Far from perfect
Far from saintly
A little reject
Smiles so faintly
She stands in shadows, stands so quiet
And no one knows of the riot
Inside her soul, inside her mind
She figures no one will find
Her in all her beauty, in all her glory
This is her life, this is her story
She sings a song, sighs a breath
Breathes in air, and exhales death
Far from perfect
Far from saintly
A little reject
Smiles so faintly
She holds her hands, in her pockets
She holds her thoughts, hopes none will mock it
Her truth is locked, locked in so deep
Only spoken when she's asleep
Maybe then, she will be relieved
Maybe then, she will be believed
She sings a song, coos a tune
As she stares at tonight's moon
Far from perfect
Far from saintly
A little reject
Smiles so faintly
