Sunny days, he mused silently, were another thing in this new world that he was definitely going to have to get used to. The days of sweltering heat he spent seeking refuge in shadow in his home Cosmo Canyon certainly didn't count... and the omnipresent darkness that always overshadowed Midgar was something that obviously didn't exist here.
It was strange... he always felt like he was in danger of tainting this place with the impurities he'd brought with him from his own world... if this place began to divide itself with war, corruption, and pollution, he'd never forgive himself.

Standing tall near where she always was. While Moki was away she would stand there for hours because it's where they first met. she had not seen him in a while. He had been away, Nicole was hidding in the shade. She hated that she shone so brightly in the sunlight. It was like a radar when she stepped out. The one twirl under her eye always blinded her so she usually hummed and closed her eyes when walking.
Nicole was a very quiet mare untill you knew her. She was shy at some times but, she loved being around others. It made her feel more of herself. remembering her past was the worst thing of all something had happened that whipped her twin sister and her memory. She only remember forgetting what happened once. She faced some stallion and she got so upset that she forgot what happened that entire day.
Whistling her tail and mane dancing with the light breeze. It was a beautiful day and all she did was hid. flicking her curly tail she smiled as she gazed over the land her purple eye's skinning the land.

Allowing a soft, bored yawn escape his jaws, the firey-colored soquili tromped across the dying grass of the browning meadow, ears twitching absently to the various sounds of the forest around him. Sniffing the air as he came to an abrupt halt, golden hues rose to settle upon the form of an ivory and amethyst mare in the distance, blinking in curiosity. She seemed to be trying to hide from something-- the sun, perhaps? He knew, probably better than most, how annoying the constant sunlight could be, and nodded to himself in understanding.
Nodding to himself with the resolve to make a new friend, he twisted his features into what he hoped was a disarming grin and stepped forward, trying not to frighten her. "Greetings, miss."

Nicole's eyes floated from the distance to a firey red soquili with interesting patterns like hers but, different. She smiled in greeting when she saw the stallion heading her way, the sun seemed to be fading into the night then she would still be careful venturing out if any light hit her patterns she would shine.
she nodded back as her tail and mane continued dancing with the wind. She smiled brighter as she replyed, while she looked at his difference from hers. Now thinking Nicole began wondering on why she hit herself for being different she loved being different if you thoughed about it "Hi" she said cheerfully, she was never for the proper stuff but she was usually calm and sweet.

He returned the smile with a gentle one of his own, tilting his head slightly to one side in a rare display of innocence and curiosity, spiky auburn forelocks falling away from his eyes as they met her gaze. It was refreshing to see that she was not afraid of him as most were when they first laid eyes upon him, and he found himself brightening slightly at the prospect of making a new friend. "Good evening," he started with a lighthearted grin, eyeing the sky for a moment to judge how quickly night would come upon them. He turned his attention back to her then, one ear twitching absently. "Sunset is a dangerous time for a mare to be out alone... may I ask what brings you out here?"

Nicole looked around and smiled nothing fazed her about him. He seemed nice and she trusted everybody untill they proved her wrong. Her eye's for a brief moment drifted off towards the sun which seemed to be dipping into the horizion quiet fast. Softly bringing her magenta eye's back to the stallion she smiled agian "Good evening to you too. It's quiet a nice one" Nicole who's ears listened carefully to what he said found her self somewhat shocked. On a first meeting this stallion had shown that no madder who it was he cared for their well being. "I know it's dangerous. But, I love the night. I was also waiting for my mate to arrive sence he has been gone a very long time" her cheerful smile then faded away. Taking a deep breathe she cheered herself up and smiled "Can't you see?" she questioned jokingly "These apple's are the finest around!" If you didn't notice Nicole was standing right under her favorite apple tree. Which she guessed was a somewhat danger. With some crazy people wanting apples in the middle of the night and all.

He chuckled softly at her enthusiasm, the smile adorning his face turning slightly wistful at the mention of her meeting a loved one out here. Nanaki was not, by any means, a romantic, but he'd been giving the thought of having a special someone more consideration lately, and he had to admit that he didn't dislike the idea. The only thing he really objected to was the possibility of ending up heartbroken like his adopted brother. He shrugged off the thought for now and glanced down at the energetic mare, a questioning look gracing his features as she trailed off. It wasn't his place to question it, though, so he left it alone.
The chuckling increased a bit in volume as she gestured to the apple tree, and he nodded his understanding as he reached up for one of the fruit. Rising up onto his hind legs, he bit into one and plucked it from the branch with his teeth, chewing it thoughtfully for a moment as he dropped back to the ground in front of her. He nodded after a moment, golden eyes twinkling in mirth. "They are the finest I've tasted in a while, thank you miss."

Nicole grinned as the night darkened. "Don't worry. Sir, you can help yourself to my apple's anytime" She smiled and the looked at the new rising moon, her grin was over come by a smile then her eye's glanced back to him with curiousity. "I Have not caught your name?" she listened and then her gaze left him.
