Chances are there are hundreds of Gay Marriage topics in the Main GD, but there are thousands of flamers, butt-wipes, and jack-butts out there. So far everyone I met in this guild is pretty mature. So... let's have our own little Gay Marriage Discussion. Rules of this thread:- Grammar is good for you. = No chatspeak! "lke wat r u up 2" I hate that, and lots of others do too. = You don't have to be perfect, trust me. I'm far from it. But not to the point that I use chatspeak =] - No cussing. Okay? NO CUSSING. You will be blacklisted. For the whole guild to see. - State your opinion, and a reason for it. Try not to offend anyone. - Follow ToS Blacklist

Alright. My opinion: I have to say that I'm for it. Most def. I think someone should be able to marry whoever they want. (Animals excluded of course. Yes, I consider animals, "whos".) Why? Well for one, if someone is gay/les. it'd be hard marrying what the majority thinks is "right", and I don't think they should have to.
Lots of people are against it because of religion. I respect that. What I don't respect is when someone is against it because, "it grosses them out". Big deal. Alot of things gross me out, that doesn't mean they're going to be made illegal.
Alot of the gays/les. are wanting this right because of the money reasons. You know it's true. They want to get married to the one they love... if they die, they want the one they love to get their money. *nod*
If they won't allow gay marriage, they should at least allow that little detail.
Oh gosh! Another thing. The voting on the gay marriage thing was bull crap. They made it so complicated that 90% of the people voting had no idea what yes and no stood for.
I think that yes was against it, and no was for it. That's pretty sneaky of the government. *sighs* How sad.

I think gay marriage should be allowed. It's frustrating to me that people think that it's only ok for people that are heterosexual to get married. It's completely unfair in my mind. If two people want to get married, the should be able to, even if they're both of the same gender.

I've been searching, looking, waiting, watching.I think that you should be able to marry whom ever you want to marry I think that marrige is somthing that two people can share with each other no matter what gender they are. If any two people want to be married I think they should be able to do so.
I am for gay marrige.
I think that people who are against it, are just afraid of change, and are pretty much not open to trying new things.
Oh and I think that no one should discriminate, love is never wrong. (I made a poster in school that said that) And I think i would be still, if it hadn't been for gods will.

I think people are people, they love who they love and nobody should take that away from them!

I don't think you have to marry someone to be with them actually. Which means I think if you want to be with someone male or female or whatever then do it. Who cares if other people don't like it, so long as you're happy.

I can actually say my word and mean it. I voted against this piece of crap bill to the Virginia Constitution. Before you think I meant against Gay Marriage, please read the bill. I am always for Gay Marriage but that bill can hurt straight people too! Just read the question. You do not need to read the other crap. It sucks that the bill got past... scream

I'm for it as well...i think that all these times...well around me anyways, i've heard people around me telling others that it doesn't matter who the person is as long as you love them. So that should apply to gay marriages as well, it doesn't make a different. I think that by being against it is just like saying that something does matter more than love and i'm just dont' agree with that.

I think it's really dumb for there to be a law against it! Why do they care so much about who a person marries? That's just like saying "Oh you can't marry that person because he/she's of a different ethnicity." Or something. I think that the laws are getting far too into people's personal lives.

Isn't Marriage a Christian Tradition?
And their the churches against it?
Your not gonna change a Religion's mind.
We'll probally see Same-Sex Marriage in the years to come, maybe when we are 30 or something. Give it time.

In my opinion, Gay Marriages should be allowed, and they probably will be at some point in time. We just have to wait. If two people love eachother, no matter what sex they are together, they should be allowed.
Why should they make rules against love?
