"Father" is-
-The leader and most likely creator of the homunculi.
-A strange man in a chair, perhaps it has to do with the stone?
-A b*****d.
-Hoho's brother in law on Trisha's side?
-Someone who called Hoho an It.

Hah the newest chapter finally explains it Who "father" is O_O
Spolier: He was a Homunculus in a flask who was created with Hoenhiem's blood. The Homunculus was going to tell the king of this country the way to get eternal life.(by the way Ed's dad was a slave in this country and 'father' taught him how to read and write. Also taught him some alchemy.) But "father" tricked them and they did a ritual that allowed "father" to take over the kings body and take the souls of everyone in the country. He took part of Hoenhiem's soul while he was at it so he would look like him. He also gave Hoenhiem some of the souls that he took so he too would have eternal life. And thus Father was created.

He is the philosopher's stone in human form.. Or so he says..

Well, a, hm. confused
I've read to the point in the manga where Ed, Al, and Ling encounter him, but I still don't know for sure who he is. (I'm fairly sure he's not Hohoenhiem, though.)

I read it..father is a homuculus with hoenhiem's blood and he looks like him but older(i dont wanna go into all the details)
