Tonight I started reading a post in the Author's/Reader's Discussion guild and I came up with a good idea for a story when I saw the word "Megatokyo". Don't beat me for this being a little bad, but it is just a idea for a story to write.
"Hey! Rena wake up!" called a girl. Rena slowly rose out of the bed, her eyes squinting at the clock near her bed side. It read, "10:00 A.M." her eyes shot open. She was going to be late for school! "Do you plan on sleeping all day? You know that school starts in an hour yah know?" said the girl again. "Well, why didn't you wake me earlier?” Rena squawked at the girl, "Geese, Kylie... You would think you would have at least a little sense in that head." Rena started to get out of bed when she heard footsteps stop in front of their creaky, wooden door. The door knob twisted, and the door opened slowly screeching in anger for being opened so slowly.
A tall, chubby figure walked into the room, her stiletto heels digging into the wood. It was their foster mother. "Well, I knew that you two littlie munchkins would be late for school one day," she boomed, "but surely not on the first day!" Kylie stood there shaking, but Rena got out of bed, reaching for her glasses. As she put them on and her eyes adjusted, she said calmly, "I am sorry Elsa, my clock alarm did not go off, please forgive me." Rena gave a small little bow and started for the door to take a shower and get dressed, but Elsa jabbed her hand out in front of Rena. "Oh, no you don't! If you are going to be late for school, then you shouldn't go at all!" yelled Elsa in a cracking voice. "B-But Elsa! It is our first day in Junior High! D-Do you expect us to just not go?" stuttered Kylie. The Elsa wobbled over to where Kylie stood, raised her hand, and slapped her. Kylie flinched, starting to cry with her head still turned. "Elsa! Why did you do that to Kylie?!" yelled Rena. She clenched her hand into a fist and gritted her teeth. Elsa stuck her nose in her nose in the air, "You two better just stay here! You should be grateful for me to take you into my home!" she yelled snottily. Elsa stormed out of the room before Rena could retort.
That is what I would like the opening chapter to be like, what I plan on the plot to be is in Tokyo, Japan, two orphaned children have to miss their first day of Junior High, Rena is flustered after her argument and deciedes to sneak out, Kylie stares at her blankly for a second and follows her, as they make their way to a general store, they see a poster advertising for test subjects at a local labratory. Kylie is the one to jump to conclusions and make them be test subjects so they wouldn't have to live with Elsa anymore. The assistant scientist tells them to go and get clothing, any medicine they require, and journals. Unbenownst to the girls they are going to introduce a chemical to their DNA. And the cure would be deadly... This is a story of two girls, who are running from the world. They run into a boy who claims himself to be running from the goverments of the world as we. His name is to be announced...
