Alright, for those of you who dont know what backmasking is, its where when you play songs backwards it says stuff. Well lets talk about this. What do you think about songs with "satanic messeges" in them when played backwards? i.e. Stairway to Heaven. Do you think things like that are just coincidence? Songs backwards.

Foul Fiend Alright, for those of you who dont know what backmasking is, its where when you play songs backwards it says stuff. Well lets talk about this. What do you think about songs with "satanic messeges" in them when played backwards? i.e. Stairway to Heaven. Do you think things like that are just coincidence? Songs backwards.Sometimes its on purpose sometimes the message are just stretched a bit much and your mind can play tricks on you...thats why they show you the words on that thing or else on some you might not be able to intepret the "hidden" message. but yeah some are on purpose some aren't. Like the pokerap mone I don't hearsatan in it even reading the lyrics :/ I here "I~ *gibberish* I~ *gibberish*" >.<; I love the britney spears and weird Al ones though xD

Satanic messages aren't the only things played backwards in those records. The are pro government, Catholic, and sex messages too, and don't forget about the drugs! "Hit me baby, one more time," by Brittany Sprears says "Sleep with me Im not too young." It ain't just Satanic stuff.

thing is, backmasking doesn't work as a method for transmiting subliminal messages, so far, there is no proof that it can be done through audio. so if it was intentional, it was most likely not an attempt to actually transmit a message

Darth_Nader thing is, backmasking doesn't work as a method for transmiting subliminal messages, so far, there is no proof that it can be done through audio. so if it was intentional, it was most likely not an attempt to actually transmit a message there are still people who try though. stare

When it's done by metal bands or whatnot, it's for shock value (or just a cool sound). It doesn't mean anything, it's pretty silly, and it's not effective subliminally. A lot of the claims are also sensationalist conspiracy theory or urban myth stuff. The vast majority so-called backwards messages are just the brain filling in sounds. I hate AFI but its just my opionion. Anyways they hide messages in all there albums that people are auctully spending months of studying just to find them. In fact its suppose to be a very in depth discovery playing one of there albums backwards at a certain speed.

a freind of mine says that if you play the oompa loompa song backwards the first word you hear is "NAZIS!" and, similiar things about other songs. however i never verified that, so i dont really know. also im going to make a recording of a bunch of nonsense words "fun childrens songs" that when played backwards convey VERY disturbing messages, one day when im bored enough (and with enough caffeine in me) to do something like that.
