While their life as nomads and outlaws is behind them, Kouen and Kenmei couldn't help but erect their home in a fashion they were used to. A massive, creamy colored tent that could have easily been thirty feet tall is their home. People are free to come and go, but are advised to make sure that they make their presence known to Kouen or Kenmei. It is stationed under a shelf, most likely dug out by the new Otakikage and has a roof of rock protecting it from the rain and sun and cold, and protecting the tent from the wind is a large waterfall that falls from the shelf and down about 50 feet to the rocks below. To get to the tent, you must climb a winding path, that is sticking out from a rock wall only about 5 feet, up to the shelf that overlooks the land thatand try to spot it behind the waterfall.

On the interior, there are two levels, and rooms are separated by heavy canvas and tied down by heavy ropes. A small stream flows from the top floor and down a series of bamboo shoots to the kitchen area that is simply an open fire with pots, pans, a pantry, and dried meat and fish hanging from the wooden floor of the top floor/ceiling of the first floor.

There are rich blue rugs laid all over the floor of the bottom level, but instead of serving a purpose, they accent the blue stone that the shelf is built out of. There are wooden stair that are connected to the surprisingly sturdy outer part of the tent. The bottom level is an open area with pillows and mats covered in silk laid all over with one main fire in the center that never goes out. There is a kitchen, but for the most part it is a single, large room.

The upstairs is another matter. The floor is wooden and there are a few cracks that allow smoke from the bottom to come up and give the place a lovely, smoky smell, and not to mention an interesting fog that is constantly on the floors, but not the air. The upstairs is slightly smaller, and is circular. There are no fires on the top floor, for obvious reasons. It is circular, with rooms along the edge, with a common ground in the center. The rooms have canvas tops and there are no spaces inbetween the walls and the floor, for privacy reasons.

Kouen's room is that of a military leader. Battleplans and statistics are hung on her wall along with maps of the surrounding area. Her desk is made of a dark wood and is covered in papers that she has Kenmei take care of. Her bed is a large, blue silked mat that is about 10 inches thick, and with throw pillows covering nearly all of it. There is a silk cover over it to keep her warm on the cold winter nights.

Kenmei's room is off limits to eveyone. Those who do not comply will be used in one of her experiments.

Kouen smiled as Ryu whispered in her ear and closed the gap between them. "Oh, I knew that this was going to be fun from the moment I saw you..." she said back to him, her faithful companion rolling it's crimson orbs.

"I could undast'nd 'f ya' h'd juist c'm back fr'm a moveh or ah dinnah 'n' yer were flirt'n', bu' ya' jus' met da guy... Show some shame, wom'n..." Ling scolded, beginning to descend towards the massive tent that she lived in.

The canvas monster of a living quarters was hidden by a waterfall, and it looked as if the massive hawk would fly straight into it, drenching the two. But, Kouen's prod with her booted heel saved her and her friend from being cold, wet, and on top of a flying bird with a strange sense of justice. Instead, Ling swerved around it and landed gently to the opening of the tent. He folded his massive wings in and shook his head disapprovingly. "Yer gone 'n' doin' 't ag'n, Ko'..." He turned hi large head around and his eys looked at his almost daughter-like mistress. They were wise and calm, obviously that bird knew what he was talking about.

Kouen's eyes soften at Ling's last statement, and a faraway look came into her eye. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out besides a small exhale of breath. She closed her mouth and gripped Ling's feathers tightly in her hand. Her alabastor face showed no emotion on it as she opened her mouth once more and spoke, "Ling, do not step outside of your boundries. You are a summon, I am your mistress. Obey your orders and nothing more." Her voice was as cold as the tempurature that it was outside at that time, and her crimson eyes looked like two frozen pools of blood because of a glare coming from the soft light around her.

"Y's, m'str's..." Ling said sorrowfully, turning his head around and hanging it slightly. He opened his wings a tad to allow her easier an easier exit. His brown wings where beginning to shake for some reason, but Kouen paid no attention to it as she slid gracefully off of her summoned friend after wiggling out of Ryu's hold once more.

"Come, Ryu-dono, it is warm and safe inside my home. It's most likely not what you are used to, but it's cozy and comfortable," Kouen explained to him, the warmth coming back into her voice and a smile growing on her average features as she turned around to face Ryu. She turned heel quickly and walked briskly into a slit in her home's wall.

Inside, she was greeted by a hearty hello from two men dressed in soft leather that covered nearly their entire body, save the face, head, and fingers. They stood side by side with their arms behind them politely. They bowed to Kouen and turned heel, walking into the kitchen briskly. "Loyal, but food minded," she mumbled as her men entered into the kitchen.

The Kousekikage smiled at the woman after her statement, and as she slipped from in between the to males. But a pint of sadness stirred in his heart as he wished that Nayami would say something like that to him. Though he soon shrugged it off while tuning into Kouen and Ling's little conversation. It annoyed the man when someone talked about him as if he wasn't around, but he didn't let that bother him.

At her confirmation, the Crystal Kage leaped off of the summon and landed into the snow with a loud, but soft, crunch. Some of the snow he landed in managed to cover his shoes and go in between his toes. Indeed, he wanted to yell and flop around until it left his body, but Ryu wasn't the kind of person who enjoyed making a fool of himself, especially around foreign people.

Following diagnally behind the Otakikage, Ryu found himself in a warm tent. Due to the tempurature, and constant rubbing of his toes, the snow melting quickly. He had an urge to pounce on the woman, and take control of her, but that urge faded very soon once he saw that he wasn't the only man in there.
Does she take advantage of weaker men, just as I do of weaker woman? he asked himself. Nah, I don't think that's her style. I'm getting tired of weak women anyway.

With a strange look in the ninja's eye, he waved at the two men just before they went off into the kitchen. He avoided asking the lady who they were, and he turned sideways to face her as he stepped to the right of Kouen's body. "Nice little place you got here," he said quietly while his orbs turned in different directions to see everything. "Do you have a place for me to sit, Kouen-dono?" he asked politely before he yawned heavily.

Happy laughter drifted around the bottom floor from the kitchen and the scattered spots of men and the occasional woman lying on their sides on the cushions of pillows. A feeling of calm and comfort washed over Kouen as she took in the smoky smell that was ever with her tent. The walls were as solid as stone when tied to the ground and barely any heat escaped into the cold surroundings. The sound of the waterfall seemed faraway, yet close enough to touch if you reached out beyond the sturdy canvas walls. Kouen turned around and walked passed Ryu slightly and kneeled down at the flap. She touched the bottom with the tips of her fingers and sealed the canvas by using the chakra in her fingers. She tapped the side of the tent with the tips of her fingers and smiled weakly as an odd blue ripple seemed to go out from the point where her fingers touched. "Apologies, my nakama. But, I do that too keep things out that shouldn't be... Annoying bugs. But, all that is needed to get in is a mildly coursing of chakra through the tips of your fingers. Ah, well I like to leave things open, as anyone is allowed to leave whenever they like, but I have told you before... I do not fear many things. But caution must be used... Now, Ryu-dono, follow me to the common place, the spots by the fire tend to be too warm for my men as they revel in this weather, as we can rest or discuss a few things there..." Kouen's demeanor seemed to have stayed the same as she went on a small ramble about how she liked to run things, but she barely noticed what she did anymore when not in battle. That was Kenmei's battle.

A dull buzz filled the silence that Kouen so hated. Silence deafened her, as the thought, regrets, and the occasional song that she thought she had forgotten long ago. Her steps her quiet, but oddly heavy in the way she set her foot down. She navigated a path between the blue silk with embroidered designs mot likely made by Kenmei on long nights with nothing but the stars above her. Kouen's white hair fell over one eye giving her a gloomy effect, but her smile and the way she ruffled her men's hair when she passed them made that effect cancel. After what seemed like a mile, her crimson eyes glinted in the main fire's light, the blue cushions close enough to feel the charming warmth of the fire, but far away enough to keep the delicate material from catching aflame.

Kouen lowered herself onto a soft mat with a few pops of her joints and a pained cringe. A weary smile crossed onto her face as she stared into the flame, her body was always ready for rest as she lounged lazily on the blue mat. Her alabastor hand laid across a series of pillows and she leaned her head back for a moment, closing her eyes. She mumbled a few words that sounded like "Kenmei can handle tonight's paperwork" and she brought her head back up. The mat she was laying on had pillows to the side and front to give it a couch-like feel. The silk was warm from the heat of the fire and the light blue stitchings gleamed and shined as if small jewels were sown in as well.

Ryu watched in interest as she performed her miracles. The nifty little trick she did with tent's walls caught his attention. It was something that would've been very useful to him several years ago. "Right that thing called safety. It tends to help people from time to time. I only use it when I'm not feeling lazy," The Kage stated as if it were something to be proud of. He stood still for a moment as she began to walk off, then followed closely behind. This was usually the moment where his perverted hormones would kick in, but her loyal men where scattered around everywhere. Damn it to Hell, he thought as he occasionally glanced down at the split located on the back of her skirt.

As if he were some sort of protective moniter, his eyes darted to each person she touch and examined both of their reactions as close as possible. Ryukinzo then came to the hasty conclusion that was single, and quite possibly a whore for staying with so many men.

The warm area comforted Ryu greatly. It was warm enough that it tempted him to loosen his sash since he could feel a bit humidity there. The Crystal Kage didn't want it to build up and form an odor...

Ryu watched her closely as she positioned herself onto the comfortable mat, then scanned the place of the men around him to make sure they weren't about to put their lives in jeopardy...they must know of the great Crystal Kage already...or maybe they are just kind people. The male with te fiery hair slipped off his shoes and stood directly behind the sitting woman with his arms crossed.
"Coozy," he stated, just before he glanced down at her white hair which resembled as snow-covered hill or mountain from his angle. "Are you the only woman around here," he questioned quietly and curiously with a few wrinkles in his forehead.

Kouen leaned her head back and smiled to the man standing behind her. She shifted slightly so that she was sitting sideways on the mat and could look up to him correctly. "Is something wrong? Would you rather be somewhere else? Oh! Kenmei is always telling me my stupidity. I forgot about your present..." Kouen's short attention span plagued her like locusts on the fields of her homeland.

She shook her head vigorously, causing her short hair to go out around her like a halo. "I'm realy sorry, Ryu-dono..." she said with a small smile as she eased herself up. From her comfortable seat by the warm fire, she had somehow managed to get her men to come down from the upstairs and fill in the common area, leaving the upstairs to her. If one looked carefully, a slight red tint coursed in the chakra protection of the tent. Kouen's lips formed into a smirk as the easily(if you knew how) manipulated chakra went back to it's previous state of transparent.

Her hips cracked and her skirt fell into it's normal, perfectly straight flow that went down to her ankles and she straightened her shaw so that it wasn't as lopsided. "Now, if you'd like, please follow me to my room. I have my treasures in there..." she said to him in a calm, quiet voice. She bowed smally and turned her heel to go towards the stairs that were surprisingly sturdy, this was most likely a result of all the chakra flowing through the floors, the walls, and in the air.

Kouen's footfalls were light as she went up the stairs. Her hips swung left and right as a past injury makes going up stairs difficult unless she moved her entire lower half to compensate for one not working part. Soon she reached the upper level and walked smoothly over to a door that had the same aura around it that the tent did, only it glowed yellow when someone approached it. "Kai!" Kouen said quietly, and the aura went away. She opened the door and stepped inside silently.
