Okay, so this isn't for actual ghost stories, this is for posting links to your favourite fanfictions! 3nodding (Of course if you want a ghost stories thread, one can always be made).
A few rules:
Lets try to keep things under an "M" rating. Gaia TOS and all. . .
Unless enough people want it, no Wincest. It personally doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, but some people are squicked by it.
Link to the story, and be sure to credit the author.

Nice one!
I'm still laughing at your sig!
Why do Americans say Happy Holidays? It really pees me off - it's Christmas! Don't be scared to say the word, it doesnt mean anything anymore, its a commercial holiday with a non-religous "deity" as its figurehead. Christmas today has nothing to do with stars and stables and Jesus, it's about little brats wanting and getting. So say Christmas. And if someone gets offended, I dont give a damn.
Anyways, loook forward to the fanfics

whee I got distracted and never did get them up. *will try to get at least one link today*
*laughs* I say Happy Holidays, because while it's not so religious anymore, it's not the only holiday around this time of year. I'm not Catholic/Christian, I'm actually Pagan, so I celebrate Yule, but still do the whole Christmas thing 'cause that's what the family does (and I'm greedy and like free stuff).
That and Happy Holidays is easier to write out than my more typical "Merry Chrisyulhanukwanzadan". wink
And I'm Canadian. . . ninja

Shops put up their prices, and people get all hostile waiting in queues and rushing to get 'great buys'. The UK spent £4 billion yesterday in the shops. And I'm Wiccan lol biggrin

Right, so I've finally gotten to posting up some stories! Go me. ^^
Anyhoo, you'll find that the vast majority of the ones I recommend will have what we in the fandom affectionately call "Limp!Sam". This means basically hurt, hunted, vision, emo Sam. Which directly translates into OverprotectiveBigBrother!Dean.
So, without further adieu:
"Love is More Than Skin Deep" by KaitlynRose72: A tag to the end of Skin, dealing with the psychological after effects of Sam being attacked by the Shapshifter.
I'm also going to go ahead and just link y'all to KaitlynRose72's profile 'cause she's got a tonne of great Supernatural fanfiction.

In honour of the New Year!
^^ I just found this one this morning actually and it made me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Peace Be With You by Kender Rock My World: Don't let the name fool you, it's really not churchy at all. As the summary on the site says: "The Winchesters don’t celebrate holidays, though Sam’s always wanted to. It’s just not something they do. But tonight, 22 years late, Dean has finally begun to wonder why."

Just read this one again. I read it a long time ago and it's always just put me in a good, relaxed mood.
Written in Dreams by Maygra
Having difficulty sleeping, as usual, Sam takes to writing his thoughts down in a notebook.
That's a pretty bland summary on my part, but it's a very endearing story. Maygra is an awesome character author. She's got three stories including this one and they all do a great job of digging beneath the surface of our boys, getting into their heads a little. There's no hunting or anything like that in this story, just brotherly interaction. A highly recommended read.

Here she is! This is my own story ^^; And actually it's the first fic I've written in about, oh... 6 years. It's un-beta'd too...so yeah. Lots of mistakes I'm sure. I tried to fix what I could find.
Gimme Shelter by Me!
Summary: After the events in "Playthings" Sam is rundown and ends up coming down with a cold. Dean does what he can to help.
Spoilers!! for pretty much all of Season 2. I tried to keep it pretty general, but some squeaked through.
