This will be the first of many pointless little Skirmishes in the war. You do not use your main character in these battles. You will use a regular unit
Skirmish in the Mountains.
{Jagged mountains. Not very tall but tons of cover everywhere. A large forest is at the base of the mountains. }
Zeon:
The small force has been sent out to get some info on the closest Federation Base.
-If sucssesful they are able to make it to the small base and send back info
-If not succesful the team is killed or has retreated
Federation:
The small Federation group has been sent to look for the Zeon activity
-If succsesful they send back or destroy all the Zeon units
-If not succsesful retreat to base.

(I will take part of this with the federation Guncannon)
The Federation pilot in the Guncannon was working its way through the forest. He knew his mission and was sure it would be easy. He never really expected to get any Zeon activity way out here but he still did his job.

The Zaku l pilot was walking around in the forest. His team was send to get some info on a feddie base nearby. So they were heading for it.

The Zaku I pilot was in formation in the forest. His mobile suit moved slowly, scanning the horizon for any hostile activity. The pilot was munching on a few doritos, talking with his mouth full. "Whats the ETA on the Federation base?"

The Zaku l's eye moves and looks another one. "13, I think" the pilot says, then he looks at a picture of him and his girlfriend.

Drake scans the forest in front of him and the guncannon for any Zeon remnants. He was beside him in his GM. "I don't see anything yet..." he said to his partner. Drake continued forward in formation.

"Roger that," he said as he rolled up the bag of chips and stuffed them under his seat. He kept moving forward and glanced at his scanner. "Hey, you want some soda?" he asked jokingly.

The guncannon pilot looked at the mission list.
He opened link with the other pilot.
"We need to start up the mountain now. We should get a good view of both sides from up there."
As soon as the link closed the pilot moved the suit to face towards the mountain.

The Zaku I pilot glanced at his scanner and spoke over the comm. "10 minutes until destination. It seems unusually quiet," he said. He rose his weapon and looked behind him. There was nothing there, and all of this was making him uneasy. "We should have seen something by now."

Drake heard the comm and opened the link to the guncannon. "Agreed..." he replied and turned to follow the other mobile suit. "We need to hurry though."
