How did you hear about Radiohead?

My dad, even though I rather dislike him, has been listening to ********, since I was like, 4.

So I picked it up from him.

I loved Let Down when I was a kid.

I remember dancing around to it in the backyard while my dad was in his studio painting (Don't ask how you can dance to Let Down. I'm pretty sure it was some form of interpretive dance.).

I heard Karma Police and Optimistic on the radio and I got interested. I looked them up on Pitchfork and saw that Kid A and OK Computer both scored perfect 10's. A few months after I bought Ok Computer and Kid A. I immediately fell in love with Radiohead after hearing Airbag. I loved OK Computer, I didn't feel the same way about Kid A. But yeah, my fandom began and I must have listened to Radiohead over 5000 times in my lifetime since then.

I got introduced to Radiohead by my brother. He's been playing Radiohead for years and years on our surround sound, so the very songs are BURNED into my brain. Not that I'm complaining. heart

My dad had a few songs downloaded on our computer. I listened to them out of curiosity, and being the lonely wallflower I was I fell in love with the accoustic "Creep". I bought "OK Computer" first and fell in love with it right away, and listened to it until the CD wore out.

uh well I was always interested in the music my sister listens to.
She listens to like Beck, Bjork, The Dismemberment Plan, Green Day, Offspring, David Bowie, and Radiohead, and like all this s**t thats just kinda.. out there.
So I was looking through her CDs, and I saw the amnesiac CD, and so I thought, hey cool, Radiohead, I've wanted to listen to them...
so I sit down for like an hour, listen to the CD, fall in love, then I went and stole all her Radiohead music from iTunes (OK Computer and Kid A, but I also have Hail To The Theif), cuz I dunno where she keeps her CDs.
And I have yet to return Amnesiac.... I did the same thing with Emena of The State too >.<;
the end.

I was eleven (that's when you were four, Chachamaru, holy crap) and I fell in love with "Creep," and the rest is history.

It's actually kind of a crying story, how I fell in love with that song. It was Thanksgiving day and I came down with the chicken pox at my grandma's! Everyone else was outside totally having a fete and eating, and there I was cooped up in the guest bedroom with a fever, chills, itchy bumps all over my body, and no appetite. I was listening to the radio and "Creep" came on and I just started crying.

Imagine that, a chicken-pox-riddled 11-year-old sobbing and moping like a little wiener, going, "I WANT A PERFECT BO-DY-Y-Y . . . I'M A WEIRDO-O-O . . ."

And so about a year after that "Paranoid Android" was all over MTV, and my friend bought the OK Computer tape (all right, I don't know if you young'ns remember these cassette-tape things) and we used to listen to it non-stop in her room.

Oh yeah. Radiohead 4 lyfe.

Never!! Haha. I'll always have my CDs and I'll always keep my players!

It's like Jackie Brown, how she doesn't really want to buy any CDs because she doesn't listen to any new music and would just be re-buying her records if she got a CD player.

21, actually.

Oh it makes my heart swell with joy that there are 14-year-olds who like Radiohead instead of that studded-belt BS.

My BEST friend introduced me to them and I can't thank her enough...pretty much the best gift anyone could give you is a favorite band that will provide you with hours of conversation topics! mrgreen ...yeah
