Here members can make suggestions to the specific features that should be included in the stickies and what should be taken into special account. At the moment I have decided based on some member feedback that the guild is the first priority. I need everyone's input on what needs to be what. I really want to make the guild running smoothly soon. First I think we need to organize what needs to be in the guild most importantly. Also, the definition of asexuality can be discussed here. This is the center point of ideas, and I will take everything that is said in here into account.
Topics:
- Guild Duties - Stickies - Thread Rules & Rules about Asexuality Guild in general (tweaking what I will put up) - What thread topics are allowed - Acitivites and contests inside the guild - Anything you can come up with about the guild - Inviting potential members
Nironia
And make nice. S'all I'm asking.

Guild duties: asexuality news, links to ED, GD Stickies: rules, information, guild updates...yeah, we got this part down Thread rules and rules about asexuality guild: Gaian rules, plus no discrimination based on sexuality What thread topics are allowed: anything, asexuality encouraged Activities and contests: You could have this one contest where you take little snippets of pictures around Gaia and have people identify which ones are which. Winner to identify it first gets a prize. Anything I can come up with: Asexuality definition: A person who is indifferent toward sex.
So far, that's what I can come up with. Feel free to discuss.

We need:
- Set guidelines for mods so they don't go abusing anything - Set guidelines for guild members
You probably already have them both and I'm too lazy to check, but if you don't, that's what we need. XP

That reminds me, we should set guidelines on accepting members. I mean, do we just accept everyone that applies to the guild?

Illuminescence That reminds me, we should set guidelines on accepting members. I mean, do we just accept everyone that applies to the guild? I'll put that in the beginning posts for people who enter the guild. I accept people who: - Make an effort for at least a paragraph (more than four sentences), that is understandable. - dunte tlk liek8 th15 & d0nt seh 13t's all c7b3r! - I think would be beneficial to the guild in some fashion. - are interested in Asexuality (well of course! >.<) - want to learn more about themselves as asexuals, provide information to someone else who may be asexual, and/or learning more about a "new," developing sexuality. - have a convincing attitude of motivation to help and to participate. That's pretty much the basics. It depends on why the person wants to join of course, their views on the guild and asexuality, and sexual constraints (a.k.a. this is not a sex guild, but a sexuality guild.)

STICKY: If you want more people to post, sometimes an "Off Topic" random chat and general discussion thread, can work. It has worked quite well in the Roleplay Refuge (the other guild that I'm in, which has over 1000 members). Just a suggestion.

Just thought I'd submit a definition of asexual, I'm not knowledgeable about guilds generally so shan't attempt the other things. However, I shall submit more than one as I feel there is more than one definition of asexual, with many words in our language being ambiguous.
1. Possessing an absence of sexual attraction to all genders, irrespective of romantic attraction to either gender or aesthetic attraction, as well as the presence or lack thereof of a libido.
2. Not possessing an interest in sex or sexual behaviour.
3. Without sex, i.e. asexual reproduction.
Obviously number 1 is the most pertinent, with two also being relevant but a lesser used term, and 3 being an additional definition which is not relevant to the topic of the guild, unless there is discussion of the word's connotation which affects explanations to those unaware of asexuality.
Also, perhaps to include in the definition, an alternative term used in some places is 'nonsexuals', lesser used but made to attempt to avoid the divide-in-two connotations of 'asexual'.
Another possible suggestion is, once we are more well known, an alternative guild could be made where it is public as opposed to private, where people can ask about issues relating to asexuality and asexuals can answer. I understand members can do this, but the guild is currently private and making it public may make the guild far more susceptible to trolls and other troublemakers.

I like the first definition.
The second one is alright, but the word "interest" gets me. I'm not interested in having sex, but I sure make more than my fair share of jokes about it. My friend likes to show me things about sex and we both laugh about them all day long 'cause we're weird like that. By "interest", maybe you mean participation? I certainly don't want to participate in having sex. But we can see other members' opinions about this.
The third...I don't think there should be discussion here. Let's keep that to biology.
Ooh, but we do need to distinguish between nonsexual and asexual: the former is "not involving sex" while the latter is "indifferent to sex" or, by your definition, "absence of sexual attraction".
I would not want to have a secondary public guild. Obtaining one is not a problem; activity, on the other hand, is. I expect that the activity in the new public guild would be similar or close to the amount of activity in this guild. And if we did make one, what would we do there? Discuss asexuality...like we do here? To me, it seems like a case of making two where only one will suffice.
Of course, feel free to discuss. If everyone wants the new public guild to be a reality, I'll be happy to work with you all.

My apologies, I didn't make myself clear. I meant we should list all 3 definitions, although the 1st is by far the most pertinent to the topic of the guild. It would prevent smart-alec responses about 'no rofl it difides into too' and the suchlike, since there are indeed more than one different meaning to the word in question.
As for 'interest', I should have said an interest in sexual matters or participation. I still find it food for thought, for instance.
Point taken about the alternative guild, sorry.
As for the jokes, me and my brother are like that too, we throw innuendos around left, right and centre. At my college my nickname is f*** rat, to give you an idea.

There wouldn't be any smart-alecky responses. They'd have to join the guild first before they post.
And the crew and I handle join requests. That shan't be a problem.
I'll leave the "itnerest" part up for further discussion.

Oi. There has beena suggestion to add a chatterbox, where you guys can chat comfortably without worrying about relating to asexuality. You know, to wind down.
Sound good to you guys? Objections? Comments?

I think it would be a good idea, for lots of topics start off ok but then the conversation strays from the topic, and this may help with that.
