The date is July 4 2525, earthlings watch their televisions and their eyes are turned toward the skies. It's the launch date for the first expedition into space the earthling plan to build a space station on mars to allow them better access to space...

Shortly after the launch there is a loud earth shaking explosion. An alien vessel has crash landed on Mars. The mission immediantly changes...

He winced inside the flight helmet as the G's pressed against his frame,No matter how many times he flew in atmospheric flight G forces always got to him,the ship shuderred as he passed into the planets atmosphere getting a chime and cold neutral voice in his helmets speaker that he was now fully within planetary atmosphere,he killed the Star Razor sublight engine thrusters and closed the throttle killing speed.Mars....it was...Interesting,here he was the first person to actually enter it's atmosphere and it was...interesting.He was a fighter,though he knew how deep a moment it was he couldn't think about it at the moment,he had a job to do.The expedition Science vessel would arrive in under two hours and by then they had to have a Landing site picked out for it,Behind him followed his flight of six fighters,the spear tip of the fleet"Split up and scope it out,go in groups of two and see if we can find the welcome mat boys"They jetted off into the groups dissapearing into the horizon,his wingman,HellHawk kept a good 50 miles break between them allowing each to cover as much ground as they could.He clicked on the sensors array and watched the small pop up screen in his helmet as he flew over the endless canyons below"White Phoenix do you copy over?""Roger HellHawk what've you got?""Sensors are showing energy readings that are off the chart and mineral composositions that I've never seen before,it's coming up ahead of us just out of this canyon"He nodded,could that be the source of the explosion they had detected?"Roger that,let's check it out"

Dexas climbed into the tear looking around at the damage and destruction,No lights were on,activating the flashlight on his Assault rifle he advanced down the blood splattered hull'Never a good sign'He thought,coming up to a door,no handle or keypad...motion sensed perhaps?He cautiously advanced down a second corridor away from the door'Your looking good colonel,no sign of contacts near your position.....'The pilots voiced squawked in..He stopped and turned suddenly swearing he had heard the scuttle of something moving..After a bit he turned back and walked on careful not to touch anything..he found another door and this one did open,inside though was a image of sheer carnage,remants of bodies littered the floor and walls,looks of horror dotted each face that was still intact,from the looks of it three crewman had barricaded themselves in here..but it hadn't done much good,he couldn't tell alot but he knew all he needed to know'Sergeant Oroarke come in"He said stepping back into the hull,there was another noise this one closer'Sir?Do you copy?I can't read you...your..bre-....eat that again?'"This place is not secure,hostile lifeforms may still be in area I'm pulling back now do you copy?Oroake!Answer me damnit!"'Sir?-C...pi.....opy?"the radio was breaking up,a loud hum broke the silence and he turned raising the rifle moving to the side of the door,what ever came out was in for a surprise...

Th sudden voice in his head almost made him drop the rifle and grab his head,it hadn't been painful...well very painful...He opened his eyes slowly keeping his rifle aimed for the base of her neck"Who are you?What faction are you with?And what is the Celestene and this thing called a S-"That question answered itself promptly.Above them came the bang of a Vent cover being torn off and what looked like a Spider hopped down for his face,he raised the rifle as a barrier,the thing hit it and almost knocked him off balance,it's tail snaked around his throat attempting to strangle him as he dropped the rifle and grabbed it's legs,the creatures claws were dragging along his skin trying to find purchase...if he didn't know better it was almost like the damn thing was trying to hug his face,he was gasping for air feeling his strength begin to wane,if he didn't do something now he was a dead man.Working a hand in to push it back he reached down as it tightened around his neck and drew his knife and brought it up plunging it through and pinning it to the wall,free to use both hands he tore it's tail from around his neck and stepped backwards doubled over trying to breathe,damn the thing had a grip,looking over at the woman he saw she had picked up his rifle and was now aiming it at him....
