Okay. I like to consider myself to be imaginative. But every time I try to push my thoughts out, it doesn't work so well. I try this a few times before it pisses me off.
I've heard that there's a type of meditation where you focus on a single word and repeat it over and over.. am I correct in my assumption?

I think you are thinking of the word.... ommmm.... something like that. I would have to look at my book. But I do believe it's ommm... something similar to that from tibet.

I had heard that it can be any word as long as it's the only thing on your mind. It's supposed to be the action of clearing all thoughts except for that from your mind that sends you into a meditative state. That's what buddhists use prayer beads for.

I think whatever word you choose is supposed to be positive, (most likely) not harsh sounding, and has some personal meaning to you that makes you want to use it as a meditative word. *shrug* thats all I got.

Word don't work for me... I like to like a candle and concentrate on it, or explore the oddities of my rock collection..
