of dignity. "well, I do prefer my bed," was her only comment. "Come on, lets go out and meet people, what do ya say?" She nodded and took flight, a tad awkwardly since she pushed off into soft matress. You both left and wanted out into the village, stopping once for some pastries. As you snacked on the pastries you both stopped for a drink, coffee. You sat on one of the seats and watched the people walking around. One caught your eye, someone you hadn't seen for eleven years. "Hatake Kakashi," You murmered. "It seems the boy has grown up." Lidelia looked up at him, "Do you think he's learned to pick his fights?" You chuckle, "Well, he's gotten this far, Jonin." She nodded, "Then I suppose he has." As you looked at him you noticed something, "He was given something. The Sharingan." Lidelia rumbled and agreed. "I suppose he is the one to handle it? Is he the one you predicted trouble for?" You shook your head, "No, but he will teach the one, and he will teach the Fox." Lidelia trilled slightly, remembering the incident, "Ah yes, thankfully Krystella's little morons couldn't boost him up enough. You stopped them from interfering." You nodded, "That time, and now." Lidelia chirruped as you stood. Your eyes were to the sky. Kakashi saw you and stopped, he looked up as well. A bright red light shone high, and was growing closer. "Krystella, not a chance!" you growled and stepped forward, "EVERYONE OFF THE STREET! NOW!" The street cleared, all except the jonin. "Kakashi, you too!" You warned him, not taking your gaze off the light. "I can help!" he insisted. You shook your head, "No, you can't, this is beyond anything you can comprehend." Your body began to glow and he suddenly realized to whom he was speaking, "Yes M'lady." He disappeared into a building. The light around you shone brighter until you were completely engulfed in it. The red light now hovered in front of you. "Your powers are on the wane Reila! You're no match for anyone now!" A rough male voice came from the light. "Think again Crione!" you growled, your body in a pure energy state. He growled and surged forward, his light growing in strength. You held your ground, waiting until he was too close to change his mind, then as soon as he was in striking distance, you let loose your energy, just enough. He screamed once, and was gone. You sigh and return to your corporeal form. The light from you faded and shrank into your body. "Alright, It's safe now!" you shouted to the people around. Slowly people began to peek out from buildings and wander back into the street. You returned to your seat. "She keeps sending them, I can't figure out why though! She knows I would destroy him. He was such a low class!" Lidelia shrugged, "I don't understand either. You think she would send someone stronger." You sigh and sip at your coffee. Without looking you knew someone had approached you. "Yes, Kakashi?" you turned and looked up at him. "Well, M'lady, I just wanted to ah, apologize for not ah, listening to you." He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. "Don't worry about it. Now, there are three youngsters waiting for you, you'd better hurry along." He nodded and bowed his head. "Hatake Kakashi, do not bow. I am weary of that." You say, taking a bite of the pastry. He nods, "Alright then." Then he turned and left. "That one interests me." You look up suddenly, and Lidelia follows your gaze. "What is is Reila?" she asks, not seeing what you see. Then three groups of red dots appear in the sky, and split up, streaking across the blue. "What is it? Did you see that? What were they?" voice chime from all over the street. "More?" Lidelia asks. You nod, "Thirteen." Sighing you make your way back to your house. Lidelia lands on the back of one of the dining room chairs, "We're going to have trouble." You nod and stare out the window at the small garden behind the house. The plants are untended and dying. You wave your hand at them, and they flourish. "We'll need to team up again. That was Lady Criessa's mistake." Criessa had been the Controller before you. She was killed by your sister. You took her place here in this dimension. "Else wise, we'll have too many to deal with. If we team, then they are forced to. Criessa didn't understand that. She thought she could take them on on her own." You shake your head and sigh. "The ninja are teaming up, why not weedle our way into a team?" Lidelia asked, stretching her wings out in the sun, soaking up the warmth. "We'll just let the Hokage take care of that." You walk to the door, "Are you coming this time?" you ask. She shook her head, "No, I'll stay here. I could use a nap." You nod and leave, making your way quickly down to the training center for the ninja. You look up at the buildings and shake your head, then disappear, reappearing in front of the Hokage. "Lady Reila, what is it that you require?" He asks. "I want to team up with someone. There are more of my kind, and I want to force them into working through people, rather than on their own so that they don't cause as much damage as they can." He nodded, "Any team you wish to join you may. " he told you, taking a scroll and writing down a note. "Just give them this, and they'll know to let you join." You nod, "thank you." You walk out and wander down the hallway. A cold feeling washes over you. "You bastards!" you growl. One had effected a Fate Line. Two lives had been taken. You close your eyes and follow the lines. A young woman and a boy had been killed. Kakashi had fathered an unknown son. The son was to go on to become a great man. But one of the Dark's had killed him. "Alright fine." You knew what your job was now. You hated it, but you had no choice. You turn down another hallway and approach a class room. You see Kakashi holding a chalk board eraser, and three students. You walk in, "Hatake Kakashi." You state. He turns to look at you, "M'lady, what is it I can do for you?" You hand him the scroll and he takes it, opening it and reading it. "Alright then. Rather unorthodox, but something we can easily make room for. Welcome to Team 7." The kids look up at you, "She's joining us?" Naruto asked. You smile, "yes, I am. Naruto." He grins sheepishly, "Well, I think it's great!" Sakura ran up to you and hugged you. You smile, "Yes it is." Kakashi and the others look suprised, "Sakura! That is out of order!" Kakashi reprimands. You shake your head, "No it isn't. Sakura knows I prefer the lack of pomp and curcumstance. I am simply a person, just as you are. Almost. And as such I like to be treated as a normal person. M'lady does not apply to any of you anymore." Naruto grinned and gave a thumbs up. Uchiha boy said nothing. "Sasuke? Hm... Uchiha. Very interesting." He looked at you slightly suprised, but said nothing. You looked over at Kakashi, "I mearly want to shadow you. Later I will explain." He nodded, "Very well." You sit down on the desk in the front of the room and wait a bit while they talk. "We will begin tomorrow. Make sure not to eat breakfast before we meet." Sakura raised her hand after Kakashi finished, "Sensei? Why not?" Kakashi turned his eye upon her, "Because, you dont want to throw up." She chuckled nervously, "Ah." The three students left. "Sensei huh? Never would have thought that of the bloody nosed little boy by the stream, if I hadn't known better." You say as he turned to face you. "Yes, well, I've changed a lot sense then." was his only comment. "Yes, well, as I promised, I will explain." Kakashi jabbed a thumb at the door. You shrug, knowning as well as he did that Sakura an Naruto were listening in, and Sasuke was standing, trying to look like he wasn't. "My sister has sent fourteen of her underlings here. They are bound to cause more trouble. You saw that I took one out today. But if I join myself with people here, then they must as well. It's an odd rule, but a good one. Especially in my case. I'm on a wane." He nodded, understanding what you meant. Most did. "I want to bond myself to the group, if you will allow me to." He nodded, "I dont see why not." You smile, "You dont understand. You see, it's a blood exchange. It does tend to tamper with the chakra sometimes. but never negetively. But I want you to be aware. And it is up to you, since they are your students. You have the ability to veto my idea." He pondered for a moment, "No, I think it is a good idea. Whenever you wish, you may bond to them." You look him directly in the eye, "And you?" He shrugged, "And me." You stand and walk over to him, "give me your wrist." He pulled off his glove and held out his wrist. You held yours up, drawing a nail across it, sliting open the flesh. Then you did the same to him. Placing your wrists together, you place your hand on them and signal him to do the same. "Repeat after me, even if you dont understand." He nods, telling you he will. Light began to shine from your joined wrists. "Nin, sereg lin sereg." you said your voice rippling with power. he repeated in a voice stronger than he'd ever spoken, "nin sereg lin sereg." You spoke again, "Nin anna lin anna." And he echoed, "Nin anna lin anna." Light circled around your wrists now, spiraling up to your elbows. "Nin ambar bar," you spoke. "Nin ambar bar," came his voice out of the light that now obscured everything from view. "Lin ambar bar," your voice said as sparks trailed up your arms. "Lin ambar bar," he repeated as the sparks rippled over his body and yours. "Sereg Feir!" You finished. "Sereg Feir!" He echoed. As his last word died, everything that had come from your wrists suddenly was sucked back inside in an instant. You both stood for a second, letting the moment sink in. "So, is it done then?" He asked. You nodded, and pulled your wrist from him. Both were healed, and on his was a mark, a sort of sideways and elongated 'S' shape with a star in the center. "yes, we're done." Kakashi raised his wrist in front of his face and inspected the mark. It was a pearlescent pale green color. "Interesting," his said, turning his wrist and watching the reflection in the light. "Do not let anyone see it. It could put you in danger should and of the Darks find out about it." He nodded and slid his glove back on. "You can repeat this with the students tomorrow, at training." You nod, "Alright." You smile and look down at your wrist and see a shining star on it. "That one is you," you say, holding your wrist up to show him. He smiled, "How interesting!" You both turned and walked towards the door, hearing the scrambling of the three to get out of there. You sensed them leaving, Sasuke jumping out a window and running across the roofs, Sakura down the hallway and into the girls restroom. Naruto ran down the hallway the other direction and turned into another hallway, and ran out into the sunshine. You chuckle, "Ah, eavesdropping. Such fun." Kakashi nodded, "Have you plans for lunch?" He looked down at you. You shake your head and smiled up at him, "no, but I should get back and get something for Lidelia." He raised and eyebrow. "My room mate," You explain, smiling at the thought of Lidelia hearing you say that. "She can't cook, isn't really, ah, equipped for it." He shrugged, "alright, well, then some other time?" You wave a hand at him, "Oh nonsense, come on, I'll cook lunch." You loop your arm through his and lead him on to your house. You opened the front door. "Lidelia! We have a guest for lunch!" you call as you shut the door and slip your shoes off. Lidelia glides in and settles on your shoulder. "Ah, Lidelia, there you are." She blinked a few times and looked at Kakashi. "So, this is who you chose huh?" she asked, sniffing a bit. "Well, suit yourself." She took off and flew out into the back yard. "Yeah, she's a lot nicer once you get to know her." He nodded, "I'd hope so." You motion towards the living room, then realize it's bare. You blink your eyes and as you walk into it, there are cusions on the ground for seats, a low table and a fire snapping in the fireplace. "There we are. Do have a seat. Do you have anything you prefer for lunch?" You ask as he seats himself. "Whatever is on the menu today is fine by me," he assures you. You smile and walk into the kitchen. Waving your hand you take care of the meal and the barren kitchen. "Alright, we'll I've got some soup and there's sandwiches," you peek out at him. He smiles and nods, so you bring out a platter of sandwiches, all bite sized and a large pot of soup floats along behind you, along with bowls and spoons. His eyes widen a bit, but he accepts it. The meal settles down on the table and you sit across from him. You both idley chatter as you eat. He lets you in on tomorrows training exercises. "How interesting, and I suppose that is the real reason they were not to eat?" He chuckles, "of course." You grin, "Lying to your students, how awful of you." He grins, "yes, well, I figured it was the easiest way for them to cooperate. Now, you shouldn't go around telling people that I've taken this off." He flicked his masks with his left hand. "Few have seen me without it." You chuckle, "Your secret is safe with me. But really, it's not as though you've anything to hide, or be ashamed of, except of course, that wonderful tan line that they leave." His fingers traced where his mask rested, right along the line. "Yes, well, yet another reason for me to keep it on." You giggle and look up as Lidelia glided in. "Well, you two are getting along," She commented as she settled down. You snapped your fingers and a bowl appeared in front of her. You reached out and filled it for her. She dipped her muzzle down into it and lifted her head and tilted it back, swallowing the broth. "well, I must say, life here must be interesting for you two. I mean, ah, not to be rude, and I don't mean to offend you, but you do make quite an odd room mate," Kakashi said to Lidelia. She kept her eyes on him, fixated as she grabbed a sandwich. "I dont see why it would be so odd," You say, trying to break the silence. "Lidelia is the ideal company. I couldn't imagine anyone better." A soft trill eminated from her chest at your comment. Her pale blue eyes never left Kakashi though. He chuckled nervously and you tapped Lidelia's mind. (lia! enough, let the man be. I cannot change what it is I must do. you'll have to deal with that. it is what and who I am. it is what I am here to do.) She said nothing in return, but dropped her eyes down to her bowl and took another mouthful of soup. "So, what is it that I can do during the training? Is there anything I can do to help?" Kakashi set his chin on his hand. "Well, you can maybe coach the students. Naruto s headstrong, he tends to get too excited. Sakura, well she's a tad weak, and needs more motivation. Sasuke, well, he's trying to live up to the Uchiha name. He needs some sort of directions, to keep him from overdoing it." I nodded, "I think they're a good bunch. Really, they've got a lot ahead of them, all of their class does. But I really think they'll do good." He smiled, "I hope so. Truthfully, I've never passed a bunch of students. They never get it. Teamwork, they have to work together. But who knows, right? Maybe this group will do better." You grin and nod, "Maybe." You both finished your meal and Kakashi stood, "Thank you for the meal, and I plan on seeing you tomorrow at training." You nodded, "I'll be there. I promise. And I'll bond with the students after
training, assuming they pass." He grinned and put his masks back onto his face and walked out the door. Halfway down the walk he stopped and turned. You smiled and both waved, then he turned and left. You sigh and close the door. "Well, I think this will be much easier than I originally thought. He seems nice, and well, better than a lot of people I expected he could have been." Lidelia shrugged her shoulders, making her wings rise and fall, "You never can tell." You grinned and rolled your eyes, "You are way too overprotective. I am the Controller, you really shouldn't worry about me." She nodded, "You're right, I shouldn't, but I do."

Chapter Two! Training Day, Bonding. and a Brother!

In the morning you walked out to the spot that you were supposed to meet for the days training. You sat high in a tree, keeping watch of the roads that joined there. Leaning back against the trunk, Lidelia settled in your lap, and you both napped until they arrived. You slept until Kakashi kicked the tree. The tree shuddered and you sat up, "Ah!" Looking down you saw the group beneath you. "Wake up! It's training time!" Sakura called up to you. You rolled over and fell, landing on your feet beside them. "Alright, but you didn't have to wake me!" you grumbled. "She's not a morning person," Lidelia teased. Sasuke stared at the wyvern, though tried not to. Lidelia, however, noticed. "There's no need to stare like that, boy!" she snapped at him. He glared and turned his head with a "huumphf." Sakura giggle and reached up and scratched the back of Lidelia's neck ridges. "I'm sure he didn't mean to. But it's hard not to the first time someone sees you," she said. Kakashi cleared his throat, "Alright, I think it's time to get back on track." You stepped back with Lidelia and let them get to their training. Kakashi explained about the bells, and then they got started. Naruto of course was headstrong, just as Kakashi had said. You closed your eyes, thinking how easy a task it was. After both bells had been taken, you woke, yet again. Naruto was tied up and complaining, but you ignored him as best you could. "Well, that was done quickly," You commented approaching them. "QUICKLY! You've been sleeping all morning! It's late now!" You looked up as Naruto was yelling, "Not really. Besides, there is no real late on this world." Kakashi glared at Naruto, "Naruto, that's enough, remember, she is still Lady Reila, no matter how you speak to her. And that was uncalled for!" You put a hand on his shoulder, "Now now, let the boy yell. Maybe he'll lose his voice and spare us all." You grinned and Lidelia rumbled out a chuckle. "I must say you all did well, but not as well as you could have," you told them, sitting down on top of a boulder nearby. You talked to them all for a bit, telling them some of the mistakes you saw. "But you were asleep!" Naruto pointed out. "Was I?" you asked with a mischevious gleam in your eye. He frowned, "well, I uh, well,..." Sasuke spoke up, "You're not a ninja, so what do you know of fighting?" You look at him out of the corner of your eye, giving him a harsh look. In the silence he looked away. "I've lived far longer than you, and have been fighting long before your world was ever brought into existance," You told them all with a flat tone, rather unfond of the whole idea of it, but accepting it all the same. Kakashi nodded, "You say you would do it differently, so how would you have done it?" You look up at him, "Well I would have done this," you held out a closed hand and opened it, showing the bell. Sakura gasped, "That's the one I took! I remember the scratch on the side." You nod, "but then that would have been unfair." You toss the bell to Sakura, who catches it and looks it over. "But really, to getin faster, you have to use your advantages, such as a blind side. Sasuke, you originally attacked from the blindside." He nodded, "I did." You circled around Kakashi, and smiled, "and anything he seems to favor, such as his left leg, take note." Kakashi turned his head to keep you in sight as you circled. "And, figure out why he placed the bells where he did, his belt, an easy spot to defend, but only from certain spots." In a speed that any of them could have acheived you lept towards him, and placed your hand on his side where the bells had been. "So, really, it's just however you find a way to get in, you get in." Kakashi looked suprised, but nodded. "She's right, assess not only the situation and the goal, but the opponent. You all believed to know what you thought was enough about me, but she just pointed out some things that I can tell none of you noticed." They all nodded. "Right Sensei," Sakura said. Sasuke was watching you, listening, and you could tell he was impressed. You looked at them all, then pointed to Sakura, "Studious." Then to Sasuke, "Strong." Then to Naruto, "Driven." You nodded, "You've each got your high points, and your low points, build off each other. Learn from the others. You're not here to beat them, you're here to grow and learn from them and your Sensei. Remember that." You pointedly looked at Naruto and Sasuke. "Well, I've got to be off, something I need to take care of," You say, turning to face Kakashi, "I may be gone for a while. Dont worry about me, I'll catch up to you. I'll perform the bonding when I return." He nodded, "take care." You realized he sensed the urgency and danger of your personal mission. "Thank you, we will," you and Lidelia then disappear. You appear in a village far from the group. "Farios! Show yourself!" You shout. There's a dark cackle from the shadows over your left shoulder. "Ah, Reila, so glad to have you drop by," red eyes shone out from the dark, You turned to face him and glared. "Come on, do you really want to fight me? On the wane? You really ready to die, or just stupid?" he taunted. "Enough Farios, come out," You growl, "Or I'll come in." He chuckled and stepped out. His body was tall and gangly, large black demonic wings stood tall behind him. You sprouted silver and white wings, and fluffed the feathers, so the silver side, the blade side, was out. Farios chuckled and rushed at you. You threw open a wing and twisted out of his attack, slicing him to peices. As his body faded away you looked up and saw two more red streaks fly across the sky. "What is this? Kill one, and get two more?" Lidelia asked aggitatedly. "seems like it, huh?" you turn and disappear. "This is happening in all of the dimensions in which I am the Controller. She's planning something. I dont know what, but I know she is," you told Lidelia, and continued to walk through the woods where you originally lived. "Think she's gonna show up here?" Lidelia asked, gliding along side of you. "She might, but I doubt it, she was worse off then I was when she left," you say, watching the stream run by. You noticed the spot where you first met Kakashi. "Well, lets find the others. Try to get ahead," you say and looked over at Lidelia. "No need of that Reila," a cold and dark womans voice came from behind you. You turned and saw seven standing there. You searched out with your mind and found them to be it. "Alright, Castara. You come for a fight?" You asked facing her dead on. She smirked, "I've come to kill you. Krystella finds you to be quite the nuisance. She wants it ended." You chuckled, "Me? She's the one to complain, after I sent her packing the last time we met." Castara glared and snapped her fingers, and the seven disappeared, but you could feel them around you, waiting to attack. You turned to your pure energy form, and felt the others do the same. Their light was black and empty, cold. You on the other hand were bright warm and full of love. The same as you were when you were created. Suddenly all seven rushed at you. There was a collision of lights, and from the outside view nothing happened, but inside you were battling, pushing and striving with power, raw energy. This lasted for a few days. Then you rose up and destroyed them all at once. Returning to your human form you fell to the ground. "You did well, dont worry," Lidelia said, appearing beside you. "We should return, you need rest for a while." You nod, "Alright, lets go." You both faded away, and appeared beside the group. You were watching a young boy, take away the supposedly lifeless body of Zabuza. You waited in the shadows, and watched. When they left and Kakashi fell, you walked over and helped him up, "You alright?" you ask him. "Yeah, welcome back," He grinned at you, trying to be strong. You reached up and pulled down his headband over his Sharingan. "Alright, let's go," you said to the others. They nodded, "Right!" Naruto said, still jazzed from the fight. You helped Kakashi walk, half carrying him to the village. Before you made it there he passed out, and you and Sasuke carried him into the Bridge Builders house. You helped the builders daughter settle Kakashi into a bed. "Well, now lets have something to eat?" The lady asked. You nod, "first I want to talk to the kids, we'll join you soon." She nodded and left. "Alright, I know you all know about the bonding. I want to--" you were cut off by Naruto. "I say yes!" he thrust his wrist forward. Sakura nodded and held her hand out as well. Sasuke watched for a second and looked away. "You dont have to, but it would be much better if you did. It'll help you, and make you stronger as well," you left out the word 'eventually'. Sasuke, not wanting Naruto to have the upper hand, held his wrist out as well. You took Sakura's hand, since she was closest, cutting your wrist and hers. She whimpered slightly, but did well. "Repeat after me; Nin Sereg lin sereg, nin anna lin anna, nin ambar bar lin ambar bar, Sereg Feir." She repeated it and the same thing as before happened. Then you bonded to Naruto and to Sasuke. You held out your wrist and showed them the three smaller stars beneath the first. "One for each of you." You hand out of nowhere, a pink wrist band to Sakura, "Wear this over the mark." She nods, "Right," and takes it, slipping it on her wrist. The boys pulled gloves back on and covered theirs. "Alright, let's get something to eat," The students stood and left, you took one more look at Kakashi. Walking downstairs you ate, and brought a bowl of broth up to Kakashi's room, keeping it warm yourself, you sat beside him and waited for him to wake. The mother walked in, "How's he doing?" You looked up at her, "Still sleeping, poor thing." After you said this, almost as if to prove you wrong, Kakashi stirred. "Ah, you're awake!" She said, and he looked up at her. He sat up a bit, "Uh, yeah. Oh!" You put a gentle hand on his shoulder, "lay down. You still need to rest." He looked at you for a moment, searching your face. "Yeah, alright," he sighed and closed his eyes. The mother turned and left, walking downstairs to inform the others he had woke up. Scooting up to his head, you looked down at him and he opened his eyes. "Hey, you feeling well enough to get something down? You need to eat. I brought you some broth." He tried to sit up, but had to lay down again. "Alright, relax," You reached out, lifting his head, you laid it on your lap, and fed him. There was a scratch at the door, then a light tap, and he pulled his masks back up. "Come in." You set the bowl down and waited. The door opened and a blonde head peered in. "Come on, come in," you urged. Sakura followed Naruto in, and Sasuke came in after her. "Ah, so you're all doing well then?" Kakashi asked. Naruto nodded, "Yeah, we're fine." You smiled, "they did well. You should be proud." Kakashi nodded and closed his eyes, slightly moving his head against your lap. "They did. I am proud of them," he looked at them, "She's right, you did well. Good job. You're all improving." He sighed and seemed to relax a bit. You smile softly, "how about we let him rest?" The others nodded and stood. "Thank you, Lady Reila, for taking care of Kakashi-sensei," Sakura said as they left. You nod and look down at the man sleeping in your lap as the door shut. "Ah, Kakashi, you did well too," you murmer, and stroke his face. He smiles slightly in his sleep. You gently lift his head and lay it down again, off of your lap, then lean down and kiss the side of his face. "Sleep well," you whisper, then rise and leave. You walk through the town, as Lidelia rested on the window by Kakashi. You wander through town, saddened by what you see. A few of the older villagers recognize you and bow, "Lady Reila! We are honored by your presense here." The middle generation caught on, and did the same. You sigh, knowing it would never change. You walk out to where the feilds were and frown. Walking over to one, you lay your hand on the ground and whisper, "man erulisse, anna thalion!" the ground glowed and the plants prospered and grew suddenly. One of the men nearby reached down and pulled up a large and healthy carrot. "LOOK! LOOK! LADY REILA HAS BLESSED THE CROP!" People rushed over to see, and you took that moment to disappear. You kept walking through the streets, until a hand touched your arm. A small girl smiled up at you weakly. "Have you anything extra ma'am?" she asked with a hoarse voice. You knelt down and smiled at her. "How many are in your family?" She raised a hand, "Five," she said and showed. "Alright, then. You waved your hand and handed her a cloth wrapped package. "Take this home." Inside were five bread rolls and five onions, and two large potatoes. She smiled and thanked you, and ran off. You looked around and saw a boy watching you, but he couldn't stand, because of a crippled leg. You walked over to him and knelt beside him. "Eat this," you said, handing him a bread roll. "And trust that you will heal." You touched his left leg softly. He smiled, "Thanks." He coughed slightly, but ate the roll. You could see the change in him almost instantly. He took a deep breath and smiled up at you. "Thank you Lady Reila!" he beamed up at you. You ruffled his hair, "It's no problem, little Kiba." You stood and walked back towards the bridge builders home. Once you got back, and up to Kakashi's room, you found him sitting up and finishing of the rest of the broth. "Is there more?" he asked as you entered. You waved your hand at the bowl and filled it with soup. "Ah, thank you," he said, setting into eating. You sit against the wall and sigh, "These are the villages I dont like coming to. It saddens me to see them. To see the people hurting. I am here to protect and help them, but I cannot interfere. How is it things can get this way!" Kakashi looked up and could see the angry tears stinging at your eyes. "Reila, you feel their pain, their hunger dont you?" he asked setting the bowl down. You nod, "And I feel their sadness, their loss of hope, their, their everything." Tears fell from your eyes now, trailing down your face in hot streams. Kakashi stood a little shakily and walked over to you, sitting down beside you, he pulled you into his arms. "I'm sorry for you then," he said as you cried. He stroked your hair softly and held you close. "We're going to help them, once the bridge is built, then they'll fare better," he said to try to comfort you. "I know, but that doesn't help the little ones on the streets, or the old ones at home, slowly dieing because of one man's greed," you sobbed angrily, and gripped his shirt in your fist. His embrace tightened around you and he lay his head on yours. "They'll get help. I know it," he said softly to you. You nod, "I know. I know they will. I will if no one else ever does." He rubbed your back until your sobbing had stopped and you leaned against him silently. "Kakashi?" you broke the silence softly. "Hm?" He looked down at you, "what is it Reila?" You looked up at him, "Thank you. I'm sorry to unload on you like this." He chuckled and winked, even though it was hard to tell, "It's alright, I'm glad that you trust me enough to." You smile and wipe the tear stains from your face. He smiled and leaned you up, "Now, how about we find those students of mine, and get them training again?" You realize he had already told them that Zabuza was not dead. "Alright, they're downstairs," you stood and offered your hand to him. He took it and stood, waving your hand you dressed his wounds. "You'll need crutches for that leg." You snapped and they appeared. "Ah, nurse Reila," Kakashi teased. You grinned and walked out of the door, waiting for him in the hall. You both made your way downstairs and Kakashi told the students they were going to train. You stayed for a bit, and helped the mother make a meal for the family, putting a stew together, and letting it simmer. You smiled, "Well, I have to go, see what they're up to." She nodded and you left. You appeared by the forest, watching Kakashi walk up the tree. You laugh softly to yourself, thinking he looked a bit funny standing upside down on the branch. When he instructed the students to try, you lept to the branch he was on. "So, just hanging around today?" you ask, looking down at him with a big grin on your face. He chuckled, "I guess so." You looked up, "Ah, Sakura has figured it out." Kakashi looked over, "so she has. Seems she's the best at the chakra control." You nod, "yes, she's a smart girl, I'm not suprised she's the one who figured it out." You rolled off the branch, and floated in front of Kakashi, "Need help down?" He grinned, "If you're offering." You took his hand and both appeared on the ground. You sat down by one tree and watched the boys running up and falling down the tree trunk. You watched as both created a trail of marks up the tree, slowly inching upwards. Kakashi motioned Sakura over, "Sakura, why don't you go to the bridge and stay with the builder, watch out there." She nodded and left. "Well, not much for us to do, now is there?" Kakashi looked down at you. You looked up and smiled, "Not really, go for a walk?" He nodded and you stood up, and both walked off. You followed a small river that snaked its way to the village. For the first bit you both walked in silence. Then Kakashi spoke, "Well, I dont know too much about you, but I have heared you have the voice of an angel." He tilted his head to look at you. You shrugged and watched the water, "I suppose some people are predisposed to their own opinions." He kept on, "Well, if you wouldn't mind, I'd love to create an opinion of my own." You stopped by a wide spot in the river, where there was a nice sized bank. "Shall we sit for a while?" you ask, walking over to the sandy area. Kakashi followed, having a little difficulty when his crutches sunk into the sand. You found a large flat rock and sat down, feet in the water, shoes beside you. The rock was half in the sand, half in the water. Kakashi smiled and watched you, then walked up behind you. "Really, you must sing for me. I've been dying to hear you sing since we met," he said, joining you on the rock. You looked up at him, since he was still taller than you, even sitting. "Why," you asked skeptically, "are you so persistant? I didn't think you to be a musical person." He shrugged, "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not, that doesn't change the fact I want to hear you sing." You chuckle and skip a rock across the river. "Four skips!" You smile and look up at him. He smiles back at you. "So?" he asks, still insistant. You sigh, "Any favorites?" He shook his head, "Anything you want to sing." You sigh and lean back slightly, songs rushing through your head, trying to find the best. "Hm...how about this one, Where my Heart will Take me." You hum slightly to get the right note, then start into the song;

"It´s been a long road, getting from there to here.
It´s been a long time, but my time is finally near.
And I can feel the change in the wind right now. Nothing´s in my way.
And they´re not gonna hold me down no more, no they´re not gonna hold me down.

Cause I´ve got faith of the heart.
I´m going where my heart will take me.
I´ve got faith to believe. I can do anything.
I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me.
I can reach any star. I´ve got faith, I´ve got faith, faith of the heart.

It´s been a long night. Trying to find my way.
Been through the darkness. Now I finally have my day.
And I will see my dream come alive at last. I will touch the sky.
And they´re not gonna hold me down no more, no they´re not gonna change my mind.

Cause I´ve got faith of the heart.
I´m going where my heart will take me.
I´ve got faith to believe. I can do anything.
I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me.
I can reach any star. I´ve got faith, faith of the heart.

I´ve known the wind so cold, and seen the darkest days.
But now the winds I feel, are only winds of change.
I´ve been through the fire and I´ve been through the rain.
But I´ll be fine.

Cause I´ve got faith of the heart.
I´m going where my heart will take me.
I´ve got faith to believe. I can do anything.
I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me.
I can reach any star. I´ve got faith.

I´ve got faith of the heart.
I´m going where my heart will take me.
I´ve got strength of the soul. And no one´s gonna bend or break me.
I can reach any star. I´ve got faith, I´ve got faith, faith of the heart."

Kakashi smiled and clapped when you finished, "amazing. You sing so wonderfully!" You blushed and turned your head away. "Well, like I said, opinions." He mearly shook his head and chuckled. You sighed and leaned back against him. He moved to allow you. You both sat for a while, watching the river. "It's times like these," Kakashi finally said, "that make the fights worth it." You nod, "Yes is it." You snuggle against him, realizing it was getting late. "We should head back, it'll be time for dinner by the time we get there." Kakashi nodded and stood up, helping you to your feet, and you walked back together. Lidelia joined you as you approached the village. "Well, today was quite," she commented. You nod, "So it was." You all arrive just in time to eat, like you had predicted. Both boys were scarfing their food down like animals. You chuckled as you watched them. Then they turned and threw up. You grimaced and waved a hand under the table to clean it up. After Kakashi was done reprimanding them you shook your head, "You really shouldn't waste any of the food here." The boys looked at you sheepishly. Sakura was staring at her food, rather unsure if she wanted to continue her meal after the display of the boys meals. When Sakura stood to clear the image from her head, she asked about the picture, and you listened to the story the old man told. You sighed, remembering when it happened. Naruto jumped up and gave a speech about proving there were heroes. You stood, "But heroes wont do much without rest, now, I think we all, especially Kakashi, should get some rest." There was a round of agreement, and you helped Kakashi up the stairs with his crutches. "Alright you. Now, sleep well," you said, standing at his door. He smiled, "No lullaby?" You shook your head and laughed, "Ah, the impossible male!" Walking in you sat down beside his bed. "You know, he's not gone," you say. Kakashi closed his eyes, and a sigh escaped him, "I know." You reach out and touch his arm. "Something wasn't right, you weren't originally supposed to be hurt this badly. By now, you should have been back on one crutch. Zabuza has a friend, one of my kind. I'll help this time. I can only help you when there is interference. You know that right?" He looked up at you and nodded, "Yeah, I know. Thank you." You smile and brush the side of his face with the back of your hand. You notice him blink, but say nothing, and stand. "Good night," you say as you open the door. "Good night," Kakashi echoes. You leave and wander outside, back to the river. Walking along it like you had 11 years ago along a different river, with lights floating around you, and Lidelia gliding above you. Your hair was long and red flowing behind you. You sigh, reluctant to join in the fight, and angry that you had to. What was your sister up to? You asked yourself. What was she trying to do? Be a pain in the a**, part of your mind answered. You closed your eyes and sat down on the rock that you and Kakashi had sat on earlier. You knew when they had a later supper, and Kakashi woke, but you decided not to join them. Not until Kakashi sat with the young boy, and spoke to him did you return. Something was approaching, you could feel it. Something dark. Something that wasn't supposed to happen. You sat inside, listening to Kakashi talk with the boy, about Naruto and other things, "My guess is he just got tired of crying and decided to do something about it. He knows what it means to be strong, just like your father did." You smile softly, rather proud of him. You didn't realize you had spaced out, wondering what it was that was coming, until Kakashi walked back inside and stopped beside you. "If you're tired, you should lay down," you heard him say. Looking up you smile a bit, "I was just lost in thought for a bit." You stand and brush off your clothes. You both walk upstairs, and you stop by Kakashi's door, and wait for him to settle down. "You're welcome to stay in here for a while, if you're not tired," he offered. You chuckle, "Alright." You settle down by the wall, looking out the window. "Spiral spin, ride the whirlwind. Knowing when the drumming stops, there'll be no second dance," you find yourself saying. Kakashi looks over at you, "what?" You close your eyes, a soft smile that told well of your long life playing on your lips. "Nothing really, just an old saying," you tell him. He sits up a bit more, "there's something you know, and you're not telling." Sighing, you nod, "there is. But I think I shall keep it to myself, at least for a while longer." There's a pause, then he speaks again, "you're part of the team, you dont have to be scared to share something with us?" You smile, "there are things that are beyond anything you know." He layed back down, "I suppose you're right. Alright then, should you ever change your mind, I'm here." You nod, "Should I ever have to bring it to your attention, I will." You leaned against the wall and closed your eyes. Kakashi fell asleep first, and you listened to his steady breathing for a while, until sleep came to you as well. You slept well into the night, and woke up near midnight. Something was calling you. You look over at Kakashi, who's sound asleep. Lidelia is next to you, sleeping soundly as well. "Reila...Reila...Reila!" the voice whispered. You blinked and disappeared, coming to stand in a forest far from where you were before. You're no longer on the islands at all. Across the meadow from you stands a man. "Dante, what are you doing here!?" you ask in suprise. You'd always considered him as a younger brother, even though he was not actually your genetic sibling, and was created long after you were. "Please tell me you're not in line with my sister!" He looked away, down at the grass beneath him. "Well, uh, yeah..." You took a step forward, "Dante! No, please, why would you do that? How could you defy Him?" By Him, you meant God. Dante shook his head, "it's not about that. It's about being strong, being in power! We're better than them!" You knew he meant humans and other beings in the worlds that your people were Controllers of. "Dante, that's why we were created! To care for them! Not to destroy them! What were you thinking? You were always one of the best Controllers I knew! You were doing so well. Why Dante? Why would you do this?" You saw him glared, "Because, I wanted to! I want to have a choice! Not just be led in circles around and around watching over these little specs of dust. They can never be what we are, they can never mean anything to us. They're so small!" He spoke vehemently to you, and you frowned. "The Lord cries over each sparrow that falls. He knows each of them, He loves each more than ever. THEY are His people! THEY were created in His image. We mearly copy their images. We were made as beings of light and energy. But you are throwing it all away!" As you spoke you faded into your true form as a bundle of pure white light, with small flares of energy floating. He faded as well. You notices he was a light gray. "There's hope for you. Let me take you to Him. Let Him heal you and make you whole, and sinless again," you begged him. "No Reila. I'm sorry. I dont want to hurt you, please, just give in to your sister!" now he begged you. You're heart about broke because of his pain and anguish at what he was here to do. "I can't do that Dante, you know that. I am first and formost a daughter of light. I cannot, will not go against my Lord. I'm sorry. If you dont come back with me to Him, you may never get the chance to. You know I must protect this world, and you know I will." He sighed, and left. You returned to your human form and fell to the ground and cried for your little 'brother'.

Chapter Three! Zabuza's New Helpers and Anger!

You stayed out for the rest of the night, coming home after sunrise. Kakashi was standing out by the door when you walked up. "Reila! Where were you? I was starting to get worried," he approached you as you walked up to the house. "I was out," you say flatly, and walk into the house, not yet ready to talk about it. He looked suprised and watched you enter the house, "uhm, alright..." You walked briskly upstairs, and found Lidelia sunning herself. She raised her head and turned her neck around to watch you. Her wings were spread over the windowsill. You walked over to her and sank down by the window, sitting beneath her. She hop/fluttered around and sat with her back out the window, and hung her neck down to your level. "What is it?" she asked, her voice full of concern. You leaned your head back heavily against the wall, "It's, it's Dante. He's here. He's, he's with..." your voice broke and Lidelia rubbed her head against your cheek. "He's with her!" you tell her finally. She gasped and looked at you, "Are you sure?" You nod, "He told me himself. He was calling to me. So I went to him last night, he begged me to give in, said he didn't want me to get hurt. I told him I wouldnt give in and that he should return with me, to Him. He refused and left, without a word!" Tears stung your eyes and you blinked them away, refusing to cry again. She hopped off the window and onto your shoulder, wrapping her long tail around your neck comfortingly, her wings tangled in your hair, and her neck curving over your face, her face by your cheek, nuzzling it. "It will all be well soon. I believe it will," she crooned. You could no longer stop the tears, and felt them trickle down your face as you stared at the wooden floor between your feet. You barely noticed when the door opened and someone entered. "Lady Reila, what's wrong?" You looked up and saw Naruto standing in front of you. When he saw your tears he knelt down in front of you, "Are you alright?" You shrugged, "Truthfully, I'm not sure." He moved so he was sitting cross-legged in front of you. "You want to tell me about it?" he asked you. You looked up at him and watched him for a moment. You knew he would understand. "My brother is here. But he's now one of the ones who's against me. He, unh," you faltered for words, trying to figure out what to say from all of the things buzzing around in your head. "He's too devoted to Krystella, he wont listen to me. And he'll fight, and I'll fight. I'll defend this world to the death. And I know that I'm much stronger than him, and if it really came down to it, I'd, have to..." He reached out and put a hand on yours, "Things'll work out, Believe it! You're gonna make it, and he'll come around. Sometimes people just get confused." You look down again, "But there was so much darkness in him. He's always been so pure. So true. I don't know if I can save him," you whisper. "People change, and I'm here with you, and I'll help you. Believe it!" Suddenly someone else spoke, "Yeah, I'm here too, Reila." You looked up and saw Sakura and Sasuke in the door way. Sasuke looked at you and nodded in agreement. They both walked in and Sakura sat beside you, while Sasuke stood on the other side. "I guess we're all in agreement then," Kakashi said from the doorway. Lidelia had moved around so that her head stood above yours. You smile at everyone, not having expected this, "thanks everyone. It means a lot to me that you care. But I dont know if there's much you'll be able to do. This is a bit above this plain of existance." Kakashi squatted down in front of you, beside Naruto. "But the point is, we're here for you, even if we cant help, we believe in you, and will back you up, and be here for you always," he reached out and took your other hand. You pull your hands away and throw your arms around the three in front of you. Sasuke knelt down on one knee beside you and placed his hand on your back, the closest he was coming to the group hug thing. You thank them all and tell them it's gonna be alright, though you're still trying to convince yourself that it's gonna be alright. Tazuna stands, "Well, I need to get back down to the bridge." Kakashi nods and stands. "Yes, let's all go, shall we?" you ask, standing up. The rest agree, and you all head off towards the bridge, following the builder down. Sasuke and Sakura walked in front of you, on both sides of the old man. You walked a little behind them, beside Kakashi. "There's still more than you're telling," he said as you walked. You chuckle, "you're just not going to give up?" He grinned, "Nope." You laughed out loud this time, and a few people looked, but you just shook your head and stiffled your laughter. You suddenly sigh and shake your head, "Sometimes I wonder, if my light shines, shines strong enough for what I have to face. If I can beat what is coming my way. Am I pure enough to handle it?" Kakashi looked down at you, "The brightest light is invisible. It shines through your deeds, and warms the universe." You looked up at him suprised, "Where did you hear that?" He smiled, "Hokage." You laugh, "I'm the one who told that to him. Long ago when he was still a young lad." Kakashi chuckled, "Well, I guess I'm just returning your council then." You both stop talking as you notice Sasuke almost trying to pick a fight with a guy on the street, who evidentally touched Sakura wrong. "Sometimes that boy has no concept of logic. If that guy had, Sakura herself would have killed him. He doesn't believe she can do it." You chuckle, "Within the perfect architecture of thought, logic may often provide the structure--But from emotion comes the inspiration." Kakashi nodded and grinned at you, "you're just full of those little proverbs, arn't you?" You shrug, "Been around awhile, and I learn them from other Controllers." He nods, "yeah. I suppose you do." He watched Sasuke who was still glaring back at the guy. "You'd think he'd learn by now, to be wise enought to let Sakura handle her own fights." he said, obviously disappointed by Sasuke's inablity to accept Sakura's ability. "One head cannot contain all knowledge," you say, yet another proverb. "The Hokage isn't all that. He's still human," you remind Kakashi. He nods, "true, but he has lived long, and through a lot, oh," he suddenly stopped and looked at you, "Well, uh, never mind that." You smile, "he doesn't know the meaning of living long." He became rather solemn for a moment, "if you've lived so long, then why dont you get tired of it? i mean, havn't you ever wanted, to well, I mean..." You put a hand on his shoulder, letting him know you understood what he was trying to stay. "Do the thorns ever curb the desire for the rose?" you ask, looking up at him, your hand still resting on his shoulder. "No, I suppose not," he answers grinning. You pat his shoulder, and let your hand drop. A few people in the streets bow to you, but mostly you walk on unnoticed, since prior to this walk you'd had brown hair, it was now red. You found yourself slipping into a deep thought, hoping to find a way to talk your brother out of his decisions. Kakashi noticed and placed a hand on the small of your back, guiding you through the streets. You realized what he was doing after a while and snapped out of it. You smile a bit to yourself, and notice he doesn't remove his hand. Once you all arrive at the building site, Tazuna starts to complain about shoddy work and you move over to the side and sit down on the finished rail, staring out into the water. You knew what was coming, and you knew you could do nothing to stop it. But if another was helping them, then you could help. If. You hated that word. It always left a variable, that even you could not control. Kakashi wandered over beside you. "Reila, relax, please, you're getting me worried." You looked up at him and smiled, "I'm sorry, but there's just a lot going on. Things beyond this world. Things I know I'll have to deal with." You looked back out into the water and sighed, "and some things I don't want to have to face." You think back to when you met Dante. He was still young, just made the Controller of a dimension. He was having troubles with some of the Darks. You stepped in and helped him, and gave him some advice about fighting them. He hadn't belived he was able to do his job. You smiled at him and patted his shoulder, "Never doubt yourself, then others will never believe in you." He nodded and promised to do better. And he had, until he met your sister. You blink and notice Kakashi is sitting beside you, holding your hand. "I dont care what dimension or level it's on, you need to let someone in." You sigh and take a steadying breath, "In the silence, I saw death. I heard the cries, I felt the pain. I smelled fear, I knew the worst of everything. But now, now the silence no longer binds it all away. It haunts me, even in the loudest of places. It's unescapable." Kakashi listened quietly, and gently squeezed your hand when you finished, his right hand lifted ot your face and he turned your head to look at him. "I want to do what I can," he told you. You shake your head, "Not right now. Go join them, trust me," You motion over to the others. Sakura was watching you with a smirk, Sasuke was looking around, and taking in the construction. Tazuna had a blueprint in hand and was checking things, occasionly shaking his head. You sat where you were as he left to join the others, knowing you knew more than he did. You stayed in your spot, calmly watching when Zabuza and Haku returned. In the back of your mind was a growing feeling. Someone else had a hand in this. You smiled slightly to yourself, glad you could help a bit. "Sasuke! Sakura! Get ready!" You heard Kakashi shout. You watch them, noting that Haku looked over at you, but decided you weren't anything to worry about. You smile a little more at his ignorance of you. "I knew he was still alive, he just couldn't wait 'til round two!" You heard from Kakashi. You looked back out at the water, only turning back when Haku attacked and was blocked by Sasuke. (Lidelia, follow Naruto, but at a distance. Tell me if something seems Dark,) you 'path to her. She responds, (Alright, should I step in if there is?) You ponder, (No, just tell me if there is, and I'll be there.) She agrees and you turn your attention back to the others. "And hiding behind a mask, who does he think he's fooling?" Kakashi asks. You grin when Sasuke repeats him. (Wait a second! Didn't I just say that?) Kakashi thinks, (He'll never change.) You grin, (Maybe it's a good thing. He's strong willed. Let him be.) Kakashi blinks, but knows better than to look at you. You watch with interest when Sasuke and Haku go off again. "Sakura! Cover Tazuna and stay close to me. Let Sasuke handle this." You take this time to move over with Sakura, guarding Tazuna. There was a center of attention on him from the outside. (Whoever you are, back off. Or you'll regret it.) You warn on a wide broadcast that only your kind could hear. There was a dark chuckle in reply. You snapped back to the world around you when you heard Kakashi speak again. "Hand signs with a single hand!? I've never seen that before," he says shocked. You watch Haku and shrug, "You must realize, there's a lot you havn't seen before." He didn't seem to hear you, or chose to ignore that comment. You watched for something off. Reaching out and sensing everything you found a lot of power centered on Zabuza. You made eye contact with him and arched a brow. (You'll not receive help for long,) you tell him. His eyes widen then narrow at you, (That's what you think.) You grin slightly at his boldness. You find yourself sensing again, listening to the conversation barely. "You made a big mistake insulting these ninja and calling them brats, that's just guaranteed to bring out Sasuke's attitude. And he's the best young fighter of the Hidden Leaf Village. And Sakura here is our sharpest mind and last but not least, our number one hyperactive knucklehead ninja is Naruto Uzamaki!" You grin at his name for Naruto. It was perfectly believable. You focus your sensing back to Zabuza, and find a web of energy spun around him. It was obviously put there by a Dark. You follow the webbing back to the water. (Take care, I'll return shortly,) you tell Kakashi. (Alright,) he answers, not taking his eyes from the battle. You disappear, and reappear underwater. Floating there, reclining is one of Krystella's. A woman named Aneira. She looked at you suprised. "How?" You cut her off with a growl. "I think you've been lied to. Krystella thinks I'm weaker than I am, doesn't she?" Aneira backed away slightly, "You're on a wane! You're not supposed to be able to find me!" You laugh at her worried comment. "You have been lied to." You switch to your energy form, followed shortly by her. In a quick lash of energy you hit her, only wounding her. "Leave, now. Tell your mistress that she's going to have to work harder to beat me. The wane has ended." She disappears with a slight popping sound. The energy web fades away and you return to your human form. You sigh and disappear again, reappearing beside Kakashi as Haku slid into one of his mirrors. Kakashi growled slightly and moved forward. Zabuza stepped up, "If you enter this fight, you fight me. You boy has no chance against that jutsu. He's finished!" You looked up as Haku attacked Sasuke with his needles. (Can't you do something?) Kakashi asked you impatiently. (I've already done what I can. He must fight this. I stopped the one ofmy kind that had been helping them. Everything is as it is supposed to go,) you explain. Kakashi growled, and you sensed he wasn't happy about your reply. Zabuza looked at Kakashi as he stepped forward again. "You try to help him and I'll kill the other three in a heartbeat." You realized that Zabuza still didn't know who you were. (I cannot fight him, Kakashi. If I interefere past what is necessary, then it is then end of my life,) you tell him, (I'm as helpless as the old man right now.) Kakashi's mood darkened, and he didn't reply. You backed away slightly, rather hurt by his attitude towards you right now. You turn your attention back to the fight as Haku catches the knife thrown by Sasuke. You grin though, when Naruto's star catches Haku off guard. You hear the boy growl out, "The number one hyperactive knucklehead ninja." You sigh and shake your head when Naruto appears and introduces himself. (Shut up Naruto!) Sasuke thinks. You nod your head agreeing with him. You hear Kakashi thinking. (Eh...what and idiot! If he'd stayed hidden, he could hav been so much more effective!) You watch calmly as Zabuza throws his stars at Naruto, and Haku's needles stop them. Sakura spoke up, "Naruto, are you crazy?" You chuckle, "quite obviously." She nods at you in agreement. Naruto starts his jutsu and Kakashi stops him. "This is a battle! Not a talent show! Don't let your opponent see your jutsu. The shinobis art is deception, always keep the enemy guessing, even when performing a single jutsu! One must distract their opponents attention, catch them off balance, and out manuever them! You just turn yourself into a human target when you enter a battle like that!" Naruto freaks, "I'm sorry! i'm just trying to rescue everybody!" You shake your head, "The boys an idiot and a half!" Sakura nods, "Tell me about it." Lidelia settles down on your shoulder. "Well, obviously you see there was no trouble," she says. "Not there, here there was. Aneira," you tell her. She hisses. You here Kakashi say, "But there's another mystery here." You turn your attention back to the scene at hand. "Haku," Zabuza says, "what are you doing?" The boy speaks then, "Zabuza, this boy, let me fight him my own way, please." Zabuza glares slightly, "So you want me to leave this to you?" You grin at the conversation. (It's impossible! Naruto can't match this kid! I've got to...) You step forward after hearing Kakashi's thought. Zabuza beat you there and glared, "Don't even think about it. You know the score Kakashi. If you go after Haku, I go after the bridge builder, and the other two." Kakashi stops, (He's got me. I can't protect Tazuna and help Naruto and Sasuke at the same time. Sakura is fiesty, but she can't fight Zabuza alone, and...Reila...) You gasp slightly at his tone. He truly was not happy with you. There was almost a sense of hatred in him at your name. You could feel the anger almost pouring off of him. "Relax Kakashi, sit back and enjoy the show. Lets see how they do one on one." You shake your head and sigh. Great, more for you to deal with. "Sasuke! Naruto! Think! You need to attack outside and inside at the same time!" You glance out at the water, hoping for a bit of peace from it, not really concerned about the scene at hand. You knew it would turn out as it should now. You glance up in time to see Naruto inside the mirrors and roll your eyes. (Naruto! You sneak up on your enemy! Not your ally!) Kakashi thinks exasperatedly. (He's not the brightest. But he's driven,) you tell him, hoping to give him some sort of comfort, and to see just how angry he was at you. He completely ignored you, except for the slight glare in your direction. He turned back to the battle. (Naruto is building a solid reputation as the most clueless ninja in history! The more he helps, the worse things get.) Then he looks back at you again, (though, he is helping. That's more than some.) You realize that he doesn't know that you're picking up his thoughts. (You know, I can hear you,) you tell him, rather hurt. He doesn't say anything. You close your eyes and take a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Reila, are you alright?" Sakura asks. You smile over at her, "Yes, I'm fine." You say to her, adding a smile to your comment to try to convince her. Zabuza looks over at you, (Reila?) You grin at him, hearing his thought. "Yup," you say with a wink. "Ah! I knew it! It's a bloodline trait. Kekai Genkai," Kakashi exclaims. "Kekai Genkai? What is it?" Sakura asks him. "It's like my sharingan. You can't learn it. It has to be in your blood. In your genetic code, passed down from generation to generation within a single clan," he explains to her and everyone else listening. "Sounds bad," Lidelia comments. "But, that means..." Sakura trailed off. "Yes, even I can't copy that jutsu. There's no way to destroy it. No way to stop it," he tells her, (at least nothing any of us can do.) You know he added that comment for your sake. Lidelia hisses at him, (Doesn't he understand?) You shake your head slightly, (Obviously not. I just wish I could interfere. I hate it now. He hates me.) Lidelia spreads her wings slightly, (Then let me! I can!) You put a hand on her tail, holding her down, (No! You are under my rights. You'd die as well.) She hisses again, snapping her jaws at Zabuza. You stopped talking with her when you heard Sakura shout. "Sasuke! Naruto! Take him out! You can do it!" Kakashi hushed her, "Don't Sakura. Don't push them." You frowned, they were doing fine. Sakura was fine doing what she was, mostly because the guys were way to concentrated on what they were doing anyway. Sakura looked over at him, "Huh?" You were wondering what he was thinking as well. "Even if they somehow found a way to overcome the mirror jutsu they still couldn't defeat this ninja," he explained. "How can you be so sure?" Sakura asked him rather suprised. "Because he knows them well enough," you comment. "They have the desire to win but they dont have the instinct to kill. That boy is a whole other breed, he lives for pain. He thrives on it," Kakashi explained to her. Zabuza spoke up about how the village had become weak and complacent. "Good words Zabuza," came a voice from off to the side. You all turned to face it. "Darcia," you hissed, glaring at her. She looked at you and smirked, floating above the water. "So, you sent Aneira packing? Well, I'm not that little wimp who ran out of here with her tail between her legs." Your feet left the pavement and you flew out to meet her. "Did she happen to tell you, my wane is over?" You caught a slight glint of fear in her eyes, but it disappeared shortly. "What's it matter? You're still weak!" She growled. You chuckled, "Are you trying to convince yourself?" You were getting tired of these fights. They were annoying more than anything. "Look, you're a class 34, I'm class 1. The only class 1. Do you really think you can beat me? My own sister can't, and she's a class 2. How stupid are you?" You were now just egging her on. She glared and bared her teeth at you in a snarl. "We'll see who's stupid when you lose!" She charged at you, shifting to her energy form. You sighed and shifted. You waited until she was close, the same way you had taken out Crione. Your energy flared and she screamed. When your light faded you were the only one. You drifted back to the bridge, and touched down, shifting forms again. "Sorry, do continue," you waved them on. Those in the mirrors hadn't even noticed you. Zabuza blinked at you in shock still. Tazuna looked sick, and Sakura was smiling. Kakashi didn't looked phased at all, in fact he was still standing where he had before, watching you out of the corner of his eye. You heard him thinking again, (I could make a break to save Naruto and Sasuke. But he'd slay the bridge buider. If I used shadow clones...gah, he'd just match them with water clones. I'd be waisting chakra.) He chuckled to himself, (So, I have no choice. It's me or Zabuza here and now. I'll have to do this the hard way. Sakura watched him, (Sharingan!) Zabuza had his attention back on him again, "Sharingan, you're no fun Kakashi, using the same old trick." You looked out over the water, sensing another presence. "SENSEI! NO!" Sakura shouted. You spun around and saw Kakashi fending a knife off with his hand. "If it's just an old trick," Kakashi said. "Why did you just stop me?" Zabuza chuckled darkly, "let your opponent see your jutsu too many times, and he'll find a way to use it against you." You were getting awfully tired of his horrid chuckle. "Then count yourself lucky, you're the only man alive who's seen my sharingan twice. Show's over, there wont be a third time!" There went that horrid chuckle, "Even if you did defeat me, you'd have no chance against Haku." Sakura gasped, and you glanced over at the mirrors. "Is that possible?" You looked over at her as she spoke, "That boy in the mask, is stronger than Kakashi-sensei?" You nodded slightly. "When I found him, he was just a street kid, but I trained him in the most advanced ninja techniques..." As Zabuza went into a history of himself and the boy, you glanced back over the water, staring intently at one spot on the horizon. Dante. He was up to something. "Are you finished bragging? You're starting to put me to sleep!" You looked over as Kakashi spoke, "ditto." He ignored you, again, "Let's finish this, NOW!" Zabuza grinned, "fine, but there's one more thing you should know, a little more bragging as you say." You rolled your eyes, "Make it short, oh please make it short." You received a glare from Zabuza. "Huh?" Kakashi looked a little suprised. "Did you really think our last battle was win or lose? That I took your attacks like some rank genin?" You smiled, thinking how he was less than a genin to you. Zabuza continued, "Haku was there, hiding, watchin ever move you made and studying your sharingan. Haku can see a jutsu once, and immediately devise a lethal counter attack, it's one of his gifts" You rolled your eyes again, "oh my gawd, this guy is worse than an overly proud parent! Haku this, Haku that! Yeesh!" Zabuza glared again, "enough comments from your woman Kakashi!" He turned his attention back to Kakashi, "I've been waiting to see the look on your face when you realize your sharingan has become worthless. You once said the same jutsu wont work on me twice, well now I'm telling you that." Kakashi quirked his eyebrows, "huh?" Zabuza's hand went up, "Ninja art, Hidden Mist Jutsu!" He faded away in the mist as it grew stronger. You had the strange impression of being in Ireland. Kakashi braced himself, (this is it.) Tazuna looked around, "The visibility is zero." You glanced around as well, "This is worse than scuba diving way up north." Sakura glanced around uneasily, "Sensei?" Kakashi glanced back, "Sakura, stay with Tazuna." She ran over towards him, (I have to be strong and believe in Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi-sensei. And I have my job to do no matter what it takes!) Tazuna watched her approached, "Hm? Oh, Sakura." She crouched at the ready in front of him, "Follow my lead Mr. Tazuna and whatever happens, stay close!" He nodded, "Alright, I'll stay right behind you." Kakshi looked around, "It's the Hidden Mist Jutsu, but his mist is too thick, even for abuza. How can he fight in it? Hm?" He used his knife to deflect a barrage of stars. You looked over at the boys in the mirrors, (Confine that which you fear to the mirror. Start with who is standing there, then smile. Be brave, you two can do this, I know you can! Don't doubt yourself, or each other!) They nod, small smiles on their faces. "Very skillful," Zabuza says. "As I'd expect from Kakashi, the Sharingan Warrior!" Kakashi gasped slightly, (his eyes are closed!) Zabuza spoke again, "the next time you see me, will be the last time you see anything. Without your sharingan, you're nothing." You sigh, "gah, I'm getting so sick of the sound of his voice!" You almost wanted to get sick when Zabuza went into this long explaination of how he was going to beat Kakashi. "Just shut up already!" You said, rolling your eye again. (The mist is slowing my reaction time!) Kakashi thought, rather angrily. Zabuza yabbled on once again. "Brilliant, except with your eyes closed you cant see me either!" You turned your attention back to the horizion as Zabuza spoke again, Dante was up to something. You tried to reach out and find out, but you found yourself mucking through a pile of barriers. (DANTE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!) You shout frustratedly at him. He snickkers, (You'll find out Sis. Just relax.) You were about to reply when you heard Sakura scream, and your wrist, where Kakashi's star was, was suddenly pure white fire. You spun around, scared, and faced him, and screamed, "KAKASHI!"

Chapter Four! Battles Continue and The Bridge Home!

Even though it was breaking the rules a tad bit, you ran towards Kakashi. A black light flashed across your vision and you stopped. You were needed far from there. You wanted to stay, but you knew you had to go. Tears in your eyes, you turned your head, "I'm sorry Kakashi," you mutter and fade away. You appear again in front of your brother. "Dante, what are you doing?" you ask impatiently. He was leaned against a rock clif face. "Well sis, not much. But I suppose you wouldn't think that way, now would you?" He sneered at you, then shoved himself up on both feet. "So, what is it you want? Me to stop? Me to go Home. Atlantis is waiting for my return. The prodigal son, right?" You were shocked by his words, "Dante! What's wrong with you? Can't you hear what it is you're saying? You're forsaking your creator, your people!" He chuckled, "My people? Those weaklings are not My people. You're the only one worth while. You're stronger than the rest of us. But you let yourself be weak. Don't you. Hn," he paused his pacing and looked directly at you. "Strike me down, if that's what you want to do. Oh, wait, that's what you have to do. So here's your chance. Kill me! Just lash out the way you've done to many of our brethern! C'mon sis, you can do it. Just let loose a little of your power and kill me." He paused and watched you as you stood still, "Heh, that's what I thought. You can't. You're too sentimental, after all, I just might turn back, right? There could still be hope for me!" He mocked in a soft and sympathetic voice. "Sorry," his voice regained its harshness, "but it just ain't gonna happen. I like being strong, I like the way I am. I do what I want, when I want. I can hurt whoever I want, and save whoever I want. I can step in whenever I feel like it." You just shake your head sadly, "you've lost the whole point of our existance. We weren't meant to be that way. We were created-" He laughed, "we were created to sit back and watch things happen! We had no purpose! Now we have something to do!" You sigh, "What is it with people and purposes today?" You asked, thinking of Haku's speech to Naruto. Dante arched and eyebrow, but let the comment pass. "Well, whatever it is, I have something to take care of, sorry to cut our meeting short Sis. But I wont leave you alone." You look at him, suspiciously. He grinned and bowed to you with a fancy wave of his hand, and vanished. Where he stood was another. "Cordio," you snarl. "Hello my dear Reila," he taunted. He was a large man with black hair and dark eyes. His build was full and he was completely muscle. His rank was rather high, in the -teens somewhere. You glare at him, "I'm no longer yours, Cordio." You tell him, as you both start to circle. "Sure, you say that now," he shrugs slightly, still so full of himself. "You've changed, a few new marks," his eyes scan your body, and he sees the scars. "So that's what the Lady meant," he said. You glare at the mention of your sister. "She means nothing. And one day, will be nothing, by what grace is given me, and by my hand," you inform him. He glares, "Well, arn't we all high and mighty? I think your rank has gone to your head!" You snort, "Sure, sure. From you, that's rather hilarious. Everything goes to your head. The only thing it's full of it ego." He glared and crouched, you did the same. "Enough out of you!" He snarled and lept for you. You leap out of the way, as he changes courses mid-air. You grin and fade into your energy form. He glares once before following suit. He clashes with you first, using his energy in one blast directly into the center of your mass. You cry out, on a level that can't be heard by anyone on the planet. Falling back from his attack you regroup and lash out in tendrils of power. You hear him grunt and fight back, but you continue to lash out over and over, not relenting. He pulled back out of your range and regrouped. His energy was pure black. You braced yourself for another attack, and prepared yourself to attack. He sped forward to you, hitting you square on. You push back, overpowering him, and emgulfing him. He screams, and struggles, until he wears himself out and his screams die down, along with his life force. Darks were always given back their souls and spirits. They couldn't keep them in other beings. You drop down and return to your human form. your stomach was bleeding badly. You put your hand over it and close the wound, letting the blood remain. You didn't care. Standing up shakily you make your way back to the bridge, vanishing and appearing in your previous spot. Only moments after you returned, Naruto lost control. The Nine-tailed Fox peered out from the boy. (Could it be?) You heard Kakashi thinking, (the seal has been broken?) You looked over at him and sighed, he was alright. (No, it's beel loosened,) you say for him. (So, a glimmer of the Nine-tailed Fox's chakra has slipped through,) he agreed with you. (But the seal still holds. Good, then maybe we still have a chance! Just a chance.) He pulls out the scroll and draws the line down the middle in his own blood. (More than a chance.) But he was again ignoring you. "Zabuza!, I don't mean to spoil you fun, I know how you like to stretch these things out. But how about we put an end to this now? C'mon, what'd'ya say? We're both busy people." You grin at his enthusiasm, then glance back at Naruto until you hear Kakashi summon his jutsu. "Ninja Art: Summoning, Earth Style! Fangs Pursuit Jutsu!" You grin watching the hounds appear and latch onto Zabuza. "That dreadful noise! What can it be?" You hear Tazuna say. You glance over through the mist. "I don't know, and I'm not sure that I want to find out," Sakura tells him. You appear beside them, "Don't worry, it's just Kakashi's jutsu. They relaxed a bit and you smiled, "Stay with him, I'm returning to the battle." Sakura nods, "right!" You appear at your spot again, and listen in to Kakashi. "I realized, if I couldn't see you, I'd have to smell you out, that was a summoning jutsu. i was calling forth my ninja hounds. They can track a scent anywhere. When you attacked me, I let you get past my guard. I wanted you to cut me. You see, it's the smell of my blood on your blade that led them to you. Suprised? Looks like I wasn't the only one who was blind. Hn, falling into my trap. You disappoint me, Zabuza. Ah, the mist is finally clearing, and you know I see? Your death." You grinned, even though he wasn't looking. "Talk, Talk!" Zabuza said, "Do you mean to talk me to death?" You glare at him, "idiot." Kakashi grinned, "in a way, yes. Right now my hounds are just playing with you, but one word from me and they'll tear you apart. A word, Zabuza, see where your ambitions got you? You were always pushing things too far. There was the failed Mizukage assassination, and your attempt at Kudei Tah, you were forced to flee with the few followers you had. Your countries tracker ninja hot on your heels. You became a rouge ninja, whose name was quickly known, even in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Now you're crazy enough to want to try again. But for that, you need money. And to get it, you've stooped so low as to be the hired thug of a swine like Gato. Alright, Zabuza, enough talk, time to finish it! But it wont be with sharingan, imitations of some other ninja's tricks. No, it's time I introduced you to my own jutsu!" You watched as he completed a series of hand signs. "Lightning Blade!" You heard him shout. "I won't allow you to kill Tazuna, he's a brave man with a noble dream! The bridge he's building is the hope of this land and all it's people! you're like a disease, be attacking one you infect all, and you dont care, that is not the way of the shinobi!" Zabuza sneered, "you're right, i don't care!" You sigh as you listen to him ramble shortly. "But," Kakashi says, "to have a dream you need to have a future. You don't. Your future's all used up Zabuza!" You feel a wave of energy explode over the area and close your eyes against it. When you look up you see that Haku had put himself in the way of Kakashi's attack. "Za-bu-za.." you hear the boy gasp out. Kakashi looks shocked, "huh?" Zabuza laughed, "So, my future is all used up ? Wrong again Kakashi!" You were getting sick of the way he said Kakashi's name. "Huh? What?" You look over at Naruto, almost forgetting that they were there. "Where'd he go? The fogs lifting!" You roll your eyes, (good morning Naruto!) you think sarcastically. You pick up on Kakashi's thoughts again and look back. (The boy threw himself in front of my attack,) Kakashi sounds shocked. "He saved your worthless life at the cost of his own!" He snarled at Zabuza. You slid down until you were sitting on the bridge, leaning against the rail. You looked at your wrist and saw Sasuke's star flickering dimly. He was hurt badly, but you knew he survived. Best not let anyone else know, especially after Naruto's outburst, they'd find out on their own. "He'd hack righ tthrough the boy to take me down?" You hear Kakashi ask in suprise. Zabuza was charging them. You watch as Kakashi grabs the boys body and leaps out of the way. He tells Naruto to stay out of the battle. "This is my battle, Zabuza is mine," He tells him. You watch both as Kakashi and Zabuza fight, and Sakura leads Tazuna to Sasuke. You realized you hadn't noticed when Kakashi's hounds had disappeared. You sigh and look off in the distance, watching a small ship approach. "I'll split you in half!" Zabuza yells. You grin, "he is so full of talk." Kakashi then speaks, "Look at you, you're falling apart. I knew you didn't have what it takes for the long haul." You can feel the anger bristling off of Zabuza, "What did you say?" You roll your eyes, "is it really good to antagonize him? he's already losing." Zabuza shoots your a glare, "shut up, you're next!" Kakashi ignored your comment and spoke again to Zabuza, "You have no idea what real strength is." You laugh at Zabuza's threat and turn to look at Gato and the others who had arrived on the bridge now. "Well, well, so this is how it turns out?" You look back and see Kakashi using two kunai against Zabuza, getting his arm. "Now both of your arms are useless. You cant even make hand signs." Gato spoke up, "Did quite a job on you didn't he Zabuza? You look like yesterdays sashimi. I must say, I'm disappointed." You frown, "what a vile creature!" Gato glances at you, not quite realizing you were speaking of him, "yes, he is." You roll your eyes, "enough of these idiots!" Zabuza glares at Gato, "Gato, I don't understand..." You tone him out again. "Well," Gato says, and you cringe. (What a disgusting sound,) you think to yourself. "You see there's been a slight change in plan," the short fat man continues. (Yes it is,) came Kakashi's voice. "According to the new plan, you die right here on this bridge, Zabuza." (So now you're talking to me?) you ask him skeptically. (Yes, I realize you were right, forgive me?) he asks. You grin and nod, (how could I not?) "What?" Zabuza asks Gato, shocked. "That's right you're too expensive." You sigh as the man continues to talk, "...demonic as a wet kitten!" As he was yapping, you stood and walked over to Kakashi, standing beside him. Zabuza glances back over his shoulder at you both, "Well well Kakashi, it seems our fight is at an end. Since i'm no longer in Gato's employ, Tazuna is safe. We have no quarrel." You smile and nod. "Yeah, I suppose you're right," Kakashi agrees. You watch with a glare as Gato walks up to Haku's body. Naruto charges him, only to be stopped by Kakashi. You listen slightly to Zabuza and Naruto talking, "If you mean that you're an even bigger rat than I thought!" Kakashi puts his hand on Naruto's shoulder, "Okay, that's enough. Calm down Naruto. He's not the enemy, not now." You add quitely, "not ever." Only Kakashi heard you though. "SHUT UP! Far as I'm concerned he's enemy number one!" As Naruto continues to talk to Zabuza, trying to convince him he's wrong, you look down at Kakashi. "Ever?" he asks. You nod, "I know what will come of this day." He nods, "have we done enough?" You place a hand on his shoulder, "You will, you all will." You look back at Zabuza, seeing the tears on his face. "You talk to much!" he says, "your words cut deep. Deeper than any blade. While he fought you, his heart was breaking in two. He felt pain and sorrow, and now curse him! I feel them too!" You smile slightly, pleased at his words. "Boy, give me your kunai," Zabuza asks Naruto. Naruto sighs and tosses one up in the air, "here." You watch as the man catches the handle in his mouth, then charges the group of thugs. You crouch to the side of Kakashi, sitting almost in front of him. (Lidelia, stand beside the bridge, we can help them scare the wits out of these numbskulls.) She chuckles, (Alright, this should prove fun. May I flame?) You grin, (why, of course dear. How could I stop you?) She laughs and takes her place partly under the bridge, on the boat side, waiting. You look up as Naruto turns his head away when Zabuza falls. "Don't turn away. When you live like a warrior, this is how it ends." You nods, "this is the best we can hope for. To die for something that we care for, in our best." You turn your head, seeing Sasuke waking up. You smile a bit as Sakura bear hugs him. "ow! that hurts!" he complains slightly. You nod as Sakura fills him in on what she knows of the battle. You turn your head back after hearing the group of thugs threaten the village. (On my cue!) You tell Lidelia. (Not good!) Kakashi thinks, worriedly. Naruto turns to him, "C'mon Kakashi-sensei! You must have a jutsu that can take care of this bunch of losers!" Kakashi shakes his head, "Not right now. I've used too much of my chakra." You watch as the group charges, and a single arrow lands in front of them. You turn and smile broadly at the villagers, lead by the boy. "Inari!" You grin, "that boy is a lot like Naruto." Inari gives Naruto the thumbs up, "hero's usually show up at the last minute, y'know!" You chuckle. Naruto nods and makes a hand sign, "SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!" You watch as a bunch more Naruto's appear. (Alright, Lidelia, full size, and make that ship fly when they try to leave!) You feel here energy raise as her size increases to her natural size, her head clearing the bridge on her long, lithe neck. She ducked down, since the others were preoccupied by Naruto. "Hm...I might have just enough chakra left to help you out." You nod, "this I can help with." Kakashi made the same hand sign, "Shadow Clone Jutsu! Kakashi style!" You grin at the number of clones he created. Then you decide to help, large firey wings spreading from your back, almost acroos the width of the bridge, and Lidelia raises up over the bridge, her wings spread wide, and flame spewing from her open maw. "Okay, still want to fight?" Kakashi asked, in multiple voices, as each clone spoke. You laugh as the group of thugs race for their suspended boat. Once it splashed down, Lidelia followed it, her large wings causing waves that almost capsize it a few times. You relax, your wings folding over your back, the flames going out in small wisps of smoke. Kakashi walked up to Zabuza and you walk back to join Sasuke and Sakura by Tazuna. "Sounds like it's over," Zabuza mutters. "Yeah," Kakashi tells him. "Kakashi, I have a favor to ask," Zabuza tells him. "What is it?" Kakashi asks. "Take me to him. Before I go, I need to see him one last time," Zabuza said. Kakashi pulled his headband back down over his sharingan. "Sure," he says, bending down and pulling the spears out of the fallen man. He carries Zabuza too where Haku lay, as the snow started to fall. You looked up at it, watching the small white puffs fall around you. "H-he told me where he came from, i-it was always snowing. A-all the time," Naruto sniffled. You placed your hand on his shoulder comfortingly. "Of course, his spirit was as pure as the snow. You never know Zabuza, maybe you will join him there. Who's to say?" You hear Kakashi say, as he approaches. You helped Sakura and Kakashi remove the needles from Sasuke and Naruto. "You know, I could do this myself. It's just that I can't feel them, I mean, my hands," Sasuke tries to explain. "Of course, we understand that. You're not the only one who's ever been knocked out or partially paralyzed," you tell him, pulling out three needles at once. "There, that's the last of them," Kakashi says, standing up again. "I count nine," he says, holding them up. "And I have twelve," you say, adding yours to his pile. "Wow, twenty one needles!" Sakura grins, "eleven in Naruto!" She adds them to Kakashi's pile, the villagers are all chattering to themselves, and Naruto walks over to Inari. You grin as the two boys talk. Sakura turns to Tazuna, "Well, you shouldn't have any more troubles now Mr. Tazuna." You look at Kakashi, "shall we?" you ask, turning towards the bodies. "Right," he follows beside you. "No, I will," Lidelia says, landing beside them, "it's easier for me anyway. And you've both fought hard today." She takes the bodies in her talons carefully and you leap up onto her shoulders. "Kakashi? Are you coming?" you ask. He shakes his head, "I'll come with those three. They should be there too." You nod, "Alright, we'll go there," you point to a spot overlooking the village. He agrees and you brace yourself as Lidelia carefully, and a tad awkwardly leaps off the ground. Her large wings beat powerfully as she gains altitude. You arrive before the others, and she sets the bodies carefully down, and uses her talons to dig out graves for them. "Shouldn't their tracker ninja..?" You shake your head, "no, I'll seal the graves. No one will ever bother them." She nods and places the bodies in their resting spots. You take their swords for gravemarkers. Sakura arrived first, followed closely by the others. She held in each hand a flower wreathe. Lidelia covered the bodies, and Kakashi placed the swords in the ground. You prayed quitely, ending as Kakashi spoke. You stood and brushed your legs off. "Shinobi are all mearly tools in the hands of destiny. No point in wondering weither it's right or wrong. It's the same in the Village Hidden in the Leaves." You nod, "It's the same of any type of fighter. Anyone who dares to be strong." Sasuke speaks up, "What is the reason for that?" Kakashi sighed, "Well, it's a question without an answer, and that is something we ninja have to deal with every day of our lives, like Zabuza and the kid." You grin when Naruto promises to follow his own way. Kakashi chuckles, and places his arm around you, "we should head in. We'll be leaving when the bridge is finished." You nod, "Go on, there's one more thing I want to do." You turn to the graves as Kakashi sends the others on. Lidelia lands on your shoulder in her smaller form. "Now?" she asks. "Now," you tell her. Closing your eyes and placing both hands on each grave, "Gurth Vanwa!" As the words escape you, the air ripples and the ground beneath your hands shines. When you pull your hands away, there is a solid cover over them. "What is that?" Kakashi asked as you joined him. "It's a substance that no one will ever be able to break through. Not even I." He nods, "they deserve that much." You lean your head on his shoulder as Lidelia takes off, saying something about not leaving the kids alone. "They do. C'mon, lets get back. I can tell you're exhausted," you say, grinning up at him. He nods, "I am." The walk back was quiet and relaxing, though you were both glad to be back to the house. You checked on the three young ninja, then walked into Kakashi's room, "You alright?" He looks up at you, "yeah, but I think that it might have gotten infected." He puts his hand over the cut on his chest. "Let me see," you instruct him. He takes his vest and shirt off reluctantly, leaving his left shoulder and arm covered. "I already know," you say, waving a hand at it absently. He sighs and lets it fall. "Is there anything you don't know?" he asks sarcastically. You grin up at him, "If it's not important to fate, then I don't know it. With a few exceptions." He laughs, and you look back at the wound, "It is." Placing your hand on it, you clean it out, and heal it. "There you are," you grin mockingly, "all better, and no need for a band-aid." He laughs and swats at you as you stand. You step out of the way gracefully. "Fine, fine, now what are you going to do?" He asks with a smirk. "I may just knock you out, or you may never sleep!" He chuckles, "Alright I'll sleep." He pulls his shirt and vest back on. You nod, and lean against the wall again, closing your eyes. "No." You look up when you hear his voice. "Come here," he holds the blanket up for you. You crawl over and lay beside him, cuddling up to him. He grins and lays the blanket over the two of you. "Silly girl," he mutters sleepily. You grin slightly, "yup." You lay your head back down on his chest, and fall asleep. A few weeks passed, and life was quite, except for two more battles for you. But mostly you wandered around the village while the ninja stayed at the bridge. On the night before you left, you settled down again, beside Kakashi. "Well, this was an interesting trip, no doubt," You tell him, yawning, and curling up against him. "It was. But a good one. They learned a lot," he said, pulling the blanket over the two of you. "Not only them," you say, leaning up and giving him a kiss. "You're right," he says, pulling you close to him, "we all learned a lot." Lidelia glided in and settled up beside your heads, and the three of you fell asleep. "KAKASHI-SENSEI!" was the next thing the two of you heard. You groan and bury your head against his chest, pulling the covers over your head. He chuckled, and looked down at you. "Come on, time to get up," he said with a yawn. You shake your head, "not for me!" He pokes your side, "yes it is." You jump, "hey! None of that!" He grins mischeviously, "ticklish eh?" You scurry away, "uh, no..." He chuckles, "sure you're not." You look around, "uh...well, we gotta get up, gotta get going!" You leap up and to the door. "Ch, now you want to get up." He rolls his eyes, "women!" You laugh and step out, almost knocking Sakura over. "Whoops! Sorry Reila. Is Kakashi up?" she asks you. You nod, "yes. And his chest wound is healed up as well. It was slightly infected." She looks worried, "Is he alright?" You look schocked, dramatically, "are you trying to say I don't take care of people well enough?" She shook her head, "you know what I mean Reila!" You laugh, "I do. Now, c'mon, we're heading home today." She nods, "yeah, the boys are already up. And making pigs of themselves over breakfast." You chuckle, "alright, well, lets go get on mess control." She grins, "alright." You both head downstairs to the dining room/kitchen. Inari, Naruto, and Sasuke were stuffing their faces almost as fast as the food appeared on the table. "BOYS! Enough!" You shout. Naruto and Inari jump and yell. Sasuke sets his spoon down hard on the table, jumping slightly. "You two are an embarassment the Village Hidden in the Leaves! Inari, you're the host, you should show some manners!" They all nod, "yes M'Lady." Sakura covers her mouth trying to retain a fit of giggles. You sit down beside Tazuna, and Sakura beside you. After a quite breakfast, Tazuna thanking you for your help, you all made your way out to the bridge. "We could never have finished the bridge without you. I can't tell you how much we're going to miss you," Tazuna tells you all as you stand separate from the village. "We'll miss you all as well," you tell him. "Do be careful!" His daughter chimes in. "We will!" Sakura tells her. "Thank you for everthing," Kakashi says. You smile as Naruto and Inari say their farewells. "Boys, it's never goodbye, only until next time." They nod, but still cry. (Boys can be so pathetic!) Sakura thinks. You nods, (yes, and it doesn't change as they get older. We women just learn to deal with them.) She giggled slightly, and everyone looked at her, so you laughed too. "Well, you know I'm right," you tell her. She nods, "yeah, you are." She turned her attention to Sasuke then, "Hey?" Naruto answered, "Yeah?" Sakura glared, "not you Naruto! Sasuke, when we get back, you wanna go out and do something together?" He looked over at her, "Uh, I don't think so, thanks." Sakura looked crestfallen, "oh...okay..." You grin, (You'll learn one day. It's hard to ask boys stuff, especially when they have an image to uphold in front of people.) She thinks for a second, (ask him when he's alone, you mean?) You give her a conspiratorial wink, (exactly!) Kakashi slides his arm across the small of your back, (what are you two up to?) You shrug, (nothing important to the great Copy Ninja Kakashi.) He shrugs his shoulder, bumping you, (you two are dangerous together, you know that?) You grin, watching Naruto trying to egg on Sasuke into a fight, (us two?) you ask. "Alright you two! Cut it out," Kakashi sighs. "Will they ever learn to fight the enemies, and not themselves?" he asks hopelessly. You grin, "Would you want them too?" He sighs, "I suppose not." You nod, "My money's on Naruto on this one." Sakura laughed.

Chapter Five! Home Again and Jealous Friends!

It had been three days since you had gotten home. You had had another battle, a long one, taking up two of the days. You returned home late on the third day, and crawled into your bed. "Hard battle?" came the soft question. You nod and roll over to face Kakashi. He was sitting on the bed beside you. "It was. Mariana was Rank Nine," you tell him. He climbed onto the bed beside you completely and pulled you into his arms, "you sleep now. We'll meet the group in the morning." You barely had time to nod your head before dropping off into sleep. You wake up and snuggle against Kakashi's chest. "Good morning," he says, stroking your hair softly, "sleep well?" You sigh contently, "yes, I did. Did you?" He embraced you tighter, "of course." You yawn, "we should go meet up with the team. You're already your usual late." Kakashi laughed, "I have a usual now?" You chuckle, "of course." You sit up and kiss his cheek, "now, off with you. I'll join you in a bit." He nods, "alright. I probably shouldn't make them wait for you too." You grin, "They wont need to, now go!" He smiles and gives you another hug before leaving. Lidelia lands on your shoulder, "aww, such a cute couple." You growl and swat at her. "Now now! I know you're not a morning person, but sheesh!" She leaps off your shoulder and out the door. You shake your head and yawn again, going for the coffee pot in the kitchen. After a pot of coffee, you appear beside the students, "Kakashi here yet?" Sakura shakes her head, "no, not yet." You grin, as Naruto and Sasuke glare at each other. "Hey guys, good morning! Sorry I'm late, 'fraid I got lost on the path of life," Kakashi says with a shrug as he appears on one of the archways. "WHAT!?" Sakura and Naruto chime. You chuckle and shake your head, "sure, life." You grin as Naruto talks to Kakashi, fired up as usual, "I'm ready for the next ninja mission Sensei! And hey, c'mon, no more of this dumb beginners stuff okay? I want a chance to prove myself! I'm talking a real mission, where I can show what I'm made of! I gotta break out and burn it up!? See!?" Kakashi put his hands up passive-defensively in front of him, "Uh...right, I get it, that's great Naruto. Now, take it easy will you?" You bit your lip to keep back a barrage of laughter at the boy. "Let up know when you're done fantasizing so we can start the mission...alright?" Kakashi asked the boy. Naruto nodded, "Right." You step forward, "anything of interest on today agenda?" You asked Kakashi as everyone started to walk together. He shrugged, "Not really." You nod and look back at Naruto and Sasuke, who are glaring at each other again. "Two year olds! I tell you, they are as bad as two year olds!" Sakura exclaimed with a sigh. You chuckle, "all men are, quite often actually." You were suprised by the perfect timing, because when you turned to looke back, Kakashi was chuckling and blushing, holding his book. "Quite often," you repeat flatly. Sakura laughed, "what a joy to look forward to." You nod, "No kidding." Kakashi looked up and saw you and Sakura looking at him disapprovingly, "did I miss something?" He asked innocently. "Oh no, nothing, except maturity," you respond, then turn to Sakura, "c'mon." You both run forward, laughing. The boys watch you in suprise. "What's up with them?" Naruto asked. Kakashi shrugged, "it's best to stay away from the mind of a woman." You follow the group around while they take care of genin missions. You watch in disbelief as Naruto destroys a garden in a vain attempt to out-weed Sasuke. You sat beside Kakashi as he read his book. "Do you always have that with you?" you ask him, disapproving the book completely. He shrugged, "Yes, normally. It's nice to have for times like this, when there's little else to do." You nod, "oh, okay." You didn't really mean it, but you just turned around and let him read. He shrugged and went back to his book. You lept down from the tree branch he was sitting on and told the students you were going off for a while. You return later, after wandering around for a while, in the woods outside the city. Naruto had attempted to attack Sasuke and Sakura had stopped him. Kakashi sighed, "guess we're not making a lot of progress on the team work thing, huh?" You grin and watch them, noticing Kakashi had his nose in the book again. "Alright guys, let's call it a day, you can beat each other to a pulp some other time. Anyway, I have to file me report on this mission." You didn't see what they had to file about, these were just simple little tasks, that back home would have been taken care of by the younger ones automatically. It was part of their job. You shake your head, life was so different in every different place. You walk over to Kakashi and link arms with him before he disappears, taking you with him. You wander into the office with him, and smile at Iruka. "Alright, thanks for the report Kakashi-sensei, Lady Reila. How's Naruto doing? Is he getting along okay with the other students?" You smile at his concern. "Hm? Well, uh. little by little," Kakashi answered the chunin. "It's been so busy around here, I havn't seen him since he got back from the mission to the land of waves, I'm a little worried about him." Kakashi shrugged, and you could feel his defensiveness slightly, "Eh, you know Sasuke is also in out group, Naruto sees him as a rival, which puts a constant strain on the group, but it also pushes Naruto to excel. So he's making amazing progress, someday his skills may be so strong they'll match the person he respects most in the world. You." You were glad to hear the compliment, knowing quite well that Kakashi was a little defensive of his position as the groups teacher. "You don't say, heheh..." Iruka grinned. You stood behind the ninja when the Hokage called them together. "I've summoned you for a very important purpose, seeing your fellow jonin here, I'm sure you realize what this is about." Kakashi spoke, "So soon? I thought we'd have a little more time." Another jonin spoke, "when do we start?" The Hokage answered, "We will begin in one week." Kakashi raised his eyebrows, "That's pretty short notice." The Hokage didn't seem to notice the comment, "Take heed, exactly seven days from today, on the first day of July, the genin will be gathered and tested, only the very best will be selected as chunin." You smile, "how interesting." A few of the jonin you didn't know looked at you, rather unimpressed by your presense. The Hokage noticed, "Lady Reila, will you be attending during the exams?" You looked up at him, "Oh, absolutely. I wouldn't miss them!" You smile at him, noticing the jonin realizing who you were. "That's wonderful, M'lady," the Hokage said, taking a puff of his pipe. Then the Hokage called forawrd the team leaders ofthe genin. Kakashi and two others stepped forward. You watch them, then look back at Iruka, noticing that he seemed a little tense. "Kakashi, you begin," the Hokage says. Kakashi raised his hand, two fingers up, "I lead squad seven, Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzamaki, and Sakura Haruno. I Kakashi Hatake, recommend all three of theses genin for the chunin selection exams." The other two teachers also said the same, recommending all nine genin. "Hold on! Just a minute!" Iruka stepped forward. "Yes, what is it Iruka?" Hokage asked, slightly exasperatedly. "Lord Hokage, with all respect, the nine names that were just given were all my students at the academy. I know their skills and abilities! Every one of them has great promise, but it's too soon, they need more experience before they are tested! If they try now, they're sure to fail the exam!" You grin, knowing he was wrong. "I when I became a chunin," Kakashi says, "I was six years younger than Naruto is now." That pissed Iruka off, "Naruto is nothing like you! Are you trying to destroy him!?" Kakashi shrugged slightly, "Well, they're always complaining about not being challenged enough. Maybe wiping out on the exams will teach them a lesson. A little pain is good." Iruka looked shocked, "wh-what did you say!?" Kakashi shrugged again, "oh nothing fatal of course. But seriously Iruka, relax. Listen, I understand how you feel, it's very personal for you, and it upsets you but-" he was cut off by Kuronai. "Alright Kakashi," she said, "back off, you've said enough." Kakashi shook his head, "on the contrary Kuronai, Iruka needs to hear this. He needs to realize they're not his studends anymore. They're mine!" Iruka looked angrier still, "But these exams could destroy them! You know that!" The Hokage cut in finally, "Iruka! You've made your point. I understand. Accordingly, I have decided the best thing to do is to hold a special preliminary test." Iruka backed off suprised, "pre-preliminary test?" You nodded, "yeah, ya know, the thing before the real test. I really think you should be in charge of that Iruka. To prove to you, that these genin have come far. You won't believe it unless you do it yourself." Iruka looked at you a little sheepishly, "I suppose you're right. Kakashi, will you allow me to test your students?" Kakashi growled slightly, and you elbowed him. He sighed, "fine, yes you may." The other teachers nodded, allowing him to test theirs as well. As the ninja began to leave, Kakashi faced you, "that was a dirty trick you played. You know I'm not happy about it." You shrug as he puts his arms around your waist, "I know you arn't. But you know it will work out. It's the best thing." You both turn as you hear a chuckle, "Well, I see you two have hit it off." You blush and Kakashi grins, "So we have, Lord Hokage." Kakashi held you close, "C'mon, let's get to the students, what'd'ya say?" You look up at him, "You'll be on time for once!" He laughs, "well then, how about a stop for breakfast?" You grin, "alright!" And you both disappear, reappearing in town. "There's a small place over here, wonderful food," he tells you as you walk along. You nod, "I know, remember, that's where you first saw me when I came to this village." He laughed, "you're right. I forgot about that." Leaning your head against his shoulder you smile, "I havn't." He quiets suddenly and wraps his arms around you, holding you close as you walk. When you get to your destination, the small bakery and coffee shop. "Not too many of the ninja villages have places like this, you know. We're lucky," Kakashi tells you as you wait for your drinks. "Or pampered," you reply. He grins, "only when I'm with you." You smirk slightly, "sure, say that now." Your drinks arrive and you both sit down on a bench outside. You lean against his chest as you both eat and drink, chatting a bit. "I think that they've all grown, and will do great," Kakashi says. You can feel he's slightly unsure of that, so you add, "I know they will. Each has their own strengths." He looks down at you, "is that a promise? That they'll all pass?" You shake your head, "no, that's something I can't give you. Something I can't reveal." Lidelia showed up just then, "You're assisting in his tardiness now?" You grin and shrug, "I can't help it! His fault!" Kakashi laughs and mocks being hurt, "well, if that's how you feel." You grin and kiss his cheek, "you know how I feel." He smiled and slid his arms around you again, "you're right, I do." You stand up, "she's right though, time to go." Kakashi stood beside you and grabbed your hand, and you poof-ed away again. You appeared on top of the bridge archway, Kakashi's hand on your back to stablize you. You grin as he pulls his typical lost on the path of life routine. "YOU LIAR!" Naruto and Sakura shout. You laugh, dangling your legs down as Kakashi lept from the archway. He raised his hand, index finger up, "I know this is a bit sudden, but I recommended you for the chunin exams. All three of you. These are the application forms." He handed forward three papers. "Application forms?" Sakura asked, looking at them. You lept down as she spoke. "You're repeating me Sakura," Kakashi told her. You roll your eyes, (oh chill, so she is. Men never change!) He looked at you, (Nor do women.) You smirk, (Would you want us to?) He chuckled, (I suppose not.) Naruto rolled his eyes, "Oh great, they're talking in their heads again!" Kakashi looked back at them all, "ah-hem, This is all voluntary, it's up to each of you. If you don't feel ready you can wait 'til next year." Naruto snatched his form, "Alright!" He lunged at Kakashi, throwing his arms around his neck, spinning the poor man around. "Kakashi-sensei you rock!" He shouts over Kakashi plaintive remarks. "uh...no..hey...Don't slobber on my vest!" the jonin says. You giggle, "besides, that's my spot!" Naruto blushed, "Heh.." Kakashi brushed himself off, "Whoever wants to take the exams, sigh the application and come to room 301 at the academy. It's at three pm, five days from now. That's it." Then you all walk from the bridge, off to train. "Kakashi, I have to go, I'll be back, soon...I hope," you say, staring off in the distance. Kakashi stopped walking and turned you to face him, "another?" You nod, "yeah, trouble. I may be a while." He pulls you close, "be careful." You nod, "I will." Leaning down with his back to his students, he quickly pulled both masks down and gave you a quick kiss. You smile and fade away. The next thing you see of the world is a young man sneering at you. You sigh and growl, "alright, let's get this over with." He chuckles, "aww, no fun! C'mon ya old lady-" you cut him off with a power blast, destroying him where he stood. "I'M NOT AN OLD LADY!" You growl to no one in particular. "I know. But he was young," came Dante's voice. You turn to face him, "hello, brother." He smiles, "You know, you really should listen to me. I mean it. You're going to give into the reality of things sooner or later. Reality, a real clear thing from here." You sigh, "Once you give into the void, many are the mouths of reality." He glared darkly, "don't use your stupid little proverbs here. They do nothing but annoy." You look away, "then it is true. You are no longer the Dante I knew." He scoffed, "and you are no longer the Reila I knew." He rose off the ground, and switched to his energy form, "you might say reality is the result of complex negotiations between the observer and the observed. But that is simply a point of view," he said as he faded. You frown, "so now he's repeating my proverbs to me?" You sigh annoyed, and switch to your energy form as four Darks came rushing at you. There was a short stand off, only lasting a day. You finally broke free, destroying them all, and returned to the village. Your house was dark, and you knew Lidelia would be asleep. Walking past, you noticed a light in Kakashi's window. You rose in the air and peered in the window, "Kakashi! Kakashi are you awake?" There was a slight shuffle, and the curtain pulled back. "Oh, there you are. I was beginning to wonder when you would be getting back. Come in, come in!" he stood back so you could come through the window. You land inside and look around, "tidy." He shrugs, "yeah, I suppose." He walks up behind you and slides his arms around your waist. "You look tired, was the fight hard?" he asked. You shrugged, "Long, but mostly evenly matched, strength wise. Did I mention there were four of them?" He chuckles, "sometimes you're as stubborn and determined as the genin. You should go to bed." Without giving you a choice, he bent down and scooped you up, and dropped you onto his bed. "Kakashi!" you giggle, and grin up at him, "thanks for the warning!" He laughs, "scoot." You move over, giving him room as he turned out the light and lay beside you, pulling you close. "Now, go to sleep, you look awful," he told you. You growl at him. "You know what I mean," he adds on, "now, Sleep!" you stretch up and kiss his chin then lay your head down on his chest and close your eyes.
You opened them the next morning to the smell of hotcakes and eggs. Sitting up you sniff the air and smile. Kakashi looked over at you, "ah good. Hungry?" You stand up, "starving!" He grins and sets a place for you, filling your plate, "here we are." You sat across from him and smiled, "wow." He arched an eyebrow, "wow? Suprised I can cook?" You shake your head, "oh no, I mean, it's just all so perfect." He grins, "only for you." You smile and dig in. Once you both finished eating, and you cleared the dishes away, with protest from Kakashi, whom you stuck to his chair, to keep him from stopping you. "This isn't fair, you know," he complained from his seat. "Who's to say what's fair?" you ask, drying your hands as you finished. He chuckled and stood up, "whoa.." You grin, "of course, I'd have to let you up sooner or later." He laughed, "M'lady, to settle an old score, would you accompany me to greet an old rival of mine?" You looked at him for a moment, reading him. "Okay, you want me to come with you so you can show me off to this guy, and get him all fired up because a long time ago, he got the girl that the two of you were fighting over?" you ask him. He laughs nervously, "well uh.." You grin, "Sure, sounds fun." You wave your hand and clean fresh, rather fancy clothes appear on you. He grins, "you're theatrical. Way too theatrical sometimes." You look up at him with puppy dog eyes, "this time?" He smiles, "no, not this time." You grin and throw your arms around his neck. He laughs and spins you around, "c'mon, M'lady." Lidelia met you outside, "I read it, sounds like fun, I'm in." You noticed she'd bathed and scrubbed her scales til they shone. "So, where is your old pal?" You ask, walking with your arms around each other. "At the guest cabins," Kakashi tells you. You smile, "fun." You make your way quickly over to the cabins, and Kakashi approached one. "Here we are, Gai is gonna love you," he tells you, facing you with a grin. You smirk, "isn't that the point?" He nods and chuckles, "you're right." He turns and knocks on the door. The door opens and a black-haired man stands there. "Ah, Kakashi. How, good, too see you again," the guys voice annoyed you slightly, mostly because of his over dramatization. You step up beside Kakashi, and wait quietly. "Ah, Lady Reila, what a pleasure to have you over, come in, come in," the man bows and you nod. Kakashi slips his hand on yours and leads you in. "Pleasant," you comment of the room. "Reila, dear, this is my old friend Gai," Kakashi said, placing his hand on the small of your back. "Gai, I don't know if you've met Reila." Gai bows, noticing Kakashi's hand, "M'lady, I have not had the pleasure of making your aquaintance, it's certainly and honor to meet you." He took your hand and kissed the back of it. You smile and nod your head. Kakashi grins, "Well, I had been just talking a little about old times this morning, and your name came up. I thought it would be nice to introduce Reila to some of my past. She is after all so much of my future." Kakashi faced you as he said this, smiling softly. You smile up at him as well, "of course." Gai's jaw dropped, "well that's certainly, ah, wonderful for you." You smile and thank him, "Kakashi, shouldn't we be getting back to your students now? You're going to be late." Kakashi nodded, "you're right again, love. Well it was great coming by, Gai. Hope to see you around." You nod in farewell and allow Kakashi to lead you out. Once you made it down the street and around a corner you both burst out laughing. "Oh my word, I really thought my head would burst! He was practically oozing jealousy! He knew exactly why you were doing it too!" You lean against him while you laugh. He was leaned back against the wall, "yeah, I just loved his face! He was shocked like no other!" You both laugh for a bit, until you get it out of your system. Kakashi pulls you against him, leaning his head against yours. "I meant it, you know. What I said back there. I really do want you to be part of my future. Our future." You smile up at him, "I couldn't imagine it any other way." He leaned down and kissed you, pulling his mask on quickly afterwards. You smile, "now, you really are going to be late." He shrugged, "Like that's ever been a problem." You grin, "you're pathetic." He pulled a mock-hurt face. You grin and hugged him, "but I love you more because of it." He laughed and held you close, and you disappeared. You opened your eyes again to the students. "Not as late today, at least," Sakura commented. You grin and hop onto the side rail of the bridge, walking along it with your arms out to the sides. "Well, today is really for you all to train on whatever it is you feel you need the most work in." You randomly complete a flip and keep walking, rather bored. You realize that Naruto and Sasuke have left already, Sakura stayed. "Yes Sakura?" Kakashi asked. She had her hand by her face, "Uhm..." She turned to face you and you stopped and squatted down to her level, "Hm?" She walked over to you, "Reila, would you train with me today? Please?" You smile, "Sure. C'mon, we'll have a girls training day, hm?" She grinned, "Thanks!" You wink at Kakashi, (I'll join you later.) He smiles, (alright. Lunch at my place?) You nod. "Okay, Sakura, lets go," you say, hopping down off the railing and walking towards the woods. She followed along after you, while behind you Naruto and Sasuke were at it again. "So, what is it you need to work on?" you ask once you get to the woods, "where do you feel you need the most help." Sakura looked down, embarassed, "the physical aspect of training. I can think, and focus my chakra just fine, but I can't fight, not as good as Sasuke and Naruto." You smile, "alright, we'll start easy, you stay here, and I'll attack. I'll start out easy, and then build up, alright?" She nodded, "right!" You jump back into the trees behind you and circle at a speed she couldn't see. You spent the next few hours doing this until you overcame her. You smile, holding the kunai at her throat, "you really did well. Better than I expected. I underestimated you, forgive me." She shrugs, "nothing to forgive, I'm still not as good as I want to be though. You beat me so easily." You laughed, "Sakura, little one, I could beat every single thing that lives in this world. That's one of the perks of my being. But you really did amazingly good. Much further than I would have thought, and truthfully, I dont think the boys would have gotten as far. You had to think through a few things out there, that Naruto definately wouldn't have, and Sasuke, well he might have, but he's pretty headstrong as well." She smiled, "thank you, Reila-sensei." You pause and smile at the title. "You're welcome," you giver her a hand up, "now, it's lunch time, and I have an appointment for lunch." She smirked teasingly, "with Kakashi-sensei." You laugh, "you are a little nosey flower!" You walk back to the village with your arm over her shoulder maternally. She laughed a lot, rather eased up since she did so well. She left and went back home for lunch and you arrived at Kakashi's. You first knocked on the door, then opened up, "hello? Kakashi?" He was laying across his bed, asleep, and a meal was sitting on the table, still steaming. You laugh to yourself and walk in. Shutting the door, you saunter over to the bed and sit down beside him. "Hm..?" He yawns and looks over at you, "oh! Reila, I'm sorry, I fell asleep. Those boys are just exhausting. I broke up three fights in town. Started knocking down fences." You chuckle and lay down beside him, "ah now, they're doing well. Especially Sakura. She did much better than I thought she would. She really suprised me." He pulled you into his arms, "Really? Is she doing that much better?" You nod, "Yes, she is. You shouldn't look past her so much. She does quite well." He nodded, "I suppose you're right." You smile and cuddle close to him, and he nuzzles against your neck. It took hours before you got to the meal on the table, which of course, you never let get cold.
