sooo. people have seen the previews, they have seen the movie reviews, they have seen critics and the people screaming and laughing about how great this movie just so happens to be. me? i saw it opening night, and within five minutes of the movie starting, the crowd erupted into laughs and the laughs continued into the end. this movie is very funny. it is for mature people. i'm not going to put an age on maturity, but i suggest you be mature if you want to go see this movie. it is very great, and very funny. the storyline included in this film, is as followed: Kazakhstani TV talking head Borat is sent to the United States to report on the greatest country in the world. With a documentary crew in tow, Borat becomes more interested in locating and marrying Pamela Anderson. yes, that is the storyline, and how it may seem to be just like any other movie, it is infact very filled with twists and turns, as the man Borat has to go through america and experience new things, and meet new people. the rating they have been saying on the commercials, i believe doesn't do this movie justice at all, seeing as how they gave it a 4 out of 5.
i think that is horse crap, and this movie is a 5 out of 5.
but you really need a sense of humor if you're going to see it. this movie does include nudity, and various. "wow" scenes.
please post your thoughts on this movie.

Well I haven't seen it, but it is my kind of film. What I also like is that the guy who Borat is Britsh and was payed by the British, so my British pride went up when I heard it was popular in the states. I do agree that you need a very good sense of humore. Rule of thumb, is that Britsh comedy is pretty much five years ahead of most comidies out in the world, so if you can handle British comedy then Borat should be fine, you have to be total arse holes like us xd
Okay, country pride to one side, from what my friends have told me, it brillient and witty. I find it annoying that the people who have been 'duped' in the film are trying to get compisation. C'mon, you must be an idiot to believe in someone like Borat, he did the same thing when he went to America as Ali G, you would of thought some of the questions he said were a little suspicious.
Overall, I hope I'll have some time to watch it, as my friends and many people I've talked to that have seen it absaloutly loved it. If not, I'm definetly buying the DvD 3nodding

I don't read or watch Harry Potter, but I remember correctly, the director in the first two films was American, the third film was done by a Mexican director and the fourth was done by a British director. Most of the main adult characters are pretty famous over in England; the actor who plays the really huge man with the big black bears and hair (sorry I don't know the name >.<) plays a famous actor called "Cracker". Don't know who else acts in the Potter films, because I haven't watched them. I suggest some good British Films are; Monty Python films ("The Holy Grail" and "The Life of Brian" are a must!), Shaun of the Dead, Lock Stock and two smoking barrels, The Full Monty, and some 80s British cartoons (Danger Mouse, Trap Door, Chorlton and the Wheelies, Count Duckular, Bagpuss ect ect) wink Okay I'll stop being patriotic now xd

l u f f y Shaun of the Dead!! xd xd i love that movie! Yeah that's an awesome film xd Well if you like that, then I think you'll like British Comedy. I'd suggest going on youtube and look for stuff like Black Adder, Monty Pyton, Dead Ringers and 2D TV "I'm gonna press the button! I'm gonna press the button" I think there's some more Borat on there too, because he would sometimes do a couple of sketchs of him in his Ali G show.

I loved his niggatalk scene when he wanted to get the hotel, and then the Jew house they got trapped in. Overall, it was definitely a good movie, but I didn't find it incredibly so. I would recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor though. Well, maybe not to a jewish woman. ninja

WOW, LOL.
SO
who heard on the news about the real thing that happened? how half the people in this movie didn't even know they were going to be in a being in a big screen film? how they just threw money in the peoples faces so it sidetracked them while they signed the release forms. xd

I don't know, it's a very unreasonable movie.
You have to take its humor with a grain of salt and realize that these are caricatures of the sterotype of a very conservative, percievedly ignorant third-world country. And not actually what these people probably think.

I didn't really like that movie. Too much vile things in it for my taste. Although, it was quite funny in parts to see how people of America are.

I would have to say that it was incredibly ridiculous how much people where scream-laughing during that movie. It was ok, but it wasn't that funny...
