She had nesteled inside the branches of a tree, trying to get comfortable. She always graced the roots in the ground with her warmth, and wanted to share with the tree branches. Good idea, right? Wrong.. a yuma was much to large to try and perch in tree branches. Good thing the apple tree was sturdy from age. She wasn't stiring to much, but the blossoms were disturbed, and falling below her. She glanced down and noticed an oddly familar leaf phoenix. Had she meet her before? She couldn't quite remember.

 Aaliyah(y) lay beneath the blossoming tree, she wasn't exactly sure when the petals had begun to fall, only that now they were tickling her nose and disturbing her lovely nap. She sneezed and moved to a more upright position, still laying upon the ground, her legs tucked beneath her and her wings folded gently against her side. She swished her two tails and glanced up. She stared for a moment, the creature she saw looked oddly familiar, had she seen this being before? In fact it looked much like an earthly yuma she had met once, a long time ago.

Gaia (Y)
One of her feet popped out from underneath it's uncomfortable resting place and snaped a small branch in it's path. "Ooh.." she said in a bothered tone. She watched the small branch float down beside the phoenix. "This poor old guy must think ill of me, I'm sure." She of course was refering to the tree. She lifted her head to the sky and in a bolt, shot through the branchs, disapearing into the sky.
She flew above the tree and then looked for a place to land. The forest wasn't known to yeild much landing space to any winged yumahou. She turned to the side, and found a small clearing to glide into. She landed on the ground with a couple of steps, and then stood a few feet from the tree that she had been in.

Aaliyah(y) snorted and stepped back, trying not to look startled as the small branch fell, bouncing off her feathers and onto the ground in front of her. She glanced back up with a frown. What kind of horrible creature could do this to a perfectly healthy and young tree, surely not the yuma she had met all those years ago.
She watched the leaves rustle an then go silent, whatever had been there a moment ago was now gone. She pawed a bit at the grass, removing a few stones so the grass could grow better. It felt so peaceful here now, but it wasn't to remain that way.
The sound of wings and hooves touching down on the earth, brough Aaliyah spinning around on her haunches, her ear flat against her head. But what she saw made her lighten up, she was almost certain that this was the yuma she had once known, if only for a short time.

Gaia (Y) squinted her eyes in a happy fashion and smiled warmly to her friend. "Hello there." she said as she tilted her head to the side. Opening her eyes, she took a couple of steps closer. "Aaliyah was it?" she questioned, but hadn't forgotten. "So nice to meet you again." came her friendly voice with a polite bow.
Swishing her tail to and fro, she placed her wings at her side and smiled again. Gaia was always happy for the most part, but happiness is always greater in the presence of friends. Her aura was glowing.

Aaliyah(y) smiled, swishing her tails in a welcoming manner. She nodded at the mention of her name, pleased that this yuma had remember it. "Hello Gaia, it's wonderful to see you again." she said. It was strange, she wasn't usually this friendly, especially to a yuma that was not a pheonix, but for some reason she just seemed to click with this mare.
"What brings you here?" she questioned stepping a bit closer, ruffling her feathers a bit, just to feel more comfortable, if that were even possible. She felt so at ease at this moment, Gaia just seemed to bring her peace.

She squinted her eyes as she tilted her head just a bit and smiled. Opening her eyes, she began to speak with a blossoming voice. "You can see over there.." she motioned to a large glade. A group of nine yuma could easily be spotted, if Aaliyah looked close enough, she might even catch sight of the couple that stayed distant. "my herd and my family." One could easily sense how proud she was when she said these words, for she was quite proud of her herd. She cared a great deal for each and every one. "We came here for the ever green grass." For most places were covered with snow this time of year. This area was a spot that stayed slightly warmer than the rest.
She laughed. "That poor old tree must have mistaken me, for a silly fat bird. I thought I'd keep him warm, but it appears I underestimated my ability to perch." The thought of her being an over sized bird humored her.

Aaliyah smiled back laugher in her eyes. "Well perhaps you're a bit to big for this old tree. It's not as young and sterdy as it once was." she said with a chuckle, looking over at Gaia's herd. "You have a lovely herd Gaia. They seem so lively and carefree." she said.
She glanced at the butterflies that always seemed to swarm around Gaia, it was interesting. "Are these your friends?" she questioned with a friendly air, her smile widening as her eyes continued to twinkle with delight.

"Why yes, they are some of my closest friends. I seem to attract a new flitting friend here and there, but these are my truest followers." She leaned her nose out as the bright blue one came to her nose. She whispered to it in the softest of tones, almost not audible to the yumahou ear. The butterfly seemed to get a burst of energy in response and then flitted over to Aaliyah. It hovered over her face and danced it's wings around in excitement. Gaia let out a warm, gentle laugh.
