Here are some general rules for all yaoi RPers to abide by. Any breaking of these rules will result in a warning and a possible banning (from the thread or guild, depending on how serious it is. If it is SUPER serious, you will be reported). After three warnings you are banned from any yaoi RPing.
--No cybering. This is a given (since VQA has said this very explicitly). Cybering in going anywhere in detail in a relationship past PG13 stuff ("cyber sex"). Cuddling and kissing is fine, but keep it descent, alright folks? If it's an absolute must, take it to PMs or AIM or something. Andy cybering will result in an instant ban from the thread and, depending on how serious, a ban from the guild. As stated before, if it is SUPER SERIOUS, you will be reported with out warning.
--Keep everything PG13. Just stating to enforce this. If you're in a situation where a character has to cuss anything worse than PG13, please use asterics (these things --> ***) or some other notation so that the word is not fully spelled out, but we know what it is. If it is REALLY bad, also type it (with the asterics) in white with a warning in RED.
--No godmodding. This is when people take control of other people charscters (for instance, if there were to be a fight scene, if one person made all the decisions and made their character all-powerful with no chance for the other person's char, that would be god modding). It's annoying.
--Please be litterate unless designated otherwise. THis means you need to type out your words. Typos and mispellings are acceptable (after all, we're all human) but PLEASE type it all out. Write like how books are written - no asterics or anything else to denote actions. Here are some examples for how to RP litterately:
Using double quotations to denote speach - "I... I'm sorry..." he mumbled shyly.
Using single quotations and/or italics to denote thoughts - He frowned and furrowed his brow softly. 'I just... I don't understand that guy!!!'
Using the litterate tense (AKA the past tense) - The boy GOT up and fumblED in his bag. After several minutes of irritatED search, he finally succeedED in pulling out his small notebook. Smiling happily, he flippED through the pages until he FOUND the right page.
An example on a non-litterate post - hi guyz howr u im new can u sho me arund?? *waves*
What's wrong with this? THere are no quotations designating speach, the action is designated with atserics instead of being types out and described, this post has made no attempt to be litterate in spelling or format. It lacks punctuation and capitalization and is, over all, a grammatical eye-sore. Please don't make posts like this or I will have to get out my Grammar Hammer.
--Please be as descriptive as possible. NO ONE LINERS. Please try to AT LEAST post three or four sentances, minimum. Some ideas for descriptions are - thoughts and feelings, first impressions, how something looks, smells, sounds, feels (etc.). Some depth would be appriciated. <3
--Please designate all Out Of Character (OOC) posts with double quotations (()) or some other way that lets us know that it is not the RP post.
--Have fun. Otherwise, what is the point?
--Be open-minded (this should go with out saying xD ).
--Obey all guild and Gaia rules.
--Please post IN THIS THREAD "I will be a good child and follow these rules because I fear the wrath of Mie" along with your FAVORITE COLOR to let me know that you have read this. =3
