Bad News... (part 1)

Zoombini_Isle
Along the isle there seems to be a disturbance in the wildlife. Birds shreik and burst out of the trees from deeper in the soft rain forest turf. Small furry things come scrambling out of the bush and hide where they can. What could possibly cause this much chaos in such a peaceful place? Then you see him. He is tall. Taller then any other elder you have ever seen. He seems to almost glow a liquid blue as he makes his way closer to the village. Saphires adorn him everywhere there is space, it almost seems like an obsession, but your eyes are drawn elsewhere. Lightning trails down his legs and seems to be.. moving? Thats right there, one of the bolts withdrew and struck again at some imaginary ground long his legs. He stops and looks around surveying all those gathered outside of the village to catch glimpse of what started this chaos.

"I am Hitaku, and you are all in grave danger."

darkelementaldemon
The demonic adult zoombini sat on the outskirts of the village, one leg crossed over the other, observing the chaos. She then caught sight of the elder. Kira quirked an eyebrow, standing and crossing her arms. Her eyes scanned over him and his features a few times before she heard him spoke and spoke back. "What do you mean, by danger?" Her eyes narrowed, wings folding behind her back. Her eyes drifted back and forth between Hitaku and the chaos going on further away.

Zoombini_Isle
Hitaku looked around at those gathered before him and tossed his wild mane of hair back to clear it from his eyes. He peered curiously at the Malorum woman and huffed silently.

"This world grows day by day, content to the light that surrounds you. Did you not think that dark times were coming? One day the sun shall set. The Gods are displeased and seek to punish this world for their own delight. There are some who are empathetic to your kind and sent me to warn you of the dangers to come. I am Hitaku, silent voice to the Gods that watch over you."

The lightening in his fur danced madly and a small wind picked up with the rise and fall of his voice, as if to prove his words.

Wolfs Heart
Chance looked up as he heard the skurry of animals coming from close by. He lifted his head and looked towards the sound. His body almost automatically lifted up and he floated towards the elder. He put his feet down just before arriving and landed on the ground, walking the rest of the way. He came just in time to hear the elder speak. "What do you mean?" he asked boldly. Right then he noticed that others had gathered.

Malis Delnaria
Imogen showed up, carrying the sleeping Pip, curious by the change in the atmosphere. Her eyes widened as she saw the imposing elder standing before a few other zombini of the island. She heard him utter those phropetic words and a shiver ran down her back in responce. The Gods are displeased and seek to punish this world for their own delight? Immi's mind went over Hitaku's words and she was dismayed, would that mean this peaceful island would become caotic? What about the few who had not done anything wrong? or had they unwittingly failed to please the gods and this was their punishment?

darkelementaldemon
Kira paused, listening to his words for a few moments before looking back at him. "It's not much use warning without telling is what we should prepare for" She murmured, stepping closer so she could see the lightning markings on his legs move, "Perhaps, you could spare a little more detail? What, or rather, how do the gods wish to punish us so? Without much reason, may I add..."

Wolfs Heart
"I have not heard of any gods... why have they not made theirselves known until they wish to punish us. What have we done wrong if they have not told us what is wrong?" Chance questioned the deliverer. He brushed back his silver hair showing off the fine points on top of his head.

Zoombini_Isle
Hitaku grunted.

"Do you think that was all I was going to tell you?", he eyed Kira distastefully.

"Children this world is about to be turned up side down, there is no reason to the madness that will befall you. Creatures of unspeakable horrors are even now being awakened by the Gods to hunt you. They are displeased that you have grown so weak. The whole point of this is to prove that our races are still the proud warriors that they were once created to be. We were created in the image of our Gods, so they are displeased that we have done away with our old foes and live comfortably, with little to no fear."

He looked around once more. A tap of his stave onto the ground revealed a ball.

"Come. Look at what I have to show you. Not even your ancestors would have memories of these."

The ball started to glimmer as he held it for all to see. Inside the soft glass image started to form something that looked like a gigantic lizard.

Hitaku turned again to look at Chance, "Your kind has been long away from the mortal world. They hid away from all the other tribes, and just now started to emerge. Do you not feel this overwhelming pressure that has been building for quite some time? Your elders might not of told you, but this is the reason that they came out of their solitary."

darkelementaldemon
Kira glanced at the ball, nose twitching slightly at the creature shown within it. She wanted to keep a calm composure, usually she was as calm as she could be, but now she was starting to worry, though her expression and her slanted posture showed none of it.
"Old foes?" She repeated questioningly, "Foes of the past? How was life for us lived before, when it wasn't 'comfortable,' so to speak?"

Wolfs Heart
Chance looked at the zoombini the elder had spoken too curiously. He then looked back to the ball that had appeared. He watched it curiously, the lizard inside. "Is this the creature that will be sent to hunt us? " he asked curiously.

Bad News... (part 2)

Zoombini_Isle
Hitaku bowed his head at Kira's question

"Your anciestors, Kira, were the ones for the downfall of these creatures. These are called Dragons, and they are none to friendly. They used to hunt your kind mercilessly. Until they were seduced by the power the malorum offered them. They were tricked and killed ruthlessly. Your ancestors were brave and proud. And most definately vicious in their dealings with any enemy. Now, all you are known for is your trickery against the other races, a candle held up against the sun of what you once were, don't you think?"

darkelementaldemon
"Malorum" Kira repeated in a wispered tone, her wings twitching. She didn't bother asking how he knew her name, it seemed like a pointless question. She instead nodded, thoughts flowing through her mind. "Perhaps..." She said louder now, so she was audiable, "But... how are... what are we to do about it now? If we are, nothing compared to our ancestors, what are we to do about these?" She motioned to the creature in the orb with her hand."

Wolfs Heart
Chance returned his green-eyed gaze to the elder. "Pressure?" he asked curiously. He knew of no pressure. "The gods... presence... I might have felt it without notice. I often feel strange things but I figure it is from my abilities..." he mentioned. He closed his eyes and focused on the ball in front of him he lifted it slightly off of the ground before it landed gently back on the ground.

Overfiend Katsumi
Hitaku slowly took notice of the human and pointed at her, he started to say something but stopped and focused his attention back on Kira.

"Dear child, that is a question only your elders would know the answer to. This is information not even I can provide, lest I wish to be struck down where I stand. I am only to inform you of the dangers you are to face, not face them with you. The dragons are mighty beasts with little to no weaknesses, it is up to all of you together to figure out how to defeat them."

He turned again his gaze to Chance, "You are but a true child, please forgive me for assuming you knew more then you do. Where are your parents little one?"

Malis Delnaria
The ball worried Immi, or more like what she saw within it's glassy surface. "You mean to say that because we are 'a shadow of our former self' we shall be destoryed? Or at least persued?" Her voiced quavered slightly but wherther it was fear or anger wasn't apparent yet. She held Pip close and took a step forward. "Isn't it the Gods teaching that help keep us on that path of strentch? Where have the god's been to prevent this downfall?"

Overfiend Katsumi

Hitaku smiled at Immi, "Your kind was always the sweet and gentle race, you are favored among some of the Gods because you are not only part of the world but you are at one with it. But sadly yes, you will either be destroyed or prevail, the outcome is up to you to decide. As for the Gods, they have been around you, watching, at first they were delighted at your destruction of your enemies, but now that you are foeless, they feel that it is time to revive old battles. Unfortunately, while you are a shadow of your former race, so will be the creatures that come at you. They will be ten times stronger then anything your ancestors had to face, simply because they do not want you to live in complete peace"

Xephiron
A dark-furred Zoombini watched from a slight distance, wondering about what was happening. After a small amount of watching, he finally noticed an elder, unlike any that he'd seen before. Who is this... He, personally was never all that well-known either. His name was Zakerune, though, he preferred the nickname Zak. He had always stayed hidden and simply trudged through his life, not having a single other worry about him. And in result, none did. He watched as the elder revealed an orb, the appearance of a reptilian beast within it. His eyes narrowed, knowing that they could not possibly be a good thing. His curiousity got the best of him as he walked foreward slowly, not knowing what to do at the moment.

As he neared, he heard things about being destroyed and past selves. He stopped in his tracks, swallowing a bit. He continued, not completely understanding. He ended up near the others, around the elder unknown to him.

He didn't want to intrude, but as he heard the word, he softly whispered to himself..
"Dragons..."

darkelementaldemon
Kira sighed an leaned her back against a small tree that was a few feet away from her. Her put her chin in her right hand, her elbow against her side. "Like going into a maze blind" She murmured quietly, mostly to herself. She bit her lower lip, fingers of her other hand tapping on her side. How were they supposed to prepare for something that no one would remember? There was... no possible way, at least, right now. "This... Well, I'm sure that no one around here's going to let this happen without at least trying to stop it" The side of her mouth twitched, "But, still, it's going to be extremely hard to prepare for that which no one knows about around here..."

Wolfs Heart
Chance's ears went back as he looked up at the elder and he sat himself down. "I do not know" he said sadly, since he had never met them, or at least did not remember them. "Do you know who they are?" he asked.

Malis Delnaria
The earth 'bini nodded at the elders comment but still frowned slightly, not sure whether this was something that would end up being anything good. "There must be something out there to at least give us a fighting chance?" She shook her head slightly, "If the gods truly wished us to learn, grow and ultimatly suceed they should know that if we are as weak as they say we are it will take time to muster the things needed for even the slightest victory." She, herself was not the type to fight, healing was more her specilty, but she knew of a few who might... some who might even enjoy the battle that seemed to be ever looming now.

Zoombini_Isle
A small smile spread across his lips as he regarded Kira, "The Gods, a long time ago, sent a creature to this planet at your darkest hour, one that eventually swayed the odds. This creature at one time was so plentiful that there was one to every Zoombini. I am here not only to spread this word amongst you, but to re-establish this bond. As I have stated before, you have friends among the Gods, who do not believe this to be fair. These same very Gods were the creaters of these animals. They are scarce and rare these days, but from hence forth in your darkest days, for every child borne there will be a Zamboozel borne as well. This is all the time I have for now, I will return once more when the creatures are truely unleashed. I would use my time wisely now and prepare for what could quite possibly be the end of your world as you know it."

Hitaku waved his hand and the globe disappeared.

"The signs are everywhere around you, be weary, watch for them. The creatures may reach you before I do, I pray that this does not happen, because the dragons may be the least of your worries, there are more, far more creatures that would love to do you harm."

With that he turned, giving Gareth a stern look, then walking back the way he came, into the forest.

Enter Zamboozels (part 1)

Xephiron
He almost laughed with the young Zoombini had said, but refrained from doing so. After a moment, he realized that he did not know a single person there, and it almost frightened him, but he closed his eyes for a moment and calmed himself. He was still wondering what they were to do about the dragons... From what he'd heard long ago, as a youngling, they were ferocious and not to be underestimated... Ever. He hoped that an answer would be revealed to them, for simply letting the dragons come down and destroy everything and everyone was not an option. He clenched his fist slightly, thinking about that damage that could be caused by the beasts.

He looked up to the elder, eyes slightly narrowed. He watched as the Elder left, not knowing what to do.. He wasn't one to run away from a fight with anything, but still... Dragons, he'd always been told how horrible they were, how almost invincible they were. He looked at the other Zoombinis, feeling the need to ask one simple question.

"What are we going to do?"

darkelementaldemon
Kira nodded and stood up straight, watching the zoombini leave. She sighed, finger anxiously tapping at her side to. She then turned and looked to the small crowed that had accumulated, "Well, what do we do now?" She murmured in a hushed tone. Maybe they, the group together, could start some small planning, preparations.

Malis Delnaria
Immi turned towards the dark zombini and shook her head slighty."That I do not know." She looked down towards the still sleeping Pip and frowned. "But I am sure that we will have to find a way to overcome our weaknesses. If only to protect the ones who will follow out footsteps." The earth 'bini gazed at the others around her and smiled slightly. "We are all different in many ways but I am sure that will be one of our strengths. We will find a way to face this new danger."

Reeshie Hack
I fumbled with the ring on my left hand as I thought. The battle was a blur in my memory, a blur of fire and pain.

"Um... Excuse me. I think I might be able to help you," I said slowly, raising my head to look up at them from where I sat off to the side. My voice sounded hoarse in my ears, like it remembered the taste of the smoke as it choked my lungs. I coughed lightly into my hand and nodded my head.

darkelementaldemon
Kira looked to the two zoombinis, shrugging at the question. She stood and walked towards them. "I'm.. not sure either. I haven't seen any of the elders around, so we won't be able to ask them about anything for now, and I'm not sure if there's any place that has information" She shrugged, "But we could go check around..." Orange eyes then looked to the human, "How so?"

Xephiron
He nodded in agreement with with that last of what she had said. "I'm sure that we'll be able to with the power of out kinds..." He looked at the earthen Zoombini and wondered slightly...

"Perhaps it would be a good idea to try and come up with a small plan for now? With the little we know, of course..." He said, feeling a need to be prepared. He heard the voice of another, turning to hear.

"Any help you have would be greatly appreciated."

Malis Delnaria
"I guess the first thing to do is find a safe place for all who cannot fight. We need a safe haven for children and a place to tend wounded." Her mind seemed to sharpen as necessity took control. How much time they had, she did not know, but if there was a way to gain the upper hand, time was of the essance. "The stronger of our island might need to gather together, work out a plan for defense to keep that chosen area safe." She listened to the demonic zoombini and nodded, "You are right, we must find the elders."

Reeshie Hack
"I have a little bit of experience in this area," I replied, pulling my hair out of the ponytail so that I could braid it. I bit my lip in thought and nodded again.
"Yeah. Albeit there's a good chance my dragon was different from yours, but I still remember most of it," I added as I finished the last tight pleat, then wrapped the long braid once around my neck. I looked to the earth Zoombini and nodded.
"That sounds like the perfect way to start off."

Xephiron
He nodded in agreement to the Earth's plan. He remembered something and stepped back, taking a deep bow, hands at his sides. He knew to always show manners, though he'd forgotten in his anxiety over the idea of dragonkind arriving at their land. He decided that introducing himself should've been something he'd done from the start, but now more important. Afterall, these were the Zoombinis that were to help protect their kind.

"My name is Zak." He said politely, bringing his head back up and pushing his hair back out of his eyes. He turned to the earth element and nodded. "I believe that would be the best plan... We don't want anyone getting killed for nothing." After saying that, a bit of remorse filled him. Either way, some would be lost in this event... Even if it were the dragons, he felt remorse at the lost of life. He decided to not show it as he simply stood there, hiding his feelings on the matter.

darkelementaldemon
Kira nodded, agreeing, "Yes, but..." She sighed, "Fighting, apparantly, doesn't happen around here as much as it did in the past. So I don't know who around here who are skilled in fighting. I've learned a bit, being of the demonic tribe, and I know a few, but we don't base our lives around fighting as much as our apparant ancestors had..."

Xephiron
Remembering the small amount he'd heard before, he nodded at the demonic's words.

"And that is the reason all of this is happening, no? The gods dislike how we've become too weak for them..." He stated. He sighed, not really knowing what to do. "Well, what can we all do, personally?"

Malis Delnaria
"Forgive my impudance, I am pleased to meet you Zak." She made a small bow as well as she could without disturbing the peaceful angelic in her arms. "My name is Imogen but many call me Immi. This little one is Pip, he is my charge until he is grown." Turning towards the demonic she nodded, "Peaceful times seem to have softened us. I did not see the need for fighting until now. Hunting provides us with food but fighting seems to be such an... evil turn of events. Begging your pardon of course." For she had heard of those who followed the demon path and wasn't sure if, or at least hoped that, all the stories were not true.

Turning towards the one who seemed to be different from the rest who stood there she added, "Any information about these dragons will be good. At least then we can gai some insite to their weaknesses." Though the elder had said they were invincible at our present state. She didn't voice her concern, deciding to stay quiet.

darkelementaldemon
Kira let out a light chuckle at the male. Odd for sure. She then looked to the two, "My name's Kira, by the way." She nodded, tucking a few strands of her orange hair behind her ear. "Besides that, what are we to do? And what of this... Zamboozel, thing, that that 'messenger for the gods' spoke of?"

Xephiron
"It's nice to meet you, Immi." Zak responded. He turned back to the Demon and nodded. Then he smiled, trying to bring everyone 'up' a bit. "We have hunters, they're close enough to fighters to be of use." He spun on his heel and fell facedown onto the sand, but landing on his elbows.

After hearing what the little one that said, he started digging into the sand, wondering if 'Ra' had any secret meaning in his words. Most likely not, but he didn't want to risk anything.

He nodded at Kira as he heard her name. "It's nice to meet you too." He smiled, as he still lay there digging. As he dug, he responded, "The Zamboozel will be found... And they'll help us, as far as I know." He nodded confidently, hoping that it was true.

Enter Zamboozels (part 2)

Zoombini_Isle
Eight small cat like beasts came out of the forest, as if on cue. The lined up in an errie row and watched the crowd.

darkelementaldemon
Kira sat in the sand also, twirling her finger in the sand, "Pleasure to meet you also, Hopefully th-" SHe was cut off as she say the creatured come out of the forest. So, these were the zamboozels...? She blinked, tilting her head to the side as she watched them.

darkelementaldemon
The red creature blinked a few times and trotted up to the demonic zoombini. Kira knelt down and blinked, watching it. "Hello..." She murmured. She looked over her shoulder towards the others for a bit, "Well, I suppose that solves the Zamboozel problem..." She called, looking back to the creartue itself. "Now... how would a creature like you... help us with the dragons...?" She paused, "Do you have a name?"

Malis Delnaria
Immi nodded, "Yes hunters will do, they already have some knowledge of..." She turned and blinked as eight creatures wandered out of the thicket. "Oh..." She let the rest of her sentance die as one by one they wandered over to each of the zoombini.

With widening eyes two came towards her. They were both mainly gray but one had a little colour in it's stripes. "Why?" She looked down at it and bent close before realizing the other was after Pip. "Hey!" She tried to stand back up but something held her for a brief moment, Pip was waking up.

The little angelic opened his eyes which fell on the gray and white zamboozel. "Eyah!" He smiled and wiggled free of Immi's arms, only to almost fall on top of the odd creature. The creature stood there and let him man-handle his way onto the zamboozel's back to settle back down. Pip promptly fell back asleep flopped over the creatures back, his arms and legs almost dragging on the floor.

Xephiron
He looked up to see a group of little creatures, his eyes slightly widening. Zamboozles? His jaw slightly dropped, then a smile formed from his lips. Cute! He crawled towards the group, one of them looking at him oddly. He grinned and gave a small 'rawr' sound. The one with pink fur caught his attention immediately, being one of the more 'cute' ones.

"Hiiii!!" He said loudly, surprising the creatures. The pink one that he'd been looking at narrowed it's eyes and leapt at him, biting his shoulder. "Ow!!" He jumped back and rubbed his shoulder, the cat-like creature simply looking back. He frowned at it, crawling back to it. He pet it softly, as he turned back to the others.

The Zamboozel hopped away, then back towards him. She jumped onto his shoulder that she'd just bitten and licked it.

He smiled at the others.
"Well then, in that case, I think I can help a little." He grinned, being a hunter and all. He knew a few tricks to fighting, afterall, he needed them to get food to feed himself. He was a horrible farmer, so hunting was his main means of food.

The cat-like creature told him. He looked back, eyes looking into hers.

"Ahh! I'm sorry!" He set her down in front of him and bowed down low, on his knees. "My name is Zak. Pleasure to meet you!" He smiled widely, not being able to control himself. On the inside, he loved pink and hearts. [<3]

She responded, seeming to bow her head lightly.

darkelementaldemon
The zamboozel nodded.
"Well, then what's your name?" Kira asked, tilting her head to one side.
-Aaron's what I call me'self. 'nd who're yuu?- The voice came from what seemed to be her mind, it was obviously a male voice, the zamboozel's voice.
Kira blinked in suprise, setting a hand on his head and scratching behind his ears lightly. "Kira's m'name. Pleasure to meet you, Aaron" She said to him.
Aaron pushed his head up into her hand, grinning sheepishly, -Pleasure'z all m'ne, partner-, his voice was heavily accented, Kira, personally, thought it was cute.

Wolfs Heart
Chance had been consumed in his own thoughts after the elder had left. He had got him thinking about the future and the past. Who were his parents? Why was he so alone in the world? What was going to happen to him? Thousands of unanswered questions. Chance could hear the others talking and making plans, but he paid little attention. He didn't even notice the line of zamboozels. He felt something brush against his side and then a pair of antlers poke him in the side "huh?" he asked in an almost dream-like state. I'm here to protect you... he heard the voice in his mind. thank you Chance replied with understanding. He stood up and looked at the zamboozel and patted it on top of the head. "Second" he called the zamboozel. "you came at the second I needed you."

Malis Delnaria
Hush... she won't hurt him. The zamboozel glanced up before hopping onto her shoulder and blinking at the earth 'bini. Immi hmmm..? The zamboozel grinned as Imogen's eyes widened in surprise. Well you can call me... Podge? The creature made a mental chuckle as he caught the earth's thoughts about names.

"Sorry, I didn't mean it..." Imogen shook her head slightly as she tried to talk to the feline like creature who was mm away from her head. "What is your real name?" She hoped she had not offended the zamboozel, especially if they were the key in protecting them from the dragons.

You can call me Podge. The zamboozel nodded. what I was named before does not matter as I am your companion now

This one is named Noir. The gray striped zamboozel told the sleeping angelic. Pip murmured nonsense in his sleep but one hand came up and lightly grasped onto the creatures long ear before bringing it to his mouth and lightly chewing on it for a moment.

Wolfs Heart
Chance looked around and saw some other zoombinis, none of which he knew, bonding with their new friends. 'You are all here to protect us?' Chance asked as he looked around. Chance walked over to the first two zoombinis he saw, an earth and an angelic. "Do you guys know if anything was figured out?" he asked since he hadn't been paying much attention to their planning.
Second followed by Chance's side 'Of course... we'll look out for each other Chance. ' he told him.

Malis Delnaria

"Nothing as of yet..." Though I am sure we will be gathering togather soon." Immi turned to the blue zoombini and smiled gently. "At present we need to find a safe haven to call home and find out who will be able to protect it. Then will be to find a way to keep the dragons away from our islands." Immi sat down for a moment so she could stay close to Pip as he slept. It did seem that the zamboozels were quite smart, hopefully they would be the key to the Zoombini's survival.

Xephiron
Zak hopped to his feet, Sel jumping up onto his shoulder once more. She then hopped once more onto his head. He wonder why she was there, but he shrugged it off. He walked back towards the others and sat himself next to them, heading his back straight so that Sel didn't fall off.

Sel asked, plopping her body down on his head, being too big, so she was also partially on his back.

"Um... I can do a few things." He nodded, forgetting that she was there and she fell into his lap. "Heh... oops." He responded, with a nervous chuckle. She glared for a moment, but stopped and decided to let it go.

He returned his focus to the others.
"Well, how about we go and find that place now, then?" He suggested, figuring that it would be best to do it faster.

Wolfs Heart
Chance nodded his head. "Oh, alright." He looked around. With the coming of new age he was not so clueless as he was when he was just a babe, but he was still only a child, and lost in confusion. "Where can we go that we will be safe?" he asked
Second looked up at Chance 'All will be revealed in time.' He instructed.
