Yup, yup, the one and only, Tear Grants.
Since it seems there are many Abyss character threads appearing, I'll just join that movement as well.
Tear is also my favorite female character and second favorite overall character (1st being Ion).
A summary of Tear:
Tear-a sixth fonist and brother of Vandesdelca Grants
Her first appearance was about a half hour or less in the game when she attempts to assassinate Van. Luke causes a hyperesonance causing them both to go to Tataroo Valley. In conclusion....
No Tear, No story for Lukey-boy(at least the way I see it)
Ah, I always had Tear in my party no matter what.
Especially since she had spells like Resurrection, Judgement, Holy Lance, Eclair de Larmes, and Revitalize.
Her personality also got to me.
She's hard on herself and very strict, but has a very soft spot for cute things (Examples: Buusagi, Mieu)
One of my favorite scenes is when she holds onto Mieu when Mieu first gets Mieu Wings.

I would have hated her if it weren't for the whole 'cute things' bit.

In nearly every game/anime/manga/movie/book/etc I've ever seen, I normally despise the main female characters from the bottom of my heart. There are only a few exceptions. Tear takes the tops for my all-time favorite female character from any medium. (Anise is cool too, Natalia should be pushed off a cliff.) And one of my top 5 favorite characters in general overall.
