Inside the village is a forbidden swamp. Only chuunin and higher ranked shinobi are allowed to venture inside. The dangers lurking within are unspeakable and not really a good place to just 'hang'.

A lot of higher ranked shinobi use this place as a battle field and for training purposes. Many strange insects and reptiles live inside the swamp, so it is good practice for a real battle. But be warned, some villagers have gone inside the swamp but never came back in.

Rumor has it, an ancient evil was trapped inside the ground in this area of the beautiful Takiyama village. Soon after, the swamp appeared. There seems to be a strange aura around this place and some even say the trees have chakra and move around to confuse whoever enters. Make sure you bring a compass when you enter this swamp.

This is one of the few places Kouen did not touch. She didn't like the feel of it, so she kept in mind to stay away, though, she does allow genins and academy students to come inside if accompanied by a chuunin or higher.
