 The evening was cool, and bitter. A freezing rain had covered the lands, letting all know that winter had arrived. Lunaria didn't like the cold one bit, and the pitiful look on her face reflected this. The winds were blowing at high velocity, which pulled her wings every which way. It felt as if the thin, soft wings would rip in two. She needed to find a place to take shelter, quickly. She tryed to hold her large wings to her side, as she took off running for some trees. It didn't matter, her wings didn't weigh enough to hold up to the weather. She was miserable.

 MoonFire was enjoying the coolness of the wind as he walked amongst some trees. His wings were spread out slightly to try to catch the wind and funnel it downward as he walked just because he found it quite amusing and couldn't help but laugh to himself as he did. Out of the corner of his eye he saw what looked like a weird looking red thing that was having some trouble. He quickly started walking towards her to see if she needed any help.

She strugled, but reached the side of a giant oak, near the edge of the forest. Why had she not sought shelter sooner? Now she was stuck in this nasty, unforgiving weather. She pouted as she huddled in close to the tree. Her efforts to shield some of the winds were futile. What was she to do?
She snapped her head towards a fast approaching yuma like creature in the glade. Fear filled her body, and she began to vibrate vigorously. She couldn't help it, half of it was because she was cold anyways.

As MoonFire approached what looked like yuma he slowed down as not to scare it off as it looked terrified. "Do you need any help?" He asked his voice gentle but yet loud so it could be heard above the wind. "I know a place nearby that would be much better then that tree if you wish to go."

A place nearby he said? She looked him over for a moment. He did have great demon wings, but not the horns of a demon. So maybe he wasn't mean spirited like most demonics. Plus, the blue on his coat was magnificent. She peered some more and took one cautious step forward then stoped. Waited, took two or three more quick, small steps. She then saw his moon accessorie, adorning his left leg. Anyone with a love of the moon surely couldn't be evil. She took a series of quick steps and ended up right in front of him. Her mouth spread to reveal pearly whites as she said "Pleeease." in an almost youthful way. Like a small foal would say when they were begging their parents for something. She was desperate.

Smiling he turned enough so that he was next to her so he could stretch out a wing over top of her the best of his advantage. "Stay close or you'll probaly end up blowing away." He said with a small laugh and started walking slowly ahead.

The young stallion pressed onward with his head down into the wind, his wings crumpled tightly behind him. His teeth clinched in his jaw as he walked as briskly has he could. He was in a hurry to find shelter from the bite of the chilled wind; he also simply hated for his beautiful wings to get wrinkled. But being this kind of weather, it was inevitable.

"Yes sir! Thank you sir!" she said as she pressed closely next to his side. She kept a small space between them, and her cold shivering body grazed his from time to time. It was nice to have someone by her, for the wind was slightly less treacherous.
She titlted her head to the side a bit, as a yuma appeared in the distance, heading in the direction they were. Squinting her eyes, she tried to get a better look, but it didn't help. It was just too windy.

He pressed his wings so tight in the biting wind they looked like crumpled pieces of paper. His poor antennae flicked around this way and that in the tortuous wind. All he could think about was a place to duck away from this awful and approaching night.
From the corner of his eye and through a veil of trellis whipping wildly in the gusts, he spotted a dark hideaway that appeared to be a cave. He paused briefly, deciding whether or not to approach, but as a new wave of chilly air passed through his mane and straight through his wings to his spine, he made his decision post-haste. He quickly trotted toward the cave, gave it a glance and ducked in; he only half-inspected it so he hoped, as he stood in the dark, wet nook, that if something else was in there with him it was a nice 'something.'
From the mouth of the cave, he almost thought he heard the voices of others trudging through the harsh evening. He squinted but through the gauntlet of swinging greenery and slushy-like rain that came down, his vision was less than adequate to spot anything.
