"Bye, mom! I'm going to school." Kagome called out as she stepped out of her house. "Okay, dear. Have a nice day. Oh, and don't forget your umbrella!" "Okay" Kagome shut the door and walked to the entrance to the shrine where she, her grandpa, mom, brother, and cat lived. "Huh?" Kagome thought she just saw somebody coming out of the well house but when she turned and looked, nobody was there. "Hmm weird." ------------------------- That was close..... Kai thought as she hid behind the well house. She sighed and peeked around the corner. Kai watched as the girl hurried toward the stairs that led to the street at the bottom of the hill. Kai silently crept out from her hiding place and into the woods surrounding the shrine. She ran for several minutes until she came to a wall. Kai jumped over it and landed on a hard, white walkway called a sidewalk next to a large metal box on wheels. Luckily, nobody saw her jump over the wall. Since she had been in this world a lot lately so she knew what is acceptable and what isn't. Kai walked down the street a ways before she came to a door at the top of a stairway that led below the ground. She walked down the stairs and into what was called a 'subway station'. Kai reached into her waist pouch and pulled out a plastic card. She slid the card though a bright red box. The box spit out a piece of paper with writing on it. Kai still didn't understand why you would need a piece of paper to get onto a.......train? Or was it a truck. Kai walked between two boxes, one of which had a metal bar that turned when you walked through it. Down another flight of stairs and through a dense crowd of people, was where she would get onto a 'train'. Kai was amazed by this contraption because of how fast it was and how it takes you to places with little or no effort. Kai sat in the train for about half an hour before getting off. She was in love with a small ramen stand that was near the station. The ramen stand was across the street from a school. Kai wasn't sure what the school was called.
"Hey Kai-san! Welcome back." the ramen chef called out as she walked over and sat down on a bar stool. "The usual?" "uh.....yeah. That sounds good." Kai replied with a slight smile. Minutes later, the chef set a bowl in front of her. The dish was miso ramen with the little fish cakes on top. "Thanks, Takana." Kai said asshe handed him the money. "No problem." he said with a smile and walked over to the register that held all of the money. They talked for a while even after she had finished her ramen. They talked until the bell rang at the school across the street. Takana stood up and pulled his apron off. He reached under the counter and pulled out a small paper sign that read "Will Be Back Soon." He placed it on the counter. "Where're you going?" Kai asked. "I gotta go pick up my little sister from school." "Oh.....Yeah i guess i should get going too. See ya!" Kai waved. He returned the wave and turned around to go into the school. Just before Kai started to walk, she saw somebody in the corner of her eye. Kai almost choked as she saw the girl from the shrine walk past her. Kai quickly walked in the other direction, back toward to subway station.

It wasn't until the sun was beginning to set that Kai got back to the shrine. She silently made her way to the well house. Once there, she jumped in.

"Hi mom, I'm home!" Kagome called out after she slid the front door shut. "Hi honey, welcome home." her mom replied with a warm smile. Kagome walked upstairs to her room and changed into more comfortable clothes. "Buyo, get back here!" Kagome heard her kid brother call outside. "Oh darn it! Hey Kagome!" "What?" she asked when she opened her window. blue"It's Buyo.....he ran into that old shed over there!" he said, pointing towards the well-house. "Hold on, I'll be right down." Kagome sighed. Closing her window, she grabbed a small flashlight off her dresser and walked downstairs.
"I don't see him..." "He has to be in here....." Sota said. They had been searching for ten minutes but still didn't find their cat. "Oh well, I'm sure he'll turn up eventually." Kagome sighed as she sat down on the edge of the well. "This place kinda gives me the creeps..." Sota sat on the ground next to the stairs. Suddenly, Buyo jumped out from a shadow and startled Kagome. The next thing she knows is that she's falling backwards into the well. [continued in other RP]
