The Characters:

Gene Starwind- The protagonist of the story. Im not saying "hero" because he's not a good role model... He drinks, (smokes?), is a lech, money grubbing, in debt little weenie of a man. but he's oh so cool. cool

Jim- Gene's trusty sidekick. he's some genius little kid (12ish?) that KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE A CAR. eek it's a wonder he can see over the dashboard. He's Gene's conscience in most cases, but like any good conscience, is often ignored. he's a mechanic so he mostly takes care of those odd fixing jobs and takes maintenance on their ship the Outlaw Star.

Melfina- Weird contortionist girl. For some *UNKNOWN* reason, she's been locked in a tiny suitcase and left to defrost on her own time. She's the female protagonist of the story and Gene kinda promises her to help get her memory back/find out what/ who she is blah blah blah... But it's not like those boring ones, i assure you. whee Did i mention she floats in an aquarium naked throughout a lot of the show?

Aisha- Cat-girl-monster...thing. Super-human strength and a bottomless stomach. something to do with the moon... she's a tagalong and the source of a lot of humour in the show. At first she wants to kill Gene but y'know how these things work out... xd

Suzuka- samurai warrior chick. she's got a sword. she's quiet most of the time. why is she even in the show??? gonk because Gene needs his ladies of course. cool

Gilliam- the Outlaw Star's main computer. he's an AI but sarcastic in his own way. Funny thing is that he doesn't mean to be. His "form" is usually a disembodied vioce that talks to them all and gives them instructions. But most "rest" times, he's stuck in something that looks like a soda can with big eyeballs that moves around on paths on the ceiling. Jim gets tired of trying to figure out which one is the "head" gilliam so he makes that soda can-guy pink. xd

There are other characters that are super fun too. surprised i especially like Fred- the gay guy in love with gene (and Jim...eew...)


It's about an outlaw - he's not quite evil, but not quite good either. But in this case he's the hero so he must be the "good guy". rolleyes anyway... It chronicles his story from when he met this girl locked in a box and got a super space ship. Did i mention he has an acute fear of flying during the first few episodes? And he's a gay guy's fantasy? And the target of many a revenge? anyway... he's something like a space bounty hunter and runs around the galaxy capturing evildoers, winning intergalactic races, attracting the ladies, being sent to prison, trying to hunt down his father's killer all while trying to stave off a bunch of powerful vengeful pirates? surprised

Outlaw star is also very funny at times. whee

watch it!! (honestly do you HAVE any reason NOT to watch ANY anime??!?)

not too sure. i watched it oh so long ago. gonk I'd say about the same as FMA... maybe a little shorter. so...less than 50 epp? neutral

and anything longer than 3 is just silly. (DIE RANMA AND INUYAHSA. DIE A HORRIBLE, PAINFUL, SEASON-SHORTENING DEATH)

we should make an "inuyasha hater's" guild. surprised

well now you know what you can quest for afterwards. mrgreen (technically i have enouh gold to buy like...5 guilds but i don't really want them THAT bad. I mean, one place to hang out...blah blah some, ha ha some, you know. xp )
