On the other side of the village lies a beautiful and solitary spot by the Huge Waterfall that resides far from the village. Over the years this place has been used as a meeting of romance and drastic training. The solitude, beauty, and tranquility of it makes it one of the greatest spots in the whole village.
The only mystery about the falls is how it got there. The water just seems to fall from the top of the cascades, yet no one can seem to find how the water is getting through the rocks.
The water that flows through the unknown falls, is known for it's great purity. Only shinobi with a pure heart can use it in their attacks, which is not good for those who merely strive for power.
The beautiful waterfall has a canopy of foliage and walls of green with beautiful flowers that bloom at odd occasions, such as when a great wave of chakra flows out from one person. It has to be a special type of chakra, though. The type that is associated with strong emotions, to be precise.

Kai had always been a lonely child, or rather one that stayed away from others. He'd always been cold, and absent hearted, he was known as the prince of ice to people who believed they knew him.
He looked around. There was little around here save for the rather large waterfall. He continued on walking towards it. He'd been meaning to come here to train, he was after all, only an academy student.
He had already memorized the book that would teach him the full concepts of the Hsing-Yi style and he had already started on the first concept. He cleared his mind. He would have to train long and hard to become a Ninja.

He pushed one fist out and started moving forwards. Things were starting slowly to seep in slowly and calmly. He knew that his style was unique, and that the power behind it came from the mind, but unlike every other style, it required strength, and practice. Tai-chi involves blending into the opponent while Bagua, step and evade. No Kai didn't want to do this in a battle.
He stepped forward, alternating his strikes. On his third step, he kicked up. There was nothing that was going to deter him from this training, not if he wanted to be part of this village. He'd have to prove himself first.

He turned around on his kick up, one hundred and eighty degree's. Then he dropped his kick and stamped down slamming his fist forwards. He stepped and punched, stepped, and punched, stepped and kicked to the side.
Then he brought his leg back down and jumped back, somersaulting back those three steps, before going straight down into the splits, and back up, jumping into the air and kicking either side of him.

He landed neatly and precisely, never missing a beat. He went through the same routine, roughly about five times to give his muscles a work out. It was kind of a ritual for him now ever since he had learned how to do the splits when he was five years of age.
Once he had completed his fifth he stood for a moment contemplating his actions. There was no one else here bar him, for this he was thankful, as he hated people watching him train.
He turned to face the waterfall, and walked straight towards it, coincidentally walking into the fast flowing river. It slowed him down yes, but he never lost his balance, nor did he lose his grip as he walked forwards, deeper and deeper into the water.
He was almost chest height once he reached the waterfall. He turned around and began to focus. He knew a little about seals but nothing much and he knew nothing of Chakra at the moment.

He turned away from the waterfall and then with just will power he propelled himself upwards and backwards onto a ledge which the waterfall broke over. He sat underneath it, in a meditative position. Clearing his mind he began to drown out the sound of the rushing waterfall at first so that he could clear his mind of thoughts.
Then he allowed the sound of the water to come in. He wasn't concentrating on this though. He was concentrating on hearing past the waterfall. He began to hum a low unnamed tune to begin with to accompany the silence that was growing within.
He was doing this training in order to toughen up his body muscles, and therefore strengthen his agility. He would have to get some weights sooner or later.
Kai stayed in this position for the next half hour contemplating and thinking of nothingness. He was in complete void, tuning into each of his senses and then back out again as he wished.

Once the half an hour was complete, he stood up in the waterfall, and walked off to the side, back towards dry land. He stripped off most his his wet clothing and lay them out on rocks for the sun to dry. Although this was a cold area, it didn't bother him. He had promised himself temperature would never bother him.
To warm himself, and dry himself, thus preventing hypothermia he began his exercises again. He punched forwards, and then kicked. Then alternated, punched forwards, and kicked up. When he had gone as far as he could doing this, he round-housed and turned the opposite direction moving forwards once again in a linear fashion. He wasn't about to stop training, in fact all he wanted to do was get faster and stronger.
To do this however he would need someone to train with and at current there was no one to train him. He was now warmed up, but now, he had to wait for his clothes to dry out fully, which wasn't helped by clouds passing under the sun's gaze. He turned to his right and started punching again. He resumed just punching forwards and nothing more.

Having finished thirty punches into fresh air, he began on his kicks. He glanced to his clothing before he did so. No nothing. He kicked up, then stamped his foot back down, about half a meter in front of him, causing him to bend his leg, and then he brought his other leg forwards and kicked up and repeated the movement.
This wasn't something that was easy, and he could feel his legs burning and his arms and abdominal muscles were burning too. It was a good work out for his body.
These kicks were testing his body and his balance, rather than his strength. He knew he didn't have much of that now, but he was going to. If he wanted to achieve his dream, he'd have to become strong. Stronger than anyone else.

Moving in accordance with his body after finishing his thirty kicks he took a rest for a moment and walked over to his clothes. They still weren't dry, so he tossed his top up into the air, he did the same with his trousers. Then proceeded to catch both of them and chuck them up into the air again at different angles.
He raced first after his t-shirt, grabbing it, and turning around on the spot straight after his trousers. He caught them just before they landed. They were a little drier now. He headed to another rock and placed the items there, waiting for them to dry a little more.
He turned back and began his punching practice again. This time with a kick after every third punch.

He carried on with his punches, but adjusted his routine slightly until his was punching six times and then kicking twice in succession to the side. Now his muscles really were burning, but the exercise would do him good. Besides, the other Academy Students didn't train this hard nor this well.
He was way better than them, stronger, faster. All he needed to do was train more. He carried on with his punches followed by his double kick. He was aiming for his kicks to be faster and faster.
His mind became occupied again as he trained on autopilot. What if they didn't acknowledge him at this village, would he have to move on and try a different one?

He growled lightly. His Taijutsu was improving slightly, but not as much as he hoped. He finished thirty of these double kicks before changing again. This time he kicked upwards after every third kick, sidewards after two kicks after that, and then slammed both fists forwards directly after the sidewards kick. It was quite interesting to watch.
Even some of the animals had stopped to watch him train. He didn't mind animals...or at least they didn't bother him, it was just humans...or rather other Ninja. He carried on still his training must increase in difficulty and complexity before he could even dare approach the village Kage for training.

He almost collapsed after his 30th one of those so he stopped his training for now and turned back to his clothes. At last, they were dry. He put them on quickly feeling the warmth of the clothing. He shook his head getting rid of a disorientation that had crept over him.
Now would be the time to get something to eat. He headed off down to the village center to find something. It was just a set pace of walking but he carried on none the less...even though his legs felt as though they were about to drop off.

Kai came back to the area he had left, there was no where in the main village that he would be able to stay now. He'd have to stay outside of it until the Kage recognized him. He was going to become stronger.
Far stronger than any of them had ever dreamed. His fathers face flashed through his mind. He looked around. There was nowhere here either, but maybe...he looked towards the water fall.
Maybe there was something at the top of the waterfall? The only way up there would be to climb, so Kai walked over to the cliff face, and started, punching holes in the soft clay in order to provide himself with foot holes as he ascended the wall.
It was quite tricky, but this also provided training for him, as he didn't know what the soil was like further up.

Thrusting his fist into soft clay, was actually harder than it seemed, as the clay resisted him, and the further he got up the more he had to punch in order to get a sufficient size hole.
His arms were soon aching from the work, but there was little he could about it, if he didn't get to the top before his arms gave way there was nothing stopping the holes from just returning to their state before hand.
He carried on punching, he'd only managed to get three quarters of the way up. It wasn't that far now.

20/50 "Damn wall," Kai said as he put his hand over the top, "Conquered it." Kai grumbled as he went to put his other hand up, but something was wrong. He was a hundred feet up, and the soil up here was incredibly tough, but there was still something wrong.
His eyes widened.
"No." He said in disbelief. A crack appeared in front of him, spreading all around him.
"KUSOU!" Kai said as the wall gave way and fall apart from the cliff. He fell backwards still holding the chunk of wall. There was nothing he could do now...he was going to die...
He hit whatever was below with a sickening THWACK and then he rolled into the river unconscious.
