 A mile or so away from scenic Nitemare Springs lies a run-down looking shack. The outside of the shack looks decayed so badly that it seems to be ready to crumble. The front door bears the fading kanji symbol of "Shadow". Beyond the front door, the house is immaculately maintained, looking as though it belongs in the village, rather than just at the outskirts. The walls bear pictureframes with different and seemingly meaningless kanji symbols in them. The same symbols adorn the wooden molding along the white walls, the doorknobs on all the doors, the fringes of the furniture, and everything else just out of the way of where people would normally look. All the rooms remain open at all times, even the armory, which contains many different weapons.

Tohru walks up the three steps to his front door and opens it. As he vanishes behind it, a faint kanji appears on it's blank surface, meaning that someone is now in the house. The door clicks shut, and another character appears on the doorknob. Tohru discards his belongings to the side of the entry room and continues inside.

Imari stealthily followed him to his home. 'Hmm....' she thought. 'Pretty wronchy place he lives in.' She then climbed softly through a window, landed on the floor like a feather, and looked around, amazed. It was pretty well-kept for something that looked horrid on the outside.

Tohru looked around his home. The moulding bore kanji script. The pictures bore kanji script. The windows, corners of the walls, and the fringes of the carpet all bore kanji, all of which had seemingly no meaning. But in looking at it, Tohru smirked. He strided over to his storage room door, turned around, and leaned against it.

She heard a little thumb and walked towards the door. She tried to open it - it was almost like someone was pushing the door and keeping her from getting out. She pounded on the door a couple times and yelled "Let me out!!" a couple times.

Tohru's eyes widened. "Imari!" He quickly stepped away from the door so she could open it, watching the kanji cautiously. After all, it could be someone sounding like his friend.

Imari opened the door, looking a little disgusted. "Thank you for locking me in there, Tohru...." she said, a little sarcastically.

"And thank you for barging into my house without my permission," Tohru said in an attempt to remind the wolf-girl that she was a trespasser. He looked at the Imari coldly, arms crossed, brow furrowed.

Imari's fur ruffled a little, showing her annoyance with him. "I followed you because I wanted to know where you were going! Sheesh..."

"You could have knocked on the front door," He replied as he turned away. 'I'm headed to bed. If you want to stay, the guest bedroom's across the hall from mine..." With that, Tohru headed off for bed.

After a few hours of sleep, Tohru rolled out of bed. As he stood up straight, his back cracked loudly, multiple times. He walked across the cool wooden floor and cracked his door open to look at Imari's side of the hall.

Tohru smiled a little. Despite her attitude, Imari was kinda cute. Even his cold heart felt a little bit warmed watching her. He turned around and shut his door silently, figuring that he'd wait for her to wake up before he actually got up.

Imari yawned and got up a couple hours later, then walked outside her room and wandered around softly, as to not wake up Tohru, whom she thought was sleeping.
