A short time ago, an oasis formed in the center of the village, bringing relief of the drout that was plauging them. The village elders say it was a gift from the previous leader, and a giant statue of Gaara of the Desert was erected, made from actual sand from Gaara's gourd. There is a small baazar in the square, with shady old men selling knockoff equiptment to travelers.

*ties her headband around her neck and puts on a light cloak* Being a kage isn't as fun as it sounds. Stupid paperwork, cheap-a** Daimyo, I need a vacation. *goes to the statue near the oasis to meditate* ((even though she's listening to a book on tape version of Icha Icha Paradise through tiny headphones)) Maybe if I had an asistant I could go to Sound Village or something. I heard it's humid down there, but it beats the desert. *walks around the market place looking for something to eat, and stops at a stand with pork buns* Here...I'd like as many as this can get me, *puts down a small money bag filled with yen and ryo, and takes the paper bag from the old woman* These are good...*she walks about a half a mile to the cliffs and climbs up on one of the large boulders to finish her meal*

Kaano runs at Akusano, his fuuma shuriken wrapped gently around his right arm so he could launch it when needed. As he got closer, he swung forward and let lose, causing the shuriken to spin forward toward his puppet. Akusano quickly placed his fingers together and appeared behind Kaano, his left arm quickly swinging in toward his head. Kaano quickly ducked and proceeded with an uppercut toward Akusano's chest. He impacted, sending Akusano about three feet into the air. The puppet came back down, hitting right on his knees and falling to the ground. Kaano looked down at Akusano and was about to speak when he suddenly felt his insides twist. He clutched his stomach and keeled over, coughing up blood. Wow...I must have hit you hard Akusano, because it's been a long time since I've felt pain like that when you had been hit... Akusano turned his head upward and gazed up the cliff that they had been fighting near. Yeah...I know...you must be getting stronger if you could hurt me that badly... Akusano got up, his body hunched over a little bit. He kept looking up to the top of the cliff, trying to get his eyes completely focused to it. Hey...I think someone is at the top of that cliff, want to go see who it is? Kaano looked up to, Akusano had quickly spiked his interest with this one. He liked to meet new people, even if it wasn't easy for him to talk to them. He got up and put his arms down to his sides. He wasn't thinking about the pain at all anymore, and it had gone away about as quickly as it had come. Yes...that does sound like a good idea...let's go. He grabbed on to Akusano's shoulder and swung himself up onto his back. Akusano then held out his arm, aiming it for about a fourth of the way up the cliff. He opened up his palm and fired, the kunai held within shooting outward toward the wall, the wire attached to it. The kunai impacted the wall and stuck fast. Akusano swung around his hand and grabbed hold of the wire, tugging to make sure it would be safe. He then let go of the wire and flicked out his wrist a little bit, causing the wire to retract. The wire held and carried the mass of both bodies toward the cliff. They reached their destination quickly, finding themselves dangling about 50 feet into the air. Akusano then opened up his other hand and aimed away from the cliff. He shot out the wire and swung his arm in a semi-circle, causing the wire to loop up over the top of the cliff and go in between two branches. He retracted the wire a little bit to let the kunai fasten into place. Ok Kaano, you know what to do... Kaano crawled up Akusano's back the rest of the way and stood on his shoulder. He then grabbed on to the wire and proceed to climb up the cliff as though he were a mountain climber.

((I don't like writing *like this* it annoys me))
"Hmmm...I'm not alone up here," she said, crumpling up the paper bag and putting it in her pocket. A young boy, maybe 2 or 3 years younger than her was climbing the face of the cliff, she saw, then noticed another figure, this one not very human-like. "I don't think I've seen you around here before," she said, offering the two a hand, "you're a sand shinobi, right?" She motioned to the headband tied around the boy's upper arm. "Pleased to meet you, my name is Yuri." she smiled, thankful that she had rolled up her cloak with the wind symbol on it and put it inside her bag, as she felt akward walking around town with it on. The kazekage was supposed to be a great and powerful leader, so people seemed surprised that a scrawny teenage girl was the new leader of their village. When she looked the two over again, she noticed that the larger one was not a human. "Oh! A puppet! That's cool. There's a man from the village named Kankuro who wanders back here sometimes, and I've heard he's one of the best around right now. Have you heard of him?"

((nor do i...which is why i never do it lol))
Kaano took the girl's hand and climbed up onto the top of the cliff, closely followed by Akusano. He started looking her over, not finding anything strange about her except for that she almost seemed to have a little too proper of a casual stance to be anything as low as him in rank. She started talking, but he couldn't hear anything she was saying, so he decided to try and read her lips. He had become quite good at it, but he still couldn't make out words that are spoken at a high rate of speed. Luckily she was only talking at about a medium rate, so he could understand her quite well. The only thing he had to make fully sure on was what she had said her name was. Why yes, I have heard of him, although I have never met him. My name is Kaano, and my puppet's name is Akusano. You said your name was Yuri? I'm sorry if I got it wrong, I can't hear nor speak, so I had to read your lips. I formed a pact with my puppet to increase my chakra flow, and I lost my hearing because of it. I can still sort of speak, I just try not to because I'm not fully sure what I would say, chances are that it wouldn't be what I meant to say though. Yes, I am a sand shinobi. I am a genin. He turned around and watched as Akusano was attempting to get his kunai out of the tree. The puppet tried everything he could until he eventually gave up on trying to just simply loop it out and decided to use force. He went behind a rock and fastened himself to it, just to make sure he didn't lose his ground. He then started reeling in the wire and slowly pulled his arm back. The tree started to bend, but wouldn't give out. Akusano started to get fed up and just ripped his arm backward, causing the roots of the tree to come out of the ground. He then started reeling in the wire again and forced the tree to fall over the rest of the way. Kaano simply smiled at how stupid his puppet could sometimes be, and turned back around. Anyway...what rank are you? You seem a little too proper to be a genin like me...and your eyes show quite a bit of experience. you must be pretty good...a lot better than me at least.

Yuri stared at the boy for a few seconds, her eyes glazed over with stupidity. "Um...okay then..." She walked around the boy in a circle, making sure he wasn't an acid induced hallucination, but stopped when she noticed the markings on his ears. "Those symbols around your ears, and the way your puppet behaves, it's amazing. You formed a pact with...Akusano, was it? I sorta understand you, I've had conversations like this before, as weird as that seems. I'm just happy I'm not hearing voices again." she smiled, relieved to not be going insane. "I guess I should tell you, I'm the kazekage."

Kaano continued watching her mouth and the way she was talking, thinking more and more that if she were in no other way great, she would at least be very intelligent. He smiled as the last words came out of her mouth, feeling achievement in the fact that he was actually sort of right. You are the Kazekage of the sand village? Amazing...I had expected someone older, but I believe you. You don't seem to be lying, and I guess it's just a little too unexpected to actually be false. Kaano turned around and walked over to a rock to sit down on it. As he did, Akusano walked up to Yuri, ready to ask some questions of his own. So...what are you doing here? I'm surprised to see the Kazekage in such an open area.

Satoshi stared out of his apartment looking around the near deserted village. There have been fewer and fewer nin around. Before we know it, all that is going to be left is those poor inadequate losers. His glance wavered over to a group of peons that spent their days at the marketplace. Look at them, wasting away their meaningless existances squandering the marketplace for a little bit of money.
Satoshi had changed since early childhood. He was once a perfectly obedient child. One that followed the rules, and did nothing that he wanted. He merely followed the orders of others. Then came his near death experience when he melded with his father. He didn't know about this, and since no one really knew what happened, his father was merely pronounced dead of unknown causes. His mother died over the emotional trauma of his father's death, and was left to fend for himself. It had never really bothered him, and he hadn't known the difference. He remembered his parents, and he remembered what he had been told about his uncle, who was supposedly a great member of some village. Other than that, however, his childhood was a blur.
Since then, Satoshi had become a more self reliant, carefree person. One that did what he wanted when he wanted. As his vision wandered away from the ruleabiding peons, three figures on a cliff caught his eye. He noticed what looked like two males, and one female. Ah, that'll go over well. The only thing that'll come of that is another worthless peon.
Instead of going over to interogate them, he walked back into his room and lay down on his bed. "I guess I should get to training, or talk to my sensei, but quite frankly I don't know where to go, or who to talk to. Oh well." With that he flopped back onto his bed, staring at the ceiling. Every few moments, he would glance outside to see if the individuals had begun what happened so many times on the cliff outside of his apartment.
{Yes, the it is what you think it is. Oh and Yu-chan! I really think the picture you had previously would better suit a Kazekage...I understand wanting a shy looking girl, but with the aggression Sunagakure often shows, a more aggressive leader would definately be better. But that's my opinion...Just thought I'd say it...{{Plus the other one looked closer to 19}}}

Satoshi opened his eyes abruptly, glancing about his room out of habit. Damn, I must've fell asleep. He sat upright, again looking about his room for any signs of anything that was out of place. Seeing nothing, he patted himself down to make sure he still had his scrolls and kunai were still in place. He swiftly pulled back his sleeve, noting the shiny blue metal that inhabited his forearm. Good, everything's in place.
Then, without so much as a second thought, he walked over to the railing and leapt off, falling the two stories to the ground with relative ease. He had not been in the best physical condition as a child, but since his near death experience, that had changed as well. He didn't know why, but he wasn't about to fight it.

((I don't know...I actually like the new picture. The other one did have the age...but the new one actually looks more serious than the old one, and it looks like it's not willing to take any s**t (sorry for the swearing if it offends you in any way...). It's all in the eyes...they speak a lot about any person. But then again...I have no right to argue with someone's opinion...just thought I'd throw mine out there too lol...))

{Argue with my opinion if you wish, it matters not to me, nor does the swearing...The new pic does have the seriousness...You know, it doesn't matter what I think anyway...It's her picture, not mine^_^}

((I just thought it looked cuter. ^^ On the contrary, she is really aggresive and energetic, and she has a bipolar disorder, which explains the crazy.))
She gave the puppet a slightly odd look, as if checking to see if she wasn't hallucinating, then smiled. "Well, I don't really like being stuck in an office all day, so I figured I'd look around a bit. I haven't had time just to slack off since I became kage. It sucks really. Besides, I can hold my own in a fight, ya know." She started running towards the edge of the cliff, swifty jumped, and did what looked like a jack knife before landing in a crouched postion at the bottom of the cliff. "Heheheh, that was fun!" she called up to the two, "You should really try it! Hurry, I wanna show you guys this one place!"
((Heheheheh...Satoshi is a perveeeert! heart ))

{Sure am... wink }
Satoshi began to walk on, making his way through the alleys behind his house weaving in and out. He wasn't quite sure where he was supposed to meet the one that was to be training him, but he knew the general area. He picked up speed dashing through the alleys, hoping to get there before he was way to late.

"Come on, try to catch me!" she giggled, running back into the village. She weaved in and out of the alleys, occasionally stopping to wait for Kaano and Akusano. She had looked behind her to see where they were when she bumped into another boy and flew backwards. "Oh, sorry!" she said, dizzy, "I'm a klutz."

Kabuto kept his pace, occasionally gaining a little speed. Soon after his speed was at it's greatest, something caught the corner of his eye. Before he could react, a body came hurling into him, knocking him off balance and into the wall. He clipped his shoulder on the wall, causing him to spin, tripping and falling backwards, completing many a flip before finally coming to rest on his face.
"Ugh..."
