Who do you want to be in the running in 2008? Even I don't agree with some of his decisions, his being pro-affirmative action and allowing sexual orientation as a category for affirmative action, Barack Obama. I really want to see diversity and I believe that Barack Obama can be the one to do that. In all actuality, I want Al Gore to run again crying

I'm rooting for Barack too. 3nodding I brought this up with my dad and he thinks I'm crazy. I'm sure he would agree with voting for him if he knew his platforms, but's a naysayer because: -"America's not ready for a black president." (When will we be?) -"His name's Barack OBAMA, and everyone's going to think he's a terrorist." (Here's a prayer that voters won't be that stupid.)

Seriously, I hate people who will vote for a clearly inferior figure on such stupid excuses as "He's black" or "She's got breasts and a v****a". ********, when are people going to grow up and realize that their ignorance only hurts them when they vote in a poor figure?! See, this is why I hate people complaining about government decisions - most of the ones who just b***h without making points (as in, the nothing-is-ever-good-enough types) voted for the guy in the first place! ******** hypocrites... anyway, yeah, it's about time you guys got a black president. Just keep Hilary away from that office. I keep having visions of a nanny nation with no video gaming industry... *shudder*

She said the Vice President will start a war with Korea and will be assassinated. If this is true, I don't want Obama to run for president gonk However, if this isn't true, who do you want as his vice president? I can see the bumper stickers now: OBAMA AND KERRY 08'I would cry tears of joy. The only problem you have for running in 2024 is me gonk You will see me in the Democratic primaries as your challenger wink I KNOW! How do you like the titled of vice president? Sounds good, don't it?

And I gotta say it: My dad's a good guy, he just has a pretty pessimistic view on voter turnout (as well as everything else). I have a feeling if he didn't think his race and name would be an issue (and he could vote) he would vote for Obama.

In all likelyhood Kerry imploded his run for 2008 when he made that comment. At the very least I doubt the Democrats would put him up.
I think Obama might have a chance. It is good to see people getting excited about someone even if the elections are two years off.

Scare Tactic Propaganda I heard Obama announced he wasn't running. Say it ain't so! gonk No, he's actually gearing up more for a run (as in travelling in hot spots). He says he will not make an official announcement, though, until early in the new year. I do believe that Kerry has pretty much said that he's not running. Hillary is of course goin to run, and I think John Edwards is considering a run for it, too. If Obama gets the nomination for presidential candidate, I don't think it would be an Obama/Clinton ticket. I have faith (hopefully not misplaced) that the U.S. has advanced enough that we can elect a black president (or female, if Hillary gets the pres nomination) but I think a black man and a woman would be a bit too much all at once. I can see an Obama/Edwards ticket though, and that would still be great. I don't remember exactly when I started liking Obama. It's been a while -- maybe early 2005? He's such an amazing guy and I cross my fingers that he gets to run. I'm ready to send off my campaign volunteer request to Austin as soon as he announces he's running, even if I won't be in Austin until fall of 2007. xd
