I was advised to post this, and yes. I do use harsh words. I am not very often one for formalities such as pulling my words. I say what I believe.

ON ABORTION
I find it funny that the only people who usually (and I say usually because I have seen some counter examples) want to start revolutions and change things for the "better", and by that I mean end racism, make Christian values into laws and put more fat people in the media, are the fat and unattractive people.

For example, if you look around the school, you will see the majority of the people with the "Abortion killed 1/3 of our population" shirts are either obese or unattractive females. I will not go much into the abortion debate, because that is not what I am really talking about, but, people are taking things out of context and misquoting them to use them against abortion. If you look closely enough you will see some quotes on those shirts are out of the bible and I saw an anti-abortion sticker with a quote from Mother Theresa on it. Aslo, the retards are wearing those anti-abortion shirts, and that in it's self is undeniably wrong. They are not being allowed to make their own decisions about what they wear and I am certian they do not understand the meaning behind the words on their shirts. They are being used as bill-boards and, well, that is kind of stupid for the goal of the anti-abortion people to give their shirts to retards, because I mean, come on, it's a retard. If a retard wears a shirt that says: "I wouldn't be here today if my mom had an abortion" Think of all the jokes that would be cracked and all the mean comments people will make. You know my opinion on retarded people. I think anyways. On to my next thought.

ON A "REVOLUTION"

I've already had two people come to me and say: "Let's start a revolution." They gave me vivid details as to what we would do and how we weould go down in history as "Incredible" and "Legandary" and "Brave" and all that. I told them: "Call me when I'm forty, I don't feel like blowing up buildings and putting myself in jail today thanks. If you would have caught me a couple years ago, I would have been all for it, but I have too much going for me now. Maybe I will want to do that after I have been happily married for a few years and have a stable job with enough money for explosives." Then I laughed. They didn't like my sarcasm.

ON RACISM AND FAT PEOPLE (OVERLY SKINNY ONES TOO)
As for ending racism and putting fat people in the media... I think a little racism is a good thing. It makes people laugh and it makes some people work harder and go farther in life then they normally would. Some people just take things was too far. Fat people in the media? I laugh. There are enough fat singers and actors and writers and fry cooks and j**z moppers (Well, ok, I really don't know anything about j**z moppers, and frankly I don't want to, from what I've heard) But promoting a positive image for fat people would only make it "ok" to be fat. Some people can't help it, but 99% can help their weight. I mean, it's not healthy to be as skinny as most models are too, those shouldn't be in the media either. Physically appealing or not, overly large and overly thin people should not be in the media because they do not promote healthy weight.

I throw around the word "retard" and some would say that is harsh, but I do not believe it is so. If it really and truely offends people I will change the word.

In contrast to Greek argument, I'd like to say "It's better to attack the message than the messenger." In all three of these topics, you skirt the topics to generalize on their...supporters. If you were going to generalize the pro-life crowd, you could've easily done it by noting the bible-toting far Right conservatives. Idealistic teens with no foresight are much less likely to start any kind of revolution - especially in America, land of the lazy and home of the weak-willed - than a rich intellectual with the means and capacity. As for "racism" towards fat people - let's say, discrimination - is a double-sided issue. On the one hand, these people are sick (the overly thin and the obese) and certainly lend a hand to the laziness and obesity of Americans. On the other hand, you can't just say that they shouldn't be on TV 'cos they're not "good role models"; censorship never got us anywhere. They want more fat people on TV? Fine; but that means we get to show more fat people with eating disorders, more fat people with heart disease and health risks, and more people dieing of obesity. Same with smokers; same with dangerously thin people.

But my point stands; attack the argument, and you'll initiate much more conversation in Novos.

Hmm, about the retards and abortion shirt thing... I think it should be the retards choice to wear that shirt or not, I mean I could care less about weather or not the retard likes or dislikes abortion, it's just that they don't know and probably don't have the capacity to know. I don't know... I don't make sence.

I will be back later to discuss things more, but right now I'm headed out. Talk to you later. Thanks for commenting.

It's easy to make your kid a slave to your own values. That's how we get these young kids who are so ultra-conservative uber-Christians. It's literal brainwashing, and one of the biggest arguments against organized religion.

Abortion Opinion

Abortion killed 1/3 of our population, huh?

Good.

Most of those abortions were from underage teens and unmarried couples who could not support a child, I'd bet. Why should we have another baby on welfare?

About the fat people on TV thing, I don't really care. I don't watch TV, and all.

Evolution Opinion

Who else here thinks that this is a bit too ordered and sophisticated to all be entirely random and by chance? I do. I don't know that evolution is right, nessesarily, but I do know that it's the best theory around, currently.

anyone who judges an argument by the appearance of those involved in the debate is not worth debating.
