i wrote this poem when i was riding a bus on my way to school this morning...

VISION OF POLARIS
up in the vastness of heaven
i drift away and hide.
behind the clouds of the night
i silently wept and agonize
long have i been mourning
for the death of a star
the brightest of them all
beauty and majesty in the sky
seems like yesterday
the sight of you looked so near
so close that i could hold you
and could say that you are mine
but then came the radiant moon
with all glory and beauty
overshadowed by it's radiance
you slowly disappeared
my once beautiful polaris,
now gone in the darkness of night
will we still be together for eternity
or will forever be taken away from me.
