Now, I know that this is a rather old anime. I still like it though. Plus, the manga's still going, so it's not that[/] old xd

InuYasha was the first official anime I actually watched, and IY was what got me into anime, so maybe that's why I'm so fond of it.

Many people say that the storyline is repetitive. I like it, though.

Here, discuss anything and everything concerining the series InuYasha.

Some questions you may consider:

-Who is your favorite character, and why?
-Do you prefer the anime or the manga?
-Potential couples?
-What do you think will become of the Shikon no Tama?
-What did you think of the ending?

I used to like Inuyasha until fan-girls got ahold of it and twisted that s**t and just made it seem disgusting. So I stopped watching it because everytime I would see it on television I'd get a nasty feeling in my stomach.

I suppose it was good, back in the day. Now it just seems like a pointless nonending anime. It doesn't even have..and ending. stare

InuYasha was my first anime too! Although now I've been much too busy with other things to watch it.

-Who is your favorite character, and why?

Sesshomaru, because I love his attitude adn roles as InuYasha's older brother. (And absolutely no other reason...*cough*He's hot*cough*)

-Do you prefer the anime or the manga?

I've only seen a tiny bit of the manga, so I will have to go with the anime.
Quote:

-Potential couples?

Does yaoi count? (InuYashaxSesshomaru)
If not, obviously InuYashaxKagome.

-What do you think will become of the Shikon no Tama?

Not sure.
Quote:

-What did you think of the ending?

I haven't seen it yet. crying

InuYasha was the . . . *counts on fingers* third anime (I think) I ever saw. (My first was Digimon and my second was Escaflowne) I don't have cable, so the only anime I ever saw was the stuff on FOX kids (now 4kids). Understandably, I chose to buy my anime. I had just finished buying all of the Escaflowne DVDs and was ready to find a new anime. A friend suggested InuYasha, so I bought it. I own the first 4 DVDs and I did enjoy them, but not as much as other series I had seen. After that, I just kind of stopped watching it. I got into other series and never looked back.

The plot was interesting and original, but for some reason I was just never able to get into the series. It might be due to the fact that long series don't do well at keeping my attention. *shrug*

Inuyasha seems to have turned into the dragon ball series. It was really good at first, with some creativity. But now, it's like it's turned into repetitive shows just for the show's sake. I don't like that. I would much rather have a few quality good shows in a season than tons and tons of the same soap opera version episodes. This is what dragon ball z devolved into.
The anime that got me into anime was basically tenchi muyo. that was back a good 6 or more years ago, the first cartoon not based on violence I ever liked lol. Cowboy Bebop is my all time favorite although I don't watch anime much anymore.

I prefer my anime to be no more than 20 or so episodes almost all of which lead up to an inevitable conclusion. Even if the bad guys win.

Inuyasha's not old. Now Yu Yu Hakusho, that's old. ^^
Personally I like them both. Inuyasha's nothing like DBZ, for one the DragonBall saga/series has an ending, several of them and just when you think it's done they revive it and it's back (It's like Power Rangers or Pokemon that way I swear) Inuyasha didn't resolve their major issue and then have a new major issue. They didn't resolve their major issue period. (For people who haven't seen the end of the anime and care I've put it in white.) The show just ends, right in the middle. Naraku has most of the jewel, takes the last shard, escapes and it just ends. crying Hopefully the manga will actually resolve the plot.

Personally I like Kagome and Inuyasha together and I like Miroku and Sango together. I would love to see the show/manga end thus: Inuyasha uses the jewel to become fully human (thus purifying it and making it go *poof*) and goes through the well to be with Kagome. Miroku (or Sesomaru or Inuyasha) kills Naraku, gets cured of the curse and lives happily ever after with Sango. I also want Kohaku to return to his normal self, now that his memories are restored, and go with his big sister and brother-in-law. What can I say? I love happy endings. ^^
