So... it got cold. Simply put.
I live in Canada, and there is like... six inches of snow currently on the ground. It's windy and freezing. Now, normally I wouldn't even think of getting piercings in the winter because it hurts enough when you bump a new piercing when it's warm, I shudder to think of what it would be like in the cold.
BUT I have no feeling in my ear, so I decided to go along with it anyways.
Now I've noticed something very odd... the skin around the piercing is peeling away. I'm thinking (because this has never happened before) that it's because of the cold, plus the fact that the skin hasn't healed yet (for those of you who're going to say it's that oil that I've started using: No, it's not... it hasnt made anything else dry or peeling). But this is wierd. It's also happening around another piercing that recently got infected, but none of my others. O_o
So... anyone know if this is normal? Does it happen to anyone else?

Sorry for the late reply.
I had that on my belly button. It peels when I'm due on for some reason. My piercer said its normal, and that the piercing should 'grow out of it' in a few months. My piercing is gonna be all growed up. xd heart

I'd think it was caused from dry air? I live in canada too, and it can get pretty dry. And skin takes the damage. And it would be pretty dry in the winter eh?
