 The Anko Discussion
"...And one last thing...JUST DONT DIE!"
When we first see Anko, she is the loud chuunin proctor that has a servere blood lust. She also seems to scare all the genin as well. We later find that she had a curse placed on her neck from Orochimaru, the same as Uchiha Sasuke. She is then seen later on, on various missions trying to help get Sasuke back from Orochimaru. When flashed back to her past we see that she really looked up to Orochimaru whens he was a kid. He was much of a father figure in her life. Then, he told her that she didnt have enough hate and that she was a lost cause. He then abandoned her leaving her alone. But with a curse mark. By him not killing her, he knew that she was still worth something. That with him throwing her aside, her hate would grow. Hate for him.

Does Anko look like a boy? To me, no.
Unless she cuts her hair, then she might look like one

Why you love her.
My favorite characters have the same thing in common. They are loud, outgoing, smart, outspoken, and blunt. And that is everything Anko is. She kicks serious a** and knows it. She doesnt let people push her around, and she has survived off herself since Orochimaru abandoned her. She is strong and I think that she [and the rest of Team Seven and Co.] is going to be the one to take down Orochimaru and bring Sasuke back.
Favorite moments.
When we first see her and she throws the banner up. That was hillarious. And then when they met outside the forest of death and scared Naruto silly. And then later on when they have to go a mission and Anko is in charge and Naruto says "You mean the scary Chuunin Proctor?!" That was hillarious. Or when she went back to get Ino from drowning. Because Ino is one of my favorite characters and she helped her. And then in the forest of death when Orochimaru was there, she may not have one, but I think she even surprised him with her tallents.
What do you think of that outfit of hers?
Hmm, Like Sai...Only she could pull that off. Its kind of her own style. And she has had something like it her whole life. I mean, her style hasnt changed much since when she was a kid. So Id say, I love it, and Its an Anko Original. Lolx.
Big question: Does she really look like a boy?
No, Anko looks like a girl to me. She has girly eyes a girly figure. I mean, she's got boobage for pete's sake. XD. Even if they did cut off her hair I dont think she would look like a boy. Not at all.
Anko Pairings.
Right now my favorite crack pairing is Iruka x Anko. Its so crack I know!! But I mean, she would so dominate that relationship. I can so see him asking her to kill her. Or her kissing him.
Kakashi x Anko- I dunno, she's needs a layed back cool guy that can handle her. Because Anko is a hand full. XD. Lolx.

I think this is just another one of Kishimoto's symbolism deals. He likes to make their names and personalities or what they like match. Sasuke Uchiha, Uchiha being a fan. Naruto being a spiral shaped dressing in ramen. Him loving ramen with Naruto in it. Sakura, hair and eyes matching a cherry blossom. Just simple things like that. Or more obvious. Tsuande being the slug tamer, Jiraiya being the Toad sage, and Orochimaru being the Snake summoner. Ironically, in ledgend they all match. Even though in legend. Tsunade was married to Jiraiya. XD. Lolx.

It's comfy, to say the least! I love her outfit, it's so good. And truly, only she could pull off such a mish-mash and stilll look good.

Because she is outgoing, loud, funny, and smart. When I first saw her come to the second part of the exam early. I bust out laughing, and we like, "She is going to be one of my fave charaters." So she is.

When Shikamaru asked her if they could quit in the middle of the second exam and she was like, "No...in the middle of a fight you can't just say I quit, and give up...well you could, but you would probally get yourself killed." I laughed so hard.

I think that it matches her personality. Wild and free.

No...I have never thought that....

Well her name meaning that is just like every other charcter in Naruto.

The Deal with her: Not much is revealed about Anko yet. We first saw her during the Chuunin exams as the exuberant loud-mouthed examiner of the second exam. Her wide confident smiles were soon doused with the knowledge that her former teacher, Orochimaru had returned to the village. Orochimaru had used her years ago when she was his subordinate and had placed a cursed seal on her, which would have killed her had she been weaker. Anko is rash, impulsive, and very much haunted by her past affiliation with Orochimaru

Anko is great :p, we almost share the same exact bday too *feels so special*
I think Anko would be cute with Kakashi.....Ive just recently started getting into reading fanfic again, with these two this time however.
I sure hope she gets revealed alot more in the series, even if its just her actutally appearing in episodes...better than wondering what she really is stuck doing all day....filling her belly till she can no longer eat, or going on missions we never get to hear about....*cry* confused

alright I'll right a basic summary ove what we've seen from Anko so far
sad spoilers)
When Anko was a Genin she was under the tutelage of the Sannin Orochimaru. While under his care, Orochimaru trained Anko in many forbidden jutsu. Orochimaru did not hold any compassion for Anko, merely using her for his own ends. On one trip to the Sea Country, Orochimaru chose Anko for his latest experiment. She and nine others were to wear his cursed seal. Only Anko survived being marked with the Heaven Seal.
She rejected Orochimaru's plans for her so she was left behind by her sensei. She was found shortly afterwards by ANBU. She returned to Konoha and had the mark sealed away by Medical ninja under the watch of Sandaime Hokage. She would begin to repress many of her memories of this time as a coping mechanism. She then began her new life without Orochimaru's mentorship, though she would still continue to use many of the kinjutsu she had learned while studying under him. In the coming months she would continue to develop her skills and eventually pass the Chuunin Exam.
As the years passed Anko further advanced in rank and was appointed to the position of Special Jounin. She would use her wit and skills as a proctor when Konoha held the Chuunin Exam. It was during this time she learned the horrible truth about a mysterious Grass Genin murder, her mentor had returned and was participating in the Exam. Anko rushed to confront him and planned to use a suicidal jutsu in the desperate hope she could take her former sensei down with her. Orochimaru shrugged off her attacks though and let her know he was focusing on a new project, Uchiha Sasuke. Orochimaru left and Anko rushed back to let everyone know what she had learned.
A few weeks later she would talk over the recent events with the Third Hokage. He told her not to blame herself for Orochimaru getting away and she tried to accept that. She then expressed her wish that the Fourth Hokage was alive, so that he could take care of the evil man. When Orochimaru formally began his invasion of Leaf, Anko would not take the front lines against her mentor, instead she would help ensure Leaf's citizens made it out of harms way.
Months later she would be offered a chance to investigate strange happenings in the Sea Country. It gave Anko the chance to revisit her past and come to terms with her sordid history with Orochimaru. Though she didn't confront Orochimaru directly, she helped stop his minions from causing any further problems for the island nation. She also finally regained her memory and remembered with happiness that she had rejected Orochimaru, and had had the will to stand up for herself
