I like this forum. It's new, metaphorically shiny, and about songs. And since I love threads too and shall always encourage the threading of them, here's a thread about a song! How very appropriate of me.
Sober! Currently number one on my constantly changing list of favourite muse songs, and also partly inscribed on a table in Room 16, my school, Southampton, England.
It does rock, rather, doesn't it?
And on the more lyrically inclined side of things, the "You're so solid" phrase, does anybody know what it means, exactly? My friends and I have shared some interpretations, but we don't really have a clue what we're talking about. ^_^'
Like maybe he's referring to an empty glass: sadly uncontaining the joys of alcohol? Or uh, some other ideas that I've temporarily forgotten. Whoops.
Anyway, Sober. Let's all post about how much it rocks? whee

Let's all post about how much it rocks? whee when i first got my hands on showbiz when it came out, i think thats the song that got me liking them lotslots lots that song & stockholm syndrome are probably my favorites.

I have absolutely loved Sober since the moment that I heard it. And Showbiz was my first Muse album, so ja. When I first started listening to it, I wasn't really paying attention to the lyrics, I was just listening to the melody. Then around the 5th time or something, I was laying in bed, and suddenly went, "Hey, this song is about alky-hol!" Except I said it kind of loud and obnoxiously and kind of yelled it, and my family heard me and yelled at me not to listen to music that has bad influences. xD I was in 8th grade back then, so, yeah.

I'm listening to Sober now , I like it , but it's so not my favourite their song .
I can't miss to say that the lyrics are very good and it's not very loud,well not for me =] .
I think that Sober is not their best song,but it sure is one of the best !

I think Sober is a great song.. it is one of the muse songs that I listen to the most.. that and Absolution I think...

Sober.....
what can I say? We all know each and every one of their songs has a specific, unique sound and well its just yet another Great.
The first time heard it, i simply played it over and over and over til I memorized the lyrics.
Soon after, it became a part of my like the rest of their songs.

I don't know what it's about, exactly, but any song with the lyrics

...has to be good.
