Kate, Sawyer, Jack Centric.
Chapter 1
Kate was sitting right on the edge of the water. Letting the water just flow up and get her damp. She was looking out at the vast waters wondering if anyone was even still looking for them. It had been at least a month, she decided. How long do they look for people without declaring them dead, she thought to herself. She had heard of people getting rescued after 2 months. She hoped that wouldn’t be them. She couldn’t wait to get off the island---then again---she didn’t know what would happen to her. At least on the island she was free but then back in the states she was a fugitive. She didn’t really want to go to jail but she didn’t want to be on the island. Maybe, if we are on here long enough I won’t go to jail. She knew the probability of that was slim.
Sawyer was under his tent type thing. He was reading a book he had found out in the jungle about a week ago. He didn’t know whose it was then again he didn’t care. He wished that there were more entertaining things to do on the island other than read and go out in search of lost hope. Lost hope was all that it was. Why does everyone have their hopes up with hope when he already knew it was long gone? He didn’t expect anyone to come for them---nor had he ever. People were hoping to find hope but Sawyer knew it was never going to happen. People have to do things on their own and look for things. He looked around and how everyone else was spending their day. He saw a few people talking and then he saw her. Kate. What was she doing just staring out at the sea? Usually she hangs around Jack. Jack. The doctor who does no wrong. How I despise him. Sawyer snapped back and looked up at his book. He began reading and still wondering what Kate was doing. Sawyer couldn’t escape the question. Why do I care so much?
Jack was talking to someone and answering questions. Seanna (just some random girl) had been having some problems lately. So what has been happening these last few days? She explained that she had been throwing up and have been having headaches. She knew it was probably just the flu but she wanted to make sure. Well it seems to me that it’s just the flu. If any other symptoms occur then come back. She thanked him and then she left. He had been busy checking up on people all day and all he wanted was a break. He decided to go to up to the golf course that Hurley had made. He hadn’t wanted a break like this in a while. He made his way up to the golf course and was hoping for a day of peace and not having to deal with anyone. As much as he had liked helping people, sometimes he just needed to take some time to himself.
