James is my fave MetallicA band member, he's been through so much and yet he still goes on... he's the heart of the band, but that's only my opinion xp . I want to know yours?
Who's your fave MetallicA member,
Why,
and Babble on for a bit about random stuff on the band and the members, songs, etc.. saywhatever you want but make sure u anser my question please =D

Being a tuba player (a common bass intrument in marching bands, concert bands, and plain old high school bands.) I would naturaly point to Cliff Burton as my favorite member of Metallica. Of course, he's no longer a member due to a tour bus tragedy, but his bass technique-according to a music match jukebox resource- was quite unique and he could have been Metallica's best bassist. I would also like to call David Mustain an *ss hole. As a guitarist and singer wannabe, I prefer Jamez Hetfield too! But not just for that of course. He kicks a**! HELL YEAH! And no matter what, he keeps going and going.

My friend Brian was related to Cliff; cousins to be exact.
I swear that man was, and forever will be, one of the greatest bass players of all time.

James. He seems to be the most human out of them. his Tattoos are cool too. biggrin . Rob is just there.. joined.. i dont hear much from Kirk (though he does surf in my town all the time) and Lars pisses me off. I dont like the rep he gives Metallica. Because of him, people assume all of metallica is after money and fame. I dont like that. I dont like the napster stuff that he instigated. A true fan will buy their albums.. it didnt seem like he had any faith in us.
Lars asked for a band.. but James and himself started it together. You cant start a band as a singular person, i don't think.

First James put an ad in the paper and Lars tried out and it didn't work. Then months later he did it again and Lars AND James started the band.

Lars in my favorite member, because he has been with the band all the way through the good/bad times, and he is an amazing drummer, and enspired many of today's drummers!
