I didn't think it'd be worth it to make a thread dedicated to one certain couple, so I made a pairings thread here...You can still use the other one Melissa (Fadork) made but this is for in-depth debates and discussions.
Rules for the pairing thread -
1. Don't bash a pairing. If you don't like it, you can say so, but don't go saying: Oh my god, they are SUCH opposites, you must be on crack or: EW YAOI/YURI YOU'RE A PERVERT!
2. Debate, don't argue. Don't start yelling at someone for having their own opinion. And if they say something along the lines of: I'd rather not debate this anymore, I have my opinion, you have yours, let it go.
3. Try not to get off topic. I understand the occasional random comment, but pairings are so fun to talk about! REMEMBER: EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINIONS. RESPECT THEM.That is all. ;D

Well, here I go. This is gonna be nice and long, I hope you have some extra time on your hands...I'm quite proud of this, actually.
Hemhem.
Comparing and contrasting: Sasuke, the cold-hearted jerk that would kill his best friend just to become stronger.
Sakura, the pink haired nin with a pleasant personality, a need to be stronger, and a strength hidden far deep.
Anyone notice major differences? I sure do.
Argument towards this: Opposites attract
Reply: That's a law for physics, not love.
Anti SasuSaku Moments Turned SasuSaku
Sakura and Naruto's 'Kiss' - Episode Three - How is this a SasuSaku moment? If anything, it's a NaruSaku moment revised. And an anti SasuSaku moment.
Episode Three - Sasuke snaps at Sakura for her cruelty to Naruto- Not a SasuSaku moment. If anything a SasuNaru (FRIENDSHIP) moment and part of Sakura's character development.
Mist Arc - Sasuke Saves Sakura from Mist Nin- Not a SasuSaku moment - a friendship moment. What would Sasuke do, let Sakura die? Kakashi and Naruto would have done the same.
Edit; Mist Arc - Sasuke's Alive - Making this into a SasuSaku moment is very simple, but truthfully, it's another one-sided thing. When Sasuke wakes up, he says: "Sakura, you're heavy." and she hugs him. People seem to think this as a SasuSaku moment, when, truthfully, it's a one-sided moment, or even just a friendship moment. Sakura AND Naruto cried over him - he's a good friend.
Chuunin Exams Entrance - Sasuke lets Sakura tell them that she knows they're on the wrong floor, and he winks at her. Another friendship moment, he notices she's not been herself and tries to cheer her up.
Chuunin Exams - Forest of Death I- After Sasuke gets bitten by Orochimaru and Sakura holds him. AGAIN, not a SasuSaku moment, a one-sided moment at the least. Or a friendship moment, when she wants to protect him.
Chuunin Exams - Forest of Death II - Sakura cuts her hair to protect Sasuke, Naruto, and Lee. This is not a SasuSaku moment, but more of a symbol that she's getting over him. Her hair was one of the things that tied her to Sasuke. It's gone. Edit;She was also trying to protect NARUTO AND LEE. Not just Sasuke.
Chuunin Exams - Forest of Death III - Sasuke becomes concious and says: Sakura, point to the ones who put you in that state. Not a SasuSaku moment. Yet another development moment between Sakura and Sasuke - Sasuke has gained new powers, and wishes to test them out. He wants to help Sakura, his friend, at the same time.
Edit; Chuunin Exams - Primary Rouds - Sakura threatens to tell the teachers about the curse mark because she's afraid Sasuke will get hurt. Sasuke grabs her wrist and tells her to shut up, because he wants to continue the exams. Not a SasuSaku moment. Sakura wants to protect Sasuke. He doesn't care. One-sided, yet again.
Sasuke's Leaving - Sakura catches up with Sasuke and begs him to stay, or to at least let her come with him. yet another one-sided moment, where she'd go anything to protect him. She admits his love for him, he accepts it, but does not return it, leaving her alone to cry.
Post-Time-Skip - Sasuke's Return - When Sasuke returns, he sees Sakura. "It's...Sakura." are his words. Not "Sakura!" or "Oh my god, it's Sakura!" Just "It's...Sakura." Later, Sakura threatens to beat him up. :/ Over him or not?
Post-Time-Skip - Sakura's Flirtation - A bit off the SasuSaku 'moments' turned to NaruSaku moments. Sakura's flirting with Naruto is a bit heavy, yet he's completely oblivious. She would never do this around Sasuke, or when she was 'in love' with him. Edit;She also goes on a date with Naruto, which she would not have done if Sasuke was still so very close in her mind.
SasuSaku - Ruining the Team, More Drabble on Naruto Being Left Behind- As said before, Naruto is a shonen manga, based around friendship and rivalry. (Ex. Sasuke and Naruto, Ino and Sakura, Naruto and Sakura, Sakura and Sasuke, Kakashi and Gai, Lee and Neji, etc. etc..) If you put Sasuke and Sakura, two of the main characters, together, what happens to Naruto? He's left behind, left without anyone. (I don't want to hear about NaruHina, this is not a NaruHina discussion, but a sasusaku). No one seems to notice Naruto's feelings, and how this would rip Team Seven apart. Don't forget Kakashi or Sai, either! They're an important part of this team - if SasuSaku becomes canon, what happens to Sai? What will he do with the team member back, will he leave his friends who helped discover his true smile? And Kakashi has tried to deal with this before, and now he'll have to work hard to keep Naruto from losing himself. So, all in all, where does this help anything?

I don't consider that a SasuSaku moment nor a NaruSaku moment. Sakura thought it was Sasuke the one who she was going to kiss. Naruto was transformed as Sasuke so he was going to kiss Sakura.
