OK, so some of you might have known that I want to join the Air Force and then become an Officer of the Law. For those of you that didn't, eat your heart out xp . Anywho, so last Thursday, I had to go the Marines Office with my older brother, Peter, who has signed up for the Marines and is leaving for Camp Pendalton, in San Diego, California this December 3rd, so that i could go to the church with him right after his "playtime" with the Marines. So they did pull-ups on the bar and i didn't even atempt them because i know i can't do many, one or 2 at best. Then they did Marine style crunches/sit-ups, I managed to pull off 34 of those, Peter got 69, the show off xd . Then we went outside to do the 1.5 mile run, I thought I couldn't run that far without dying, but I managed to do it in 16 minutes 20 seconds, 3 minutes 40 seconds under the limit xp but at least I finished, now I'm totaly sore, so I decided to do a few push-ups, sit-ups/crunches, and attempt a few pull-ups and run. Alot of running. So, this the were the delima comes in. I realized that i want to be able to run 1.5 miles in short amounts of times and not be sore afterwords, i want to be able to do what those Marines do... So im asking you guys whether I should join the Air Force or the Marines. Overall, the Air Force would be easier, but I want the challange that the Marines have to offer... Voice your opinion, and don't say "neither" 'cause I'm joining the Military one way or the other.
Loves from ~Hero

You're leaving us then? sad gonk Well, if your mind is made up, I think you should decide which you would enjoy more. If you really enjoy flying, would a physical challenge still be more enjoyable? If it were me, it would be a whole different story, as I have issues with heights. sweatdrop I love flying, but considering the nervous type of driver I am, I'd probably make a terrible pilot. But you've gotta decide what you'd rather do. To be honest, I see you as more of an air force person, but as I've never met you IRL, I may not be the one you want to listen to. If you enjoy a good physical challenge more than anything else, the Marines may be exactly what you want.

If I joined the Air Force, I wouldn't be able to fly unless i actualy stayed for a few extra years, then take some tests and get really really good grades on the test and then I would have to make it to like the rank of um... some high ranking rank before I could get into a plane and take it for a ride xp im still so undecided gonk

well since you want to do this so bad.. i say air force.. as you said.. its easier and my friend thats sitting right next to meh told me a story. ok well her ex boyfriend went to the marines.. and she found out if there is a war, the marines are the first to go in and the last to go out. well her ex got shot on the boat.. and they didnt know if he would make it or not. but happily he did.. but if that happens to you.. and you get shot.. there might not be no maybe.. it might be def. death. and i agree with what Raven said, we dont know you IRl.. so our opinions basically mean nothing. also we cant tell you whats best for you.. but after what caiti told meh.. and if i was in your situation, id pick air force.

Well, in that case, since you're not planning on a military career, I would go with the easiest one. While it may seem like the war will be over soon, you can't predict the future, and it's still safer to go with air force. For the sake of your family and your girlfriend, I think that's the better choice. If you were planning to make a life out of it, I could understand taking a bigger risk. Besides, who wants to spend four years on something just because you were intrigued by a challenge? You can still challenge yourself in the air force.

Sounds like you already made up your mind. xp I didn't know that was the kind of fun you were into. A girlfriend can do that for you. xd Well, I still advocate the air force, but good luck, either way.
