Iona and Twilight arrived safely at her homeland, having used the portal of the Enchanted Dragon store.

Iona looked all around at the lava which had turned solid across the land. "Oh my."
Twilight held her close. "Hey, don't worry, your family is in the castle. It is safe up there on the hill."

Twilight and Iona headed off across the land, Twilight helping Iona where the terrain was rough from the solidified lava.

After quite a trek, Twilight and Iona reached the castle. There were some dragons outside who immediately ran to Iona and hugged her in a dragony way. Iona introduced Twilight to them and told them pieces of what had happened to her, holding some back as she knew she would only have to repeat herself shortly to the others. Eager to know if everyone was ok, she asked them how her family had fared in the wake of the volcano erupting. They told her everyone was ok, and they got her rushed message that she was ok when she left some weeks ago, but had no idea where she was.
Going inside, there was more hugging and introducing and explaining. Finally Iona and Twilight got to Iona's parents. Twilight nearly passed out when he saw golden crowns on their heads. He stammered as they greeted him and thanked him for taking care of Iona. There was mention of a royal medal and a grand feast and party. Sensing it was all a bit of a shock for poor Twilight, Iona suggested they all sit down with a nice cup of cocoa.
Iona told Twilight that he could relax. "My family is royal, yes, but they are just like any other family, really."
Twilight tried to relax, but he figured it would take a while to fully come to grips with it all.

Twilight slowly started to feel more at ease about the whole royalness of the place. Once he saw how much fun the others were having at the royal feast/party, he started to feel more at home.

The next day Twilight was so tired he slept through half the morning. Everyone had danced and chatted until quite late the night before. Today Iona was going to show him around the castle.

A little group of young dragons ran up to Twilight. Leaping all around him, they wanted to know about his home and how he got there. They fired off a dozen questions all at once. Iona was going to shoo them away but Twilight said it was ok. He got them to all sit down and he told them about his home. They thought it sounded wonderful.

Twilight and Iona stood out on the hill surveying the land around them. Amazingly, much of the beautiful landscape had escaped the lava flow. There were pockets of lush vegetation and valleys of solid lava. Twilight hoped the volcano stayed dormant for many years to come.

The days went by and both the dragons were enjoying their time in Iona's homeland. But they knew a decision had to be made. It was obvious to them that they wanted to stay together, but where should they live, here or back in Twilight's land? In the end, they decided that indeed why did they have to decide at all? They would spend time in both places. Pixie was most happy for them to live at her house and there was certainly plenty of room here in the castle.
Iona told her parents who nodded wisely, deeming the two dragons most sensible. Twilight suggested they head back to tell Pixie of their plans. Iona remembered the little purple plushie they planned to pick up for Pixie. That put some urgency into their steps, wondering if it had become enchanted yet. Hugging everyone and promising to return soon, they raced off down the hill.

On one of their visits to Iona's homeland, Twilight and Iona spotted the most exotic looking seadragons in one of the ponds in the courtyard. "Look at them! It's almost like they are dressed for a party! What beautiful fins!" Iona exclaimed.

There were lots of young dragons in the castle and they were always running around having fun. Iona liked to sit and tell them stories and Twilight liked to play Chasey with them. They could never catch him, as he could fly really well nowadays.

Twilight had set a whole stack of pillows up around Iona. He wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. Having been given the news that they were soon to become parents, he had fussed more than ever over his beautiful mate.

Iona told Twilight that their babies would be arriving very very soon. So Twilight called upon some of the female dragons from Iona's family for support. This whole baby thing was so new to him, he wanted to make sure everything went smoothly for Iona and their little ones.

Some hours later Iona and Twilight became the proud parents of a baby girl dragon and a baby boy dragon!

After 40 days, the babies were old enough to travel. Iona and Twilight wanted to show them to Pixie and the other dragons.
