Did anyone watch it when it had the amazing lineups of shows? It was a few years ago. I really miss Kenshin and Cowboy BeBop being shown regularly...

Ronin Warriors. Best Classic Toonami ever had... til they canceled it! I now have them on DVD, with the OAV's too. mrgreen If it wasnt for Ronin Warriors, I wouldnt be here right now. Here's a pic of them if no one remembers

Yeah, Kenshin and Cowboy Bebop were like two of the best. I also miss Outlaw Star which was definitely among my top favorite anime shows of all time.

I always forget Outlaw Star... That was really great...
And Ronin Warriors? Hell. Yes... I had a crush on the green guy... I don't even remember what he looks like... eek

They never actually showed all the Ruroni Kenshin or Rounin Warriors episodes. They completely left out one of the OUtlaw Star one too because of nudity.
I really miss the old Gundams. Ones like Gundam Wing or G Gundam, not the ones like SD. I also miss Witch Hunter Robin & Zoids (which again they never finished), and every last good anime they used to show. Now all you get are the horribly edited versions of Naruto (I'm actually a Naruto fan, but they screwed the anime up so bad when they dubbed it) and random anime that really aren't all that great to begin with

Oh, Dude I almost forgot about Witch Hunter Robin. I used to love that show. Zoids was also one of my top favorite anime shows, but I like Zoids Chaotic Century more than the other one.

Zoids wasn't my favorite, but it was fun.
I'm so glad I made this thread... I feel like I should be saying "Back in MY day..." and "When I was a kid..." I feel old...

*snickers* I know what you mean. 'course we were probably watching anime before it was really popular, so it's not tat much of a suprise.
As for Zoids I liked both. Even built one of the moving models that they had back then. Strangely enough it just so happened to be the Liger Zero

Aw.. ZOIDS! I loved Irvine! I still have his Command Wolf toy sitting on my shelf! Outlaw Star was awesome too. Salior Moon... I own a shirt of the Outer Senshi xd I love Sailor Pluto! Oh in Ronin Warriors Michiyo. The green one's name was Sage. I loved Rowen (dark Blue)

Eh, I dunno. Both are equally as good. I mean, sure there's no more 08th MS Team, but there's Eureka Seven. No more Robotech, but now there's Evangelion, or at least there was. And new Toonami is making it's own stuff, like IGPX. You've gotta admire that.
And, frankly, cutting off Kenshin was a good thing. Now, I love, love, LOVE that cast to death, but the second half of the anime is just...painful. One arc was about Tai Chi. And saving japan through proper statue placement. OR ELSE A HUGE ENERGY DRAGON WAS GONNA EAT IT. No. No. NO.
I DO wish we had more Outlaw Star, but, I got the box set to there'd be no point for me, anyway.
Anyway, the lack of Witch Hunter Robin I'm fine with. I mean, I kinda liked it, but it often tried it's best to bore me to death. While it's technically not the same thing, I think GitS pulls off the 'somewhat realistic looking unrealistic elite team' in a much more entertaining fashion, to the point that I was enthralled by an episode that took place entirely in a chatroom.

Toonami's only making new stuff to a point. Sure I love IGPX, but then cartoon network got crazy and started showing it at a different time so that it was taken off of Toonami. I never got to see the last episode of it's second season
