Title says it all. I perfer piano. It sounds so real, keyboards are so dull and hard to make dimuendos and concerdos. Or whatever they're spelled. It's like...Terrace dymanics.

Indeed. Pianos are so much better then keyboards. At school I always use the pianos, my excuse being "But they don't have enough octaves!", with me being the only one who uses more then two octaves.

Same...When I compose I use all of the octaves. I can't stand having just two or three.

Well, when performing in a band, I would much rather prefer a keyboard.
Some bands use the keyboard and synthesizer really effectively!
Even though I play the piano, the keyboard I find is better.

Every texture can be reached.

Mmm, absolutly the piano. The piano has such tone and depth. Not like the synthetic and mechanical keyboard.

I absolutely adore pianos, but I own a keyboard to practice on for these reasons. 1. It was a great deal cheaper, of course. 2. It has 6 and 2/3 octaves, and the piano sound was surprisingly good. 3. I just couldn't afford a piano. 4. I don't have any room for a piano anyway. -___- *sulk*
Ah well, I use the school's piano whenever I can xD

Ah well, I use the school's piano whenever I can xD Your school's piano is decent? I thought it was a general rule that all school pianos were utter crapXD All of ours certainly are! I was talking to one of the heads of the council music dept. (he was the clarinet tutor for our orchestra) and he said that every school piano he has ever played it truly crapXD

People have pulled off the hammers on some notes. And we don't even have a grand.

One has been re-done so it's not that ghastly anymore, and I'm not too sure what they've done with the other...

I can't stand playing on keyboards. I was my school's pianist last year, and all we had was a keyboard. It drove me crazy using that. I love the piano........except when it is out of tune.
