Dried twigs and thirsty leaves crackled and writhed under the small footsteps of a small Triune as he roamed through the eerie silence and darkness of the dying forest. The chartreuse-lime markings on his dark body glowed brightly against the black background of the lifeless trees and shrubbery- what a depressing place. It was no wonder that he, Dak, would be there. Not even the wind entered the forsaken forest, and the sunlight let no friendly rays pass through to aid the whithering greenery in their tragically lost battle for life. The only birds that chirruped were crows and other such ominous beasts, and no small critters scampered about the ground save for a few that must have been left behind.
Step by small step, Dak made his way through the forest with little intention aside from prowling some place new. The usual spots grew so tedious and boring after so long of tracking his own steps, and as unfortunate as it may be, most of the other Triune did not take to his fancy nor interest him in the least. He lowered his head calmly, sniffing with a lackluster glint in his glowing, blue and yellow eyes, at a patch of mushrooms thriving on a decaying trunk. A small smirk crossed his maw as he raised his head, lowering his haunches to take a seat and let his eyes wander.

The tiny female gently padded her way though the cadaverous wood. Her long blue witches hat bobbing along as she made each step, claws digging into the dry and dusty ground. Her long blakc and golden sky marked tail flicked back and forth, her ears perked upwards.
The young female always came to these woods, as they were certainly the best place to get away. A place where she could pratice her spells and potions without interuption. A place where she could just sit alone in the silence.
It was then that a familiar glow caught her eye. Her long pointed ears roated back, her hat ruffling at the end. Her four wings streached out, flapping a few times before folding back up neatly upon her back. "Good day." she spoke out, as her pace slowed. (( Shoooooort post. D8 ))

Even before he himself actually heard the Triune speak, his ears gave a quick twitch. At the sound of her voice his eyes grew slightly wider, already curiously small pupils shrinking even further, most likely out of surprise. What other creature, let alone one of his own linguistics, would be in this dreadful place? Not that it was dreadful to him, he quite enjoyed it, but all the same.
Immediately his glowing markings dimmed in a kind of reflex. His head darted over, long snout pointed in Nyx's direction. The young Triune sniffed at the air, a familiar scent wafting through the deathly still air. By now his ears and eyes had returned to their normal state, and slowly his chartreuse-lime glow returned to the markings spread across his body.
As familiar as the scent was, it had been quite a while since he last made any kind of contact with one of his own kind, and had since forgotten just whom possessed such an alluring scent.
"Who goes there?"
Dak's voice was unwavering and stern, despite his size; the voice of one with a dry sense of humor and of one who perhaps needed to take things a little less seriously.

The familiar glow, the familiar voice, the long seen friend. The male's scent soon wafted though her nostrils, as her long thin tail flicked back and forth behind her. Short golden claws, seemed to tense , soon burring half-way in the dead black dirt beneath the female's feet. It had been forever since the female had seen this pirticular friend of her's, and that was rather saying much, as she did not have many she personally deemed as friends. The witch perfered solitude more then anything, and as such making friends was not a common feat for her.
Her dark black ears rotated back, before moving forward once more, her pace was slow as though her legs were debating with themselves on wheather to go on towards the female's friend or not. But she had already spoken, he knew of her pressence, she had to go and speak with him, at least for a moment. And yet, for some reason Nyx was finding this hard. It wasn't as though she hadn't spoken to anyone for a while, what with the whole fiasco on Halloween. Though since that day she had kept locked up in her dank room.
Was there even any true reason for her to be holding back? Certainly there was none at all. She couldn't even remember as to why she had headed out to these cadaverous woods, and really if she could no longer remember that reason then there was nothing stoping her from speaking to him.
She blinked slowly, her pace soon quickening, orange hair twirling down behind her ears. "It has been a while Dak." she uttered, her blue robe rumpling at the bottom as she sat down upon her haunches in view of the male.

Again, he blinked, as the femme trotted into view and sat quickly back before him. For a moment, he couldn't speak, for her entrance had been somewhat abrupt, and yet it seemed to have taken awhile for her to present herself to him.
"Ah, Nyx. I knew that scent seemed familiar to me. It has been quite awhile."
The Triune quickly stood, long tail swaying slowly behind him, the glow from the marking on it creating the usual soporific effect. It had been so long since he had set eyes on a Triune he dared to call 'friend', he wasn't quite sure what to say to her. She hadn't seemed to have changed much, quite like himself, whom he assumed looked the same as when they last met.
The young Triune lifted a paw and began to take a step forward, but ceased quickly and pulled it back to his side. He was not sure if it was skepticism, or the slight awkward feeling that was bubbling in his stomach. Not that it was awkward, Nyx herself, but it had been awhile since their last meeting and since they had last spoken to one another, and he was trying to grasp the situation. Curious he was, why she seemed to have hesitated before coming to meet him. Perhaps it was that which had made him feel a slight tinge of awkwardness.
Once more, he blinked, one yellow and one cerulean-blue eye disappearing for a simultaneous moment, slitted pupils fixated on the little witch.
"You... look as though you've been well."

The female nodded as the glowing male spoke. It had very well been a long time. How long in fact had it been, she wasn't quite sure, but it was certain enough to say that it had been many a month since she had last spied her eyes upon him. She was quite surpirsed to see that he had barly changed, infact there didn't seem to be much diffrent, no changes in height or really anything for the matter. Though she was the older, and changes such as in height, well would she not have experienced those first? And if she had not changed, then chances he wouldn't have as well, however Dak was male and as most knew male's tended to be larger and the like.
Anyways, such thoughts were not very important for the time being.
The witch could feel the uneasiness in the air, almost as though it were hovering around them like a thick fog. It was clear to her, that it was she that had spun that web and it was causing the male to feel rather nervous, or so she asumed.
"As does thee." she soon uttered in response to the glowing male, her tail curling around her hindpaw.

Forgetting just why he had stood in the first place, Dak sat back on his quarters, returning to his previous position. His glowing eyes traveled down, not so much inspecting her as to avoid eye contact for the time being. Hearing his own voice had surprised him somewhat, since he hadn't made contact with another of his kind in so long, and it continued to echo in his ears. Nyx's had a similar effect, though he would refrain from admitting that hearing her voice had been pleasant to his ears.
There he sat and stared with narrowed eyes at the femme's paws and the ruffled hem of her robe. His mind began to wander, many different things trailing through his head, before he raised his eyes to her own in an attempt to read them.
"Might I inquire... as to what you might be doing in a place such as this?"
By now his voice had softened some, to how it normally was, serious and clearly masculine, but quiet. The young Triune sat before her, head bowed though his narrow pupils stared into her own. Come to think of it, what was he doing in that silent forest?
